Comments on the packaging

Flavor Power is an Auvergne brand that mainly offers entry and mid-range juices. Liquids are grouped into ranges according to their flavor.

Our liquids of the day, Pastis Mauresque, is of course classified in the “Drunkenness” range. It is offered in a PG / VG ratio of 80/20. The nicotine dosages cover the whole demand since we find 0, 6, 12, 18mg / ml. We therefore have to do with an entry-level liquid in its most classic expression.

This is a great time to test this liquid. It is summer, it is the holidays and, at the time of the aperitif, we meet around the table for the inevitable “Pastaga”! So, do you like it plain, parrot, tomato? How about trying Moorish instead?

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

Flavor Power, despite its false “hippie” brand airs, leaves no room for chance or doubt when it comes to safety. All the mandatory elements are present, we find the TPD notice under the repositionable label. It is therefore a deserved 5/5!

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Bof
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 4.17 / 5 4.2 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

The overall presentation is rather summary. On a black background embellished with bronze-gray floral patterns, there is a light yellow rectangle in which the name of the juice appears in black letters. Below, the brand's logo embellished with its iconic little daisy. The rest of the label is “cluttered” with all the legal information.

It's not spooky, but in view of the pricing position, it's quite satisfactory.

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 4.38/5 4.4 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

Pastis is probably one of the most popular aperitifs in France. It is common to associate it with a syrup (mint, grenadine ..) to obtain an even more typical cocktail. In the case of the Moorish, it is syrup of orgeat, a sweet almond syrup that smells of schoolchildren glutinous.

At the opening of the bottle, no doubt, it's aperitif time. You have the impression of having your nose above the neck of a bottle of Pastis, star anise fills your nostrils as effectively as the real one.

At the tasting, it's also bluffing, you really have the impression of tasting a well-dosed pastis. The flavors of anise, licorice, caramel are found married in a herbaceous sensation which fills you the palate.

The Moorish side is almost masked by the strength of our southern alcohol, but we can guess, in the back of the mouth, a slightly softer note, but it is very subtle and it will undoubtedly be necessary to play with the dripper to be able to distinguish it. .

In any case, this liquid should be reserved for lovers of good old Pastis, because the aromatic power, quite impressive, may disgust some. But it will command the admiration of fans of “yellow”!

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

A juice made for all initiation set-ups or a little more advanced. No need to take out the heavy artillery! Personally, I tried it in a soft and not very airy vape on my gsl and, of course, it worked perfectly. I also tested it on my tsunami in double coil at 0.4Ω on a power of 30W and it seemed to me to hold up well. So a fairly versatile juice despite its 80/20 ratio.

My mood ticket on this juice

As I said in the preamble, this is the right time for me to test this Pastis Mauresque. I am not a fan of this alcohol, but once a year, during the holidays, I like to immerse myself in the image of Épinal of the Pastaga aperitif! I know, it's silly, but it's almost a necessary step that plunges me into the nostalgia of my childhood where Pastis was the king on the adult table.

The flavor is really well found in Flavor Power juice. Anise, liquorice, caramel, combined in a liquid with herbaceous and refreshing notes. On this part, the liquid is perfect.

There remains the Moorish, there it is much less obvious and if the juice was called just “Pastis”, the count would be good. The orgeat syrup does not manage to express itself correctly, at best we feel a softer note at the end of the puff, but this is probably only due to the name which prompts you to look for our syrup.

Despite this, we can only fall in love with this juice, provided of course that you like the Marseille aperitif. In my case, this saved me from risking the points of my license by giving in to the call of nostalgia during an aperitif under the sun with friends.

The Moorish pastis has for me Proust's madeleine accents, even if I am not an absolute fan of this drink.

Patrick! It's aperitif time, we're waiting for you!

Good vape

Vince
