More recently, the Pipeline Pro was, at its release, a revolution in electronic mods. Because, made in Germany by Dicodes, it presented itself as a finally credible alternative to Provari which, at that time, reigned supreme on luxury mod, commercially and qualitatively.

A little less expensive than its rival, it displayed a significant gain in power and new features to stand out from the American benchmark. The bet was playable because the German was pouring into the market with a serious desire to do battle and trumps up its sleeve.

At exceptional prices, the consumer has the right to expect exceptional manufacturing. The Pipeline Pro made no dead ends or clumsy. The switch button is very pleasant and enduring even if its sensitivity sometimes makes it subject to double clicks which open the menu. The bottom cap is a piece of goldsmith's work with a screw thread that still today could largely set off a school and the sober finish seems timeless as its quality meets perfection.

After months of use, more or less significant traces due to shocks or intensive use may appear but in no way affect the mod's ability to function unabated.

Besides, the manufacturer was not mistaken since, to my knowledge, it is the only mod that offers a two-year warranty.

The great novelty of this mod is to bring a new way of smoothing the output using alternating current rather than direct current. The oscillation therefore takes place at a frequency of 200khz and gives a perfectly linear rendering. In addition, without being an electronics specialist, I noticed that the autonomy was greater, with the same battery and power, than that of other mods of the same type.
The mod also offers a function called “Heat Protection”, adjustable, whose impact on the quality of vape is not to be minimized. Indeed, this function creates micro-cuts according to a time delay that the user can define, which makes it possible to keep the coil at an equal temperature (or at least to avoid overheating) in order to equalize the rendering of flavors on the duration of the puff.
We can just blame a fairly complex menu requiring adaptation time as well as error management which forces the user to intervene in order to make the mod functional again.

It seems that not all consumers who bought this mod have received equal treatment for the packaging. Thus, I received mine in an elegant aluminum tube type cigar case as well as a notice in French. But this is not the case for everyone.

In short, I can only judge the packaging that I personally had in my hands during my delivery, so I invite any interested buyer to check with their merchant for more information. It is however a shame to see such disparities that only a reduction in production costs could explain, which would be relatively petty given the serious price of the object.

In use, the mod is up to its technical specifications. Extremely stable over 98% of the battery life (I personally noticed a slight drop in power when the battery is at its limit and the mod signals it to us with a blink), it makes a vape efficient and very smooth that magnifies the flavors.

However, it is not free from flaws. The switch, moreover very pleasant to use, has difficulty supporting two quick presses in a row and makes us switch quickly in the menu instead of firing.

The Heat Protection, disengageable, is effective but may not be suitable for everyone because, as it contains the heat of the resistance by micro-cuts, it can also give a “less power” rendering of the vape.

The mod is also equipped with a very useful function which allows the user to decide at what voltage level of the battery the mod should warn him and stop. Thus, IMR batteries which withstand a significant discharge very well to maintain their charging potential seem particularly suitable and the user can adjust the threshold around 2.5V. On the other hand, Lithium-Ion batteries do not support such a significant discharge and using them in this way on this mod will inevitably alter their lifespan.
