The Mirage Evo new version V4, proposed by AB1 Mach, which improves its previous version, the V3, in its look but no big change for its vape.
Made up of a 3-pin deck with one positive and two negative, it is interchangeable with the deck of the V3 version in BF or sold separately. Designed for the double coil, this atomizer is mainly designed for tasting, so it is the flavors that are preferred with assemblies using a classic resistive. The Evo V4 also offers a nice vapor by combining it with sub-ohm assemblies, without however being a real dedicated cloud maker.
In the bowels of the beast hides a room that reduces the atomizing chamber and acts like a valve that lifts (or not) at each aspiration. This essential piece offers a vape loaded with aroma and gives a compact appearance and felted with steam. This is undoubtedly the secret of the Mirage which comes in two colors: totally stainless steel or stainless steel with the black central ring.
Its diameter remains standard in 22mm, the pin is not adjustable and the arrival by the airflow is variable according to your suction force.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The manufacturing quality does not suffer from any observed defect, obviously the machining is impeccable, each part has a beautiful thickness of material and the shine of the steel is quite astounding, it is 304 stainless steel.
The positive pin and the pin are in gold plated, which makes it possible to preserve durably very good contacts without risk of premature oxidation.
The threads are comfortable with an immediate grip, the seals ensure proper course retention and tightness.
The deck is interchangeable and fits into the base, held by a wide joint. On this plate, three studs ensure the posture of the double coil assembly. They each have only one diameter fixing point of 1.5mm for the negative studs and 2mm for the positive stud in the center.
The spacing between them is quite small and therefore limits the use of a resistive to a basic wire, the clapton and other type of resistive of the style will be difficult or even impossible to set up. The fixing is ensured by BTR screws which must not be too tightened at the risk of cutting the wire. The space is not huge, but sufficient to work.
The plate which is only 18mm in diameter, however offers a sufficient liquid reserve in its tank with 0.5ml, but necessarily it will be enough for the assembly which must not be too low in ohm nor exotic, to remain on correct powers of 45W maximum, beyond, montages will no longer be suitable.
The machining of the tank is quite spectacular, it is not totally hollowed out, since the edges of each stud are provided with a channel to instinctively place your wicks, of course, we lose in the capacity of the atomizer but this allows the assembly to be properly adjusted with the capillary to provide a passage for the air which will be released, in order to obtain beautiful flavors.
An atomizer a bit expensive but totally adjusted to restore the best flavors.

The first function of the Mirage V4 Evo is simply focused on flavors. No need to seek the big sensations in high powers the capacity of assembly double coil of this dripper are limited and do not allow it easily.
The design originality of this ato lies in this part which acts as a valve, it has several functions. At rest, and in the case of a weak suction, it allows the combustion chamber to be reduced to improve the vapor / flavor mix and give the vapor a round, felted and aromatic appearance. In the case of a more sustained suction, it will increase the volume of the chamber and the supply of ambient air. This system (fully screwed cap) also makes it possible to transport this atomizer by making it completely hermetic to leaks, it is also the major evolution since V1.
Another possibility is to purchase a V3 BF mirage deck (sold separately), which offers the opportunity to vaper on boxes of this type with a pierced pine in its center.
The double airflow system is original because one goes under the deck for a tight suction, but the cap when unscrewing opens two additional side air-holes for a more aerial pull. Taking into account the assemblies that can be made, this atomizer dissipates heat perfectly.
The gold plated pine is not adjustable, however it is well insulated and stands out of the connection.

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip
A huge drip tip is conventional in its straight form with a proprietary connection. Although its diameter seems oversized compared to the body of the atomizer. However, it fits very well and does not have a very large internal opening (8mm) while its external diameter shows us double (16mm). A big thickness therefore for this drip-tip in Delrin rather comfortable in the mouth.
In the packaging, an adapter is provided to allow us to place a 510 drip-tip of our choice.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging is very curious in a plastic bottle reminiscent of bottles of pharmaceutical tablets.
It is compact and protects very well the atomizer which is wedged and screwed into one of the caps which at the same time serves as a base. A very good idea and a nice touch. Under the other cap, when you lift it, there are 3 spare screws which are supplied and already screwed into the edge of the bottle. On the other hand I did not find any additional joints and especially no Allen key is provided whereas this accessory is essential to make the assembly of the dripper, like a drip-tip and taking into account the price of the product, this would not have been superfluous.
At the same time, the set of 2 gaskets, three screws and an Allen key are sold separately at a price of 5.90 euros.
When a user manual, nothing is available for this product, it is a pity and does not comply with commercial regulations for a product in contact with an electrical source.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
Its small size allows to mount the atomizer on any type of mod, it will be very easy to put it in a pocket, without risk of ending up with residual liquid stains.
It forces to make double assemblies resistances, with a resistive of maximum diameter of 0,6mm knowing that the resistive wires are not always very straight and pass with difficulty, because the holes to place your resistance legs are of a limited diameter, the positive is only 2mm. When installing the resistors, when tightening one of the legs it is broken, so be careful not to over tighten.
The tank is a plus for a dripper, which allows us to have a small reserve, although it is not huge, with a maximum power of 40W on an assembly of 0.4 Ω this should be enough, because it is not a big consumer.
The airflows on either side of the tank can not be set to open only one side, both open at the same time. They can also be adjusted precisely. They are effective and dissipate the heat produced, however, there are limits with very low ULR settings.
The valve is an essential element for providing a concentrated flavored vapor and giving a felted and rounded steam appearance. This is also a good system to remove leaks on dripper but also the splash of liquid during suction. However, if it turns out that the mount is too low, high power, or that the steam is too cavernous, it is possible to remove the valve without difficulty to obtain a more conventional result, more airy and slightly less concentrated aromas, counterpart. Because in practice, this valve reduces suction because of its opening at the drip-tip. Without the valve, this opening is much wider and the difference is very good. So this valve also reduces the possibilities of the airflow, depending on your suction.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
The diameter in 22mm and the distinguished look of this Mirage V4 Evo, allows it to adapt to all mods or boxes on the market. A product of great quality that is primarily intended for the flavors. A successful bet which, however, limits double coil assemblies by the diameter of the air-wires although in theory we should be able to work with a resistive of 8 / 10th, the design of the deck does not reasonably allow it.
Innovation remains mainly this valve that avoids Splashing on the suction and condensing the steam for a concentrate of flavor, coupled with the possibility of closing the cap completely and thus avoid leaks during transport. Despite this, the plate with three studs is a little outdated with a double coil assembly that requires maintaining both resistances at the same time to fix the legs.
If cloud chasing is a little complicated, The Mirage still allows fairly low assemblies with a resistive of 0.6 mm and removing the valve, to offer a more airy vape and produce a dense and consistent vapor.
