Comments on the packaging

D'lice chose to stay on a relatively hard plastic (PET) bottle to serve us the recipes from the Rêver range. We are using a very traditional 10ml container, correct, but which seems a bit tight to me considering the price.

However, this does not represent a major defect for the inexperienced vaper who is the heart of the target of this product. But maybe a glass bottle with a larger capacity would have allowed D'lice to reach a wider audience.

Today a little holiday air, heading south ... We test the mistral, a cocoa, tobacco mint and coconut.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

D'lice is an old actor known to all. Serious and experienced, compliance with standards is therefore part of the brand's DNA. Too bad you have to go to the site to find the PG / VG ratio, information however very dear to any self-respecting vapoteur.

Appreciation of the packaging

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 3.33 / 5 3.3 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

For this Rêver range, D'lice has chosen a sober, simple but effective code. A black label, stamped with a large R in relief. This R suggests an illustration, a bit like a keyhole. This drawing is supposed of course to have a relation with the name of the product which is inscribed vertically on the right.

In the case of the mistral, the illustration is very beautiful. We can guess the bottom of a female face with very full lips and the dominant color is purple. I do not see the relation with the fresh wind coming from the reliefs, which sweeps the French regions bordering the Mediterranean. But hey, I may not be “open” enough to understand the connection between the design and the name. Unless it is a cagole and at that moment we are in the humor and it does not stick to the spirit of the range either.

Sensory appreciations

  • Color and product name agree ?: Yes
  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree?: No
  • Definition of odor: Chocolate, Menthol, Sweet
  • Definition of flavor: Sweet, Fruit, Menthol, Chocolate, Tobacco
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: I won't splurge on it
  • This liquid reminds me: to a certain extent Coco Paradise, less greedy and necessarily cooler due to the presence of mint

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 3.13/5 3.1 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

So menthol tobacco, chocolate, coconut, that's what the map tells us about the recipe.

Well that's exactly it.

Dark chocolate, associated with menthol tobacco (more menthol than tobacco for that matter) as a dominant note immediately suggests an After Eight ©. But the coconut that makes its appearance at the expiration will bring you back to a flavor closer to a low-sugar Bounty.

It is very well executed, both tasty but light and fresh. This mixture works very well in the end. It's not extraordinary, I would even say that in general terms it is déjà vu. But in the end, the addition of menthol tobacco to this gourmet recipe brings a real novelty to the classic coconut chocolate.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

This liquid does not need ultra elaborate equipment. The PG / VG ratio allows it to be used with all atomizers in the galaxy. No need to take out your box “sixteen batteries coupled in parallel” either, a simple Istick or a variable voltage battery will provide you with the power you need to enjoy the Mistral.

My mood ticket on this juice

The mistral… a cold and violent wind which often invites itself to cool the south of France… D'lice, through its Rêver range, has chosen to interpret this mythical wind for us.

As I said for the symbolism of the illustration, I am not sure that the goal has been reached. As for the recipe, I think it's not bad at all. Chocolate and coconut evoke the Mediterranean sun and mint the freshness of the mistral.

The mistral is pleasant and well thought out, it is really a pleasant experience. Not too heavy, greedy just enough, this liquid once again confirms my idea about this Rêver range. This intermediate step between mono-aroma juices and complex juices. It is really a successful concept, which will allow many “young” vapers to learn about compound flavors without risk of taste saturation and without changing equipment.

I don't think this juice can become an allday but a gourmet and fresh vape for the summer.

Thanks D'lice
