Who had it Gru? Sorry, who would have believed it? In a vaping world where atomizers follow each other and resemble each other to such an extent that one would think oneself on Geonosis in the middle of the clone war, the arrival of the Pixy could not go unnoticed. The product's completely “banana” aesthetic is blowing a breath of fresh air on a category or “black, it's black and gray, it's gray” and could well propel this RDTA towards a great commercial success, like the Dragon Ball RDTA a few months ago.
Ample Vape, to whom we owe this crime of lesion-intellectual property on which, being neither a shareholder at Universal, nor a specialist in law, nor an ardent defender of Hollywood machines, I would not expand, is an obscure mark Chinese little known in our European countries and who seems to want to specialize in the “fun” adaptation of great classics of the vape. Good for us, the vape also deserves a little relaxation of the zygomatic and, at the very least, there is no risk of confusing the Pixy with the last Kayfun.
For the rest, we have here a fairly classic RDTA but which still hides some nice finds that I will detail you below. An entry-level product whose friendly price has been calibrated for maximum commercial expansion, as long as one is looking for a UFO to vape. Double-coil and with a juice carrying capacity between 2ml and 4.5ml depending on the amount of cotton you will slip into the tank, the Pixy multiplies the airholes like Jesus multiplied the loaves and is therefore presented as an atomizer airy, potential steam locomotive for a vape that we guess direct from direct.
Available in yellow (what else?), In black (what's the point?) Or in a steel finish (are you sure you're really fun?), The Pixy strolls with its friendly face and only waits for a circular gesture to screw on your favorite box… yellow if possible.

Aesthetically, the ato is “cute”, how could it be otherwise? In its yellow livery, putting on a pair of glasses and displaying a blissful smile, the object undoubtedly marks the spirits. But, as nothing is left to chance, we realize that the eyes of the sympathetic character are air intakes, as is the mouth. Everything is adjustable, by an inner ring for the look and by choosing the orientation of the top-cap from the outside for the rest.
The materials used are of good quality. We have a fairly thick steel for the body, a pyrex for the tank and a nice dose of beautifully applied paint which brings a perceived quality of good omen. Assemblies are not a problem and disassembly / reassembly is easy. The different threads are correct and the seals are not a problem. However fanciful the object may be, we quickly realize that the fun-game stopped before the production line and that the work exudes a good quality, especially if we compare it to the price claimed.
The steel plate has a coiled bracket largely inspired by Velocity and the positive part is gold-plated, as is the retaining screw that also acts as a positive pin for the 510 connection. We use a key BTR supplied to fix the legs and the surface of the plate, very well finished, presents four holes of diving or you insert your cotton to lower it in the tank and two airholes of beautiful dimension which take place under the coils. Nothing but traditional but tried.
Less frequent, the positive part of the fixing gantry contains a central hole which will be used to fill the atomizer with the liquid inlets located on the pylon holding the tank. It's seen and, in use, it works perfectly. The top-cap contains a plastic element that closes the filling hole, thus preventing liquid from rising in case you decide to carry out an urbi et orbi blessing with your set-up.
Likewise, the airflow is easy to work with because we can play on the total or partial closing or opening of the airholes represented by the eyes of the yellow man, but we can also hide the look and keep only the airholes materialized by the two vents by turning the top-cap. The whole thing gives us a great latitude of action to find the flow of air which is appropriate while carrying the marks of a very air ato. Fans of single coil typed precise and saturated flavors are requested to come back at the next session.
The bottom-cap has four series of scratches to facilitate the unscrewing of the ato. Connection 510 is not adjustable, the positive screw used to secure the gantry. Product and brand name engravings tattoo our lovely character's ass, if you allow me this popular license.

Beyond the various airflow settings that we have already mentioned and the central filling, the functions of the Pixy are quite conventional and belong to the large family of RDTA.
The plunge holes allow the cotton to slide into the tank. It's up to you to define if you want the cotton to be immersed in depth, in which case you will obtain a shortened autonomy of around 2ml or if you prefer to cut the cotton short enough and keep it towards the top of the tank, in which case you will recover all the space available for the liquid itself (4.5ml) but you will have to tilt (return the atomizer) to feed your cotton when the tank is well used.
In all cases, a minimum of attention should be paid to the dosage of the capillary. The cotton must “take” the coil well in order to avoid creating hot spots on the legs but must not obstruct the plunge holes too densely so that the liquid can pass without constraint. Nothing new, it is the case with the majority of RDTAs. However, we quickly find the dosage of comfort that allows you to vape at ease, without dry-hits or leaks of any kind.

We have a cardboard box very (too?) Sober black and white that protects the Pixy by a rather compact foam.
You can find a BTR key, a bag of spares fairly minimalist but sufficient and containing two pre-formed resistors as well as a cotton pad. What to start quickly without really needing anything else.
I note, alas, the deafening absence of the slightest attempt at a manual, in any language whatsoever ... a very bad point because, even if the Pixy more readily targets confirmed vapers who like clouds, we would have liked a technical description, some assembly advice, warnings for potential beginners tempted by the artist's good face. But nada! So, I will make the ultimate effort to describe the object to you with the following personalized instructions:

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
Assembly and disassembly of the coils pose no problem. The manipulations are simple and your resistances quickly find the ideal place. The plate being wide, we are safe for coils with an internal diameter of 3 or even 3.5mm.
The holes for the legs are well sized and will allow the use of any type of resistive, simple or complex.
The filling is the big strong point of the atomizer. After removing the top-cap, just insert your pipette, tip or syringe into the hole reserved for this purpose (with a diameter of 4.5mm anyway!) And it's done in a few seconds. Easier, the liquid would have to jump out of the bottle by itself into the ato… who knows, maybe one day… 😉
The capillary dosage is quite simple to do and I got the best results by cutting the cotton whiskers short enough so that they do not go too deep into the reservoir (5mm from the edge). In this way, the quantity of cotton is more easily managed at the level of the dip holes and obstructions for the passage of the liquid are avoided.
Let's talk now because we may have a beautiful little mouth of love, it is all the same at the moment of the act that we understand the capacities of the man. Well, the so cute “minion” is a savage, more comfortable in strong powers and low resistances to generate clouds whose volume would make lose a testicle to a fireman. In terms of flavors, we are not so bad even if the comparison quickly stops with an atomizer really made for. The best compromise, in my opinion, is obtained by obscuring the eyes / airholes of the ato to keep only the vents which, by conveying the air below the resistors, help the flavors to extract themselves from the surrounding magma.
It is therefore easy to live with, accepts without hesitation to climb the towers as long as the assembly is adequate and delivers a high intensity of clouds conducive to the creation of hurricanes. The flavors are correct for the category and everything will navigate smoothly between airy and very airy, depending on your personal choices. Anyway, material made for a direct vape without concession, brutal and dense.

Beyond finally adding a comic element to your wise collection of more or less metallic tubes, the funny ato does not laugh at you when sending the mash! He “bananas” severe and is made for that!
