The Isub Apex by Innokin is a clearomizer that looks like a reconstructable atomizer. It comes with two proprietary 0.5 Ω resistors and two different drip-tips, one in pyrex and the other in delrin stainless steel finish, but each has the particularity of having an opening for air on its base.
A small capacity of 3ml for such a template is regrettable but the protection of the pyrex tank is provided in case of a fall.
I thought I had seen everything in terms of simplicity on the use of clearomizers this type, but obviously Innokin did better. With resistors that provide the 510 connection, you have a new connection to each change. The airflow is adjustable and filling from above is very simple and for a very affordable price.

This clearomizer is made of stainless steel and cannot be dismantled, except for the base to allow the resistance to be inserted.
Well designed, the tank part is partially protected by stainless steel, thus avoiding the risk of breakage of the tank.
Difficult to say more because this clearomiser is in one part and does not allow access to his bowels. However, everything is well assembled and the rotating rings above the tank are perfectly functional, they are handled with pleasure without forcing and are maintained correctly.
Even though the pin on the connection is fixed, it is an integral part of the proprietary resistor and therefore changes regularly. Therefore, you will not have any concern of wear at this level.

This clearomizer is delivered with 0.5Ω resistors which fit just under the tank, so it will be useless to empty the tank to change the resistance.
The airflow is adjustable and allows good suction. Associated with the drip-tip equipped with an adjustable opening, the vapor is even more aerial.
However, the value of the coils in 0.5Ω and the capacity of the clearomizer restrict the vape over a power range between 23 and 32W with a liquid in 20/80. But that remains honorable for a beautiful vapor.
The flavors, they are wonderfully restored and I was surprised to see a steam barely lukewarm. A significant capacity to favor the flavor in sub-ohm.

This product comes with two drip-tips. One is Pyrex on a stainless steel base, the other is in delrin with a stainless steel coating. The quality seems good.
Without connection, the pyrex one measures 13mm and the delrin 10mm one, short sizes that go well with the aesthetics of the atomizer. But what these drip-tips have in common is to have an opening on each side of their base that is added to the openings on the top-cap at the level of the drip-tip connection of the atomizer. Thus, this increases the aeration of the steam and allows for a warmer (almost cold) steam.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging is very correct in a thin cardboard box on which is stuck a label for the authenticity of the product. You then find, well wedged in a foam, the clearomiser already equipped with a resistance, with an additional resistance, a second pyrex drip-tip and several spare seals for the base and the drip-tips.
Also, Innokin delivers this atomizer with an explanatory card that guides you for use. This one is only in English but largely understandable by a non English speaking thanks to the very representative drawings.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
This clearomizer is delivered with 0.5Ω resistors which fit just under the tank and are held by the ring which serves as a base to block the assembly simply by screwing. So, it is useless to empty your tank for this manipulation.
Just above the tank, another rotating ring adjusts the airflow, made of two cyclops openings 12mm long and 3mm wide and still above, the top cap also swivels to open (and close) the two openings located on the top to fill the tank. Childish manipulations.
The capacity of the tank is 3ml and do not expect to add more because we are “right”. For a template of this type, I regret that the capacity is so modest.
During the vape, I tested with a rather thick liquid in 20/80, the useful vape power range. Between 23 and 3W we are fine, the vapor is very dense, the airflow is wide open and the opening of the drip-tip too. The flavors are also there. I would not like to go too far but it seems to me that we have a double coil with a kanthal in 0.3mm in these resistors which does not allow to go too high despite the value of 0.5Ω for the resistance, otherwise you go feel the liquid saturation of the wick before a small dry hit.
It's a pleasure to vape on Isub. But I also tested the vape when the opening of the drip-tip is closed. The difference is great, I would not have believed, certainly the steam is a little less aerial but the density is thicker with flavors even more concentrated.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
An Isub Apex is an impressive simplicity that works wonderfully well to allow dense steam and quality flavors.
It is a product that works with 0.5Ω resistors for powers between 23 and 32W (with a viscous liquid). So, I enjoyed being able to use it on a mechanical mod to enjoy a more "boilerplate" set-up and that without any annoying glitches or gouging.
The 510 connection is provided by the base of the proprietary resistor, thus preventing premature wear of the thread and pin
The biggest flaw that I could note on this clearomizer is its capacity of 3ml which remains modest compared to its size. On the other hand, the opening on the drip-tip is a little extra that works very well and which according to your needs allows you to modulate the vapor and the flavors to your liking.
