I will not speak here of the atomizers of the genesis V2 type (and now V2 mk II in 4 or 6 ml) of this moderator who knows a world notoriety. With a modern look and impeccable finish quality, the V3 is in appearance similar to its brethren, except the tank.
For a high price, we could have found it normal that it had been properly conditioned. This is absolutely not the case and it is regrettable. This atomizer, due to its remarkable design and its design combining the useful and the pleasant has of course already been cloned and without entering into controversy, know that for a more than modest price, the Chinese offer a copy (notorious counterfeit) in a cardboard box! It's rudimentary, of course, but better than nothing. That being said, not to praise a counterfeit but just to point out the unfortunate difference in packaging.

A little wonder of finishing!
The top, if it is of the same material as the other visible parts, is distinguished by its "anodized" aesthetic. Once mounted, the ato therefore presents two distinct aspects: shiny for the top-cap, the airflow ring and the tank cover, and a rather matt 2mm thick ring which corresponds to the "floor" of the plate on which the tank cover ring fits perfectly.
The 5 heat dissipating fins reveal the conical design of the heating chamber. 4 other fins of smaller diameter cover the top-cap and provide additional ventilation to the base of the drip-tip.
The positive pin is not adjustable in height (from the 510 connection).
The fixing of the positive "tabs" of the resistors can first be screwed on manually. For negative "legs", the supplied Allen key is essential. The seals perfectly perform their function of maintaining the assemblies. The vents adjustment ring is, once adjusted, definitively positioned by screwing the top-cap which holds it firmly. How well thought out this is!
Impeccably realized, here is finally enough to justify the price of this ato, a jewel without box.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
The working space of the tray (only difference with the genesis versions) is clear, despite a small rim around the perimeter of the tank. It is easy to mount the coils there.
The high position of the clamping of the positive pin with respect to those of the negative studs makes the making of horizontal coils difficult, even downright painful, (a length of "tab" of the resistance can lead to errors in values and a hot spot detrimental to everything. points of view). Prefer a vertical assembly, you can choose your hairline: cotton, FF, mesh….
The advantage of vertical mounting lies in the small space occupied by the capillary in the tank, thus leaving a larger useful volume for the liquid. As much the cotton will be a problem to pass from top to bottom without too much packing the area of the turns, there is no problem with the FF or the mesh.
During assembly, the capillaries at the high resistance output must not protrude too much, otherwise they will be shriveled by the heating chamber. Leave 2mm below the top of the fixing of the "legs" of the positive pin and stay plumb with the lights of the tank (2mm from the inside edge of the chamber). The inside diameter of the resistance can vary from 2 to 3,5mm.
Like many drippers, the Origen has side vents. They are well raised compared to the tank (2mm for the largest) but subject to the loss of juice in the event of too strong inclination of the set. Tank filled, forget to lay it flat. The choice of a simple coil on the other hand allows greater freedom of movement or positions at rest, as long as you find a way to put a cylindrical mod without it rolling, or that you position the vent correctly (for a flat box).

We will be short, if you do not mind. Note, however, that the choice of the drip tip for which you will opt should take into account the proximity of the positive pin clamping cap. A base too long and you will block the drawdown.

Tank full, you really have to be careful not to fold the set. It is a dripper and it is not designed like the Red Dragon (Youde) to prevent the juice from flowing through the vents. When the level has dropped, the problems disappear in a “normal” tilt situation. By using cotton in single horizontal coil, tank abundantly filled (with cotton), there is no more flow if you do not leave your material lying down for an hour… ..

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
My tests of horizontal coils proved to be inconclusive. I go over the details that were briefly mentioned above. Vertical coils, on the other hand, are one of the most effective solutions.
Between 0.4 and 1,2 ohm, this ato is a pure treat, flavor oriented you will understand. Its reduced heating chamber keeps the vapor produced concentrated and due to its dome shape, any condensate plunges back to the tray.
The use of cellulose fiber (FF2) is a winning option from every point of view: excellent capillarity, little fiber in the tank, therefore more liquid, no dry-hit. I make 3mm diameter coils, 0,30 stainless steel, tight turns, without any heating.
The plumbness of the coil and the light of the tank, if it is properly respected, has 2 advantages: help with capillarity and optimum distance from the vent ring (2mm). With 4 different openings, lovers of tight vape, such as air, will find their "sweet-spot", without however claiming to power-vaping, this ato is not intended for that. I also specify that the ring of the vents has a meaning during the assembly for the correspondence of the vents.
The simple coil design is very interesting to give the dripper an option of autonomy with a moderate vape and values between 0,6 and 1,0 ohm. Either way, you'll get the most out of the flavors of your liquids.
The Origen is a tasting dripper, better suited to vaping at home than for mop or work due to its design. Cleaning with cold water suits him well. Its drying without the coils is very easy. You will need to bring the cotton swab. In all the resistance value configurations tested (0,4 - 0,5 - 0,6 - 0,7 - 0,8 - 1 - 1,2 ohm), the ato heats up from normally to very moderately (more than 0,4 obviously than at 1,2), the cooling fins are effective both for the top-cap and for the drip-tip. In addition, they give all its aesthetic originality to this dripper, in my opinion the best proportioned of the Origen v2 series.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Go for it if your means allow it, the reputation of the Hungarian moderator Norbert is not usurped. Innovating in a dripper becomes quite tricky and it is a must, not revolutionary but simply excellent, significantly improved from V1. You will probably rediscover your liquids with this little gem, it will not disappoint you if you take care of your coils.
