Comments on the packaging

Flavor Art, a pioneering brand in Europe, today offers us its reinterpretation of a great classic: the Ry4.

Very focused on the security of e-liquids, the brand claims a production without protein, GMO, diacetyl, preservative, sweetener, coloring, gluten and no more alcohol. This being a good guarantee to avoid most of the controversies or problems related to the voluntary or involuntary introduction of questionable molecules.

The Ry4 is part of the classic range, a range dedicated to tobacco, composed of a ratio of 50% PG, 40% VG, the rest being divided between aromatic compounds, Milli-Q water and nicotine . This is offered to us in various rates: 0, 4.5, 9 and 18mg / ml.

We have a traditional PET bottle and a rather original cap / dropper tandem since the cap does not separate from the bottle. The tip is thin enough for any type of filling, even if the presence of the stopper may interfere in some cases.

With a price of 5.50 €, we are of course on the entry level. The price corresponds to the core target of the manufacturer: first-time vapers and, by extension, intermediaries not wishing to change their vaping habits.

Vapelier's note regarding the respect of various conformities (except religious): 4.63 / 5 4.6 5 out of stars

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

No glaring problem with the legal aspects. We have the necessary warnings, the pictogram indicating danger, that for the visually impaired, the DLUO and a batch number. Of course, the famous mandatory notice and some pictograms are missing, but the written warnings, if they are not sufficient, counterbalance this absence.

Child safety is different from that usually used (with locking of the disengageable thread by pressing). It consists of pressing on both sides of the cap to allow it to be unlocked. We could be wary about the effectiveness but it is clear that it works.

The name of the laboratory and a telephone number complete the range to ensure unblemished visibility and transparency. Some information is at the limit of visibility but it is the game of 10ml bottles overloaded with information.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Comments on the packaging

The packaging is traditional. If we except the stopper / dropper unit which will probably disappear in the next batches, nothing exceptional distinguishes this bottle from the whole production in this level of the range.

The manufacturer's logo covers the label, overlying an illustration relating to the product name, which name appears roughly within the image. Nothing very artistic here but just a simple bottle that is neither exceptional nor unworthy and announces the color of an entry-level liquid.

About color, that of the cap varies depending on the level of nicotine. Green for 0, light blue for 4.5, dark blue for 9, and red for 18.

Sensory appreciations

  • Color and product name agree ?: Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree ?: Yes
  • Definition of odor: Vanilla, Blond Tobacco
  • Definition of taste: Sweet, Vanilla, Caramel, Tobacco
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: Yes
  • This liquid reminds me: The Ry4 of my first novice vapoteur emotions.

Comments on the taste of the juice

For all those who have recently started vaping, it is necessary to remember what an RY4 is.

The Ry4 (or Ruyan 4) is a recipe created by Ludo from the Janty company and a flavor specialist from the Dekang company in 2006. If we are to believe the legend, the two men would have released five versions in a single afternoon of Sunday in a kind of intellectual challenge and would have kept the fourth.

Le Ruyan takes its name from the very first brand of electronic cigarette that we owe to Hon-Lik, its inventor, as a sort of tribute. I don't know if the two men knew exactly what they were doing that day, but in any case, the RY4 has become the symbol of the complex recipe, a commercial bestseller and a de facto standard. The concept of gourmet tobacco was born on a Sunday ...

Today, we can no longer count the number of brands that have a Ry4 in their range and this recipe is still, although out of fashion, very sold today.

Flavor Art offers us its reading of this standard. We immediately find a blond tobacco base, very soft, reminiscent of the manufacturer's Virginia. To this measure of tobacco are added the two ingredients without which the Ry4 would not be one: vanilla and caramel.

The recipe is balanced and joins, more or less, the first legendary marketings like the Janty Ry4 Classic. It differs from it, however, by being particularly sweet and much smoother, less dry. This is certainly due to the real rate of 40% of vegetable glycerin contained in the liquid and its very specific sweet effect which we have already discussed.

The juice is therefore good but some may find that it lacks that specific tobacco dryness and a little restraint on the sugar result. On the other hand, it will be perfect for novice vapers that it will accompany in 2017 as the first Ry4 had accompanied those of 2006. Even if there are better ones, the Ry4 of Flavor Art is typical of this kind of taste and holds what it is. 'he promises.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Valued on a tight clearomizer, this is where the Ry4 by Flavor Art will find its favorite ground.

Unlike its colleagues in the same range, it does not develop a remarkable vapor, a sign that the level of aromas is greater. The hit is light, favoring the perception of flavors to the detriment of sensation. It ramps up well and holds up hot temperatures (don't burn yourself anyway !!!).

The aromatic power is average and requires a really precise atomizer on the flavors to enjoy the full range of flavors proposed.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of the day: Morning, Morning - coffee breakfast, Morning - chocolate breakfast, Morning - tea breakfast, End of lunch / dinner with a coffee, End of lunch / dinner with a digestif, All afternoon during activities for everyone, End of the evening with or without herbal tea, The night for insomniacs
  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: Yes

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.47 / 5 4.5 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

The score was known and Flavor Art plays its own arrangement, applied and conscientious.

The result is tastefully interesting and close to the initial recipe even if we can blame a mask effect from the overflow of sugar, a constant in the range.

However, there is still a beautiful open door to vaping for all smokers in search of a cure. And that is the point of this range, a noble point if there is one, with all due respect to the proponents of good taste who have too quickly forgotten where they came from and might consider this liquid not swag enough for them.

In terms of vape, snobbery also exists.
