Reviewer comments on business characteristics

Riding on the commercial and technical success of the Limitless RDTA Plus, Ijoy offers us a Sub-ohm Tank, very different however since it is a clearomizer and it escapes the aesthetic spirit of the brand. The target of this clearomizer is clearly the vapoteur who loves abundant clouds and the airy prints that go together.

For this, the Limitless offers interesting proprietary coils in that they identically reproduce a rebuildable double-coil plate, equipped with two coils that appear to be in kanthal and powered by organic cotton. These resistances are screwed on the bottom-cap and are bought in groups of three for about fifteen euros. It is not cheap but each time you have a new board.

Sold at less than 30 € (generally observed price), the Limitless is therefore part of a line of powerful clearos and large steam generators. With an imposing diameter of 25mm, it is almost as high as it is wide and will contain 2ml of juice. We are therefore more on a clearo-dripper with a reservoir than on a clearomizer with high autonomy.

The concept is interesting, not necessarily innovative since we can already find this type of resistance-plate on other atomizers (Subdrip dripper for example) and promises a nice tasty restitution and cloudy weather.

Now, let's see if the promise is kept.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

The Limitless has a pretty plump face due to its diameter / height adequacy almost equal to 3mm, thus more like a window dripper than a real “traditional” clearomizer. Here begin and end the desire for originality because, for the rest, we are faced with a nice physique but not really innovative.

The metal parts are in stainless steel, the tank is in Pyrex and does not benefit from any particular protection in the event of a fall. A spare pyrex is delivered in the box in case but I can only recommend you to use a silicone ring if you carry it around on the go. The drip-tip part is in delrin and includes, in addition to the mouthpiece, a plate which is screwed onto the top-cap. It is this part that you will remove to proceed to the rapid filling of the atomizer, the capacity being limited to 2ml. A steel 510 adapter is also provided to allow you to use the drip-tip of your choice. The diameter at the output of the bell is 8.2mm, which seems quite comfortable given the cloudy lens of the clearomiser.

The top-cap includes the top of the bell that is screwed on the resistance and therefore operate the junction so that the system is complete and ready for operation.

Inside the tank, we can therefore see the famous resistance, very similar to a normal evaporation chamber, which occupies a majority of the space. Four steel columns provide an aesthetic complement, two of them including engravings stipulating the brand and the name of the product.

The bottom-cap is quite traditional and has the necessary air intakes without any adjustment being possible. Here, it's aerial, period. An X-shaped cross at the base allows a good grip of the object for disassembly.

The positive pin, gold-plated, non-adjustable, protrudes considerably from the negative part of the connector. The association with a mod whose pin is on spring is therefore almost mandatory. Even in this case, the Limitless appears difficult to screw on certain mods (ex: Reuleaux) and you have to force a little so that the screw thread engages. Even if we manage to do it anyway, I find this choice quite strange, which I liken to a small design error.

The assembly, machining and finish of the whole are very correct for the price and, if we except the lack of protection of the pyrex, give the impression of being able to count on it over time.

The resistors are two in number, one in 0.3Ω given for operation between 40 and 80W and the other in 0.6Ω, calibrated for 20 / 40W. They therefore appear as real trays comprising two coils with spaced spiers mounted in cotton, which closes four liquid intake holes of 3mm in diameter each, which seems well sized to achieve the powers mentioned without dry-hit. All seemingly mounted on a ceramic cradle.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

Obviously, since the airflow is not adjustable, it is difficult to intervene on the resistors except perhaps, by being good at contortions, to change the cotton, the functionalities are therefore little developed on the Limitless .

However, there is one that catches the eye from the first puff. Indeed, the resistors are equipped with a red LED which lights up as soon as you press the switch and whose intensity varies according to the power. So that's what the famous integrated chip is for… It's great, we have light, all that's missing is sound. When will there be an electro beat that escapes from the atomizer every time we vape? A totally useless gadget, therefore, except perhaps to impress the gallery with a vaporizer for two minutes. And above all a production cost which the manufacturer could easily have done without and passed on downwards to the price of the resistors.

Apart from that, we screw the resistance, we prime it with liquid, we close the top-cap, we fill and we vape! Nothing's easier. This is not frustrating, however, the atomizer doing the minimum union desired but doing it well.

Drip-Tip Features

  • Type of drip-tip attachment: Owner but passage to 510 through a supplied adapter
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of drip-tip present: Short
  • Quality of the present drip-tip: Good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

The drip-tip is therefore in delrin and rests on a unscrewable plate that is removed for filling. The quality of the whole is good, the mouthpiece is pleasant in the mouth, quite short and its internal diameter corresponding to the diameter of the bell avoids any inconvenience in the development of the vapor.

For the others, there is a beautiful steel plate, equipped with a 510 slot in order to use the drip-tip of your choice, which screws directly onto the top-cap. In this case, it is this that will be unscrewed for filling.

Vapelier's note on packaging: 1.5 / 5 1.5 5 out of stars

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

The box is typical of the brand. Green and decorated with white friezes, a cardboard tunnel, with the names and a screed on the atomizer, envelops a plastic box which contains: the atomizer itself, a spare pyrex, two resistors (one in 0.3Ω and one in 0.6Ω) as well as the 510 adapter.

We learn, by reading the back of the box, that there is an upgrade allowing the capacity of the atomizer to be changed to 6ml, optional colored pyrexes and optional colored titanium screws (why do this since I can not see anything on the ato requiring screws?). Lots of options for customization so you have to find and then acquire separately. I find it a bit of a shame especially as the box provided ignores the supply of spare gaskets which would have seemed more interesting to me than colored titanium screws whose function escapes me completely and which, anyway, are not provided ...

No instructions either, no more in French than in English or Chinese… Ijoy thus avoided Googlesque translation problems but also avoids us learning too much about his atomizer. To date, such an absence is not excusable, the media being, as we know, very inclined to scrutinize the slightest failure of our systems to discredit us. Warnings of the type: "not to be used by those who still put their batteries in their pockets with their keys" or "avoid using if you confuse a mod and a lighter" or "avoid putting in the lighter. cigar from your car ”would probably have been necessary… 😉

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

If we except the total wizzzzzz visual delirium of the led that lights up and optional choices cans, we are faced with an atomizer whose rendering is quite remarkable.

Indeed, there is no deception on the goods. The device generates a devilish vapor and the resistors perfectly hold the load in power. At 80W on the 0.3Ω resistor, the rendering is very dense, the vapor abundant and the flavors are well restored. No dry-hits or leaks, the ato is very healthy on this point. The caloric evacuation works well, the ato does not heat up excessively and above all, the vapor remains at a normal temperature, even when chain-vaping.

On the resistance 0.6Ω, we are left with a vape very provided, probably a little more measured, but still very generous.

I note an almost immediate heating, no diesel effect here, conducive to a vape not upset. The fixed airflow does not pose any problem, it is well sized and allows the expected production of steam and correct cooling.

The Limitless accepts any type of liquid, even the most loaded with VG and reproduces quite well the vape of a reconstructable mounted in sub-ohm. We are not on the rendering quality of a good dripper but it is still very acceptable as a displacement material with a small reserve and not requiring complex manual intervention to make assemblies.

The promise is therefore largely kept in terms of rendering and ease of use.

We notice, as we could imagine, that the consumption is to match and it will be difficult to hold more than a quarter of an hour with the full tank. But that's the rule of the game for this type of ato, aficionados know that. Maybe the 6ml upgrade will improve things on this point?

The mood ticket of the reviewer

Here is therefore a good sub-ohm clearomizer which does not usurp its name. Small, practical, with a very convincing rendering, easy to fill and use on a daily basis, it avoids all the traps of this type of atomizer by behaving like a good little soldier of the vape.

The access price is not very high in absolute terms, but the packaging is a little forgivable at this level on the supply of spare seals and the price of the resistors could deter some vapers.

The last defect is, of course, the vulgarity of this useless LED that will make you look what you are not. Too bad because for the rest, the Limitless Sub-Ohm Tank defends itself very well in its category.
