Comments on the packaging

Ah, fruit lovers should be in for a treat with the juice we're going to review today! From the outset, it announces the color, all dressed in red, in a transparent glass bottle, certainly not very conducive to avoiding the nastiness of UV rays which persist in destroying our best e-liquids, but still elegant.

Equipped with a glass pipette with a medium-sized tip, the Red Dingue is thus ready to feed your most voracious atomizers but will no doubt meet some reluctance on the most tense fillings. No problem, when you love, you find the necessary solutions !!!

Mounted on a 50/50 base, the e-liquid is available in 0, 3, 6 and 11mg / ml of nicotine and in 30ml. We can feel here that the manufacturers are making full use of the state of grace that the TPD leaves them for a few more months to feast us on containers conducive to satisfying our passion with dignity. And that's good, let's take advantage, it will unfortunately not last.

Propylene and glycerin are of plant origin, certified GMO-free. The aromas are natural. From the best, we can demand the best and, for proof, they offer it to us without being asked for anything.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

The French Liquide has accustomed us to perfection on all of its ranges and the Red Dingue is no exception to the rule except for one “detail” which we will see below.

Logos, mentions, warnings… the whole legal panoply is deployed like a standard of resistance, in the greatest clarity and visibility. The brand remains on solid achievements in this area and that is very good.

And yet, today, once is not customary, there is a downside.

From the outset, we see that a red dye gives the juice a Hariboesque tint. This type of red reminiscent of another “Red” but Astaire this one, you know what I mean… Without going into the controversy which makes one wonder the interest of coloring a juice since it neither influences the taste, nor on steam, I confine myself to noting that the composition of Red Dingue does not mention the presence of coloring. However, by using the QR Code on the label, we arrive on a page where it is indicated the presence of a “Red Dingue dye”. It's good but it doesn't mean anything.

The red dyes that I know are E124 (Ponceau 4R), allergen, suspected of being carcinogenic and banned in many countries. There is also the Cochineal Red (E120), of natural and animal origin, rarer because more expensive. Then the E122 (Carmoisine), not really much better than the E124 as well as the various E163 (Anthocyanins), of plant origin and derivatives of plants or red fruits (beet, blueberry…).

However, to my knowledge, there is no such thing as a “Red Dingue” dye. It would therefore be fashionable for the manufacturer to be able to indicate which dye is used in this e-liquid on the label. This is not the case, it is a shame and not in the habits of the house. Because, of two things, if the dye is chemical and potentially allergenic, it seems imperative to specify it on the label to avoid the health problems that could arise. Conversely, if the dye is of natural origin and / or devoid of toxicity, why not indicate it and communicate it?

Comments on the packaging

Of course, I'm also not hermetic that the color of the juice boosts conditioning. But the same effect could have been obtained with a red bottle, as Swoke knows how to do, for example.

Apart from that, the packaging is therefore very attractive, in particular the poor “mad cow” on the label which becomes, despite itself, the insane symbol of this liquid. It's funny, nice and we do like the bulls in front of the color red: we go for it…. And as we also rush behind the first cow that passes, I let you imagine the potential of seduction of this liquid. It drives you crazy!

Comments on the taste of the juice

Behind the bling-bling aspect of the color hides an excellent e-liquid. One of those that fruity lovers must absolutely try. The recipe seems simple. A raspberry of natural origin takes its place in the mouth, just slickened by a cooling agent which, for once, is not menthol or koolada. So probably WS3 or xylitol but I could be wrong.

In any case, the fresh effect is reduced to its proper proportion, even if it is present and makes the promise of raspberry sorbet entirely credible. The recipe is therefore quite simple to understand but, like all the obvious, it must be hard to make and you can fully appreciate the fact that you have a realistic raspberry taste in your mouth. The fruit is tender, rather ripe and sweet and lacking that typical acidity of some winter raspberries available on our stalls.

An excellent fruity simple and refreshing.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 30 W
  • Type of vapor obtained at this power: Dense
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Medium
  • Atomizer used for the review: Vapor Giant Mini V3, Cyclone AFC
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 1
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kanthal, Fiber Freaks Cotton Blend D1

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

As with any fruit, avoid too low resistances and too high temperatures. The Red Crazy is vapable in any configuration, clearo, dripper, RTA and its aromatic power is average but will tolerate the aeration of your choice without problem. The vapor is nice for a 50/50 and the hit is decent.

My mood ticket on this juice

It should be remembered above all that the Red Dingue is a very good juice, perfect for this end of summer, fresh without excess and well built around a generous and sweet raspberry.

Nothing will come to disturb your moment of tranquility, fullness and bliss (Please add in the comments other terms in… ude, I have finished all mine) when you vape this juice, which is as much a delicacy as a moment of freshness. Not even the presence of dye which makes me, every time, see… RED!

ADDENDUM

Editor's note: Following our reviews on Red Dingue, Le French Liquide sent us the new label which clearly states the presence of the dye. It was therefore a labeling error on the first batch. It will therefore be perfectly transparent for all the next batches. We thank the manufacturer for their responsiveness.

LE E163 is a food coloring of natural origin from the Anthocyanin class which is extracted directly from the skin of certain red fruits. A dye devoid of harmfulness. Well done LFL.
