Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

When you look at the Invoke, you can't really say it's love at first sight. Its lines are rather basic and a bit banal. The box adopts a parallelepiped shape but with semi-cylindrical sides. On the front, a large, very clear screen and the eternal +/- bar are featured. On one of the edges, in the high position, there is an elongated switch which follows the roundness of the side of the box.

The 510 connection with the positive spring-loaded pin is placed in the central position on the top-cap. This makes it possible to combine atomizers up to 27mm in diameter without any risk of overflow.

Under the box, the bottom-cap slides and tilts to reveal the battery housing.

There is still a little “fantasy”, of an average taste in my humble opinion, the top and the bottom-cap are circled with small notches.

Where Eleaf scores points is on the dimensions and weight of this double 18650: 77mm high, 44mm wide and 27mm thick, for a small 160gr. I have rarely seen so compact for a box of this type.

In terms of build quality, it's clean, the materials aren't extraordinary and we can't say that our box inspires durability, but we get a lot of bang for the buck.
A pure product Eleaf, basic, goes everywhere, without great originality, with a very good quality / price ratio.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

The Invoke is a double 18650 box capable of reaching 220W. It has a very readable 1,3 inch screen, which presents information in a very clear way.

The box has four modes: variable power, TC, TCR, and power bank.

The variable power mode operates with resistors whose value must be between 0.1 and 3.5Ω. The TC and TCR modes will work with resistors whose value is between 0,05 and 1.5Ω.

The power bank mode can only be used with the purchase of an additional accessory that screws onto the 510 port.

You will also have the preheat setting on which you can affect the power and duration that must be between 0.1 and 2 seconds.

You can also set the maximum duration of your puff. To do this, you are offered 5, 10 or 15 seconds.

Of course, the box is equipped with essential security systems: battery polarity reversal, short circuit from the atomizer ... In short, you are safe as long as you follow the recommendations in terms of battery choice, namely 18650s supporting at least an intensity of 25A in discharge.

The Invoke has it all, all it lacks is the bypass mode, but maybe future updates will fix this little oversight.

  • Would you say that the packaging is up to the price of the product? Yes
  • Presence of a user manual? Yes

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

An Eleaf pack quite in the tone of what the brand is used to offering us: a very simple box, which presents a photo of the box on a background composed of an assembly of bands of colors forming a very gradient. clear water green.

Inside, we find the box, a USB cable and a user manual translated into several languages including French.

It's simple, it's a bit bland but frankly, for the price, you couldn't ask for more.

Appreciations in use

  • Transport facilities with the test atomizer: Ok for an external jacket pocket (no deformations)
  • Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy, even standing on the street, with a simple Kleenex
  • Easy to change the batteries: Easy, even standing in the street
  • Did the mod heat up? No
  • Has there been any erratic behavior after a day of use? No

Vapelier's rating in terms of ease of use: 4.5/5 4.5 5 out of stars

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

The Invoke is a very compact box for a double 18650, it is really made to follow you in your daily life. In addition to its contained size and good ergonomics, battery management is quite good. At 80W on a 0.2Ω resistor, I hold out all day.

The control of the box is easy, menus are explicit and I think that, for once, Eleaf has done a great job to concoct us a simple and rather intuitive interface. 3 clicks the fire button and you enter the menu, after you drag the highlight with the bar +/- and validate its choices with the switch.

The box is equipped with a rapid recharging system which supports a charging current of 2A, but in any case prefer recharging your batteries with an external charger, which is more able to keep your batteries longer. life.

As for the vape itself, there is not much to say. The box gives you what you ask of it as long as it respects the intensity limits of the chipset. The vape is rather well regulated and the box quite responsive.

This box is more than correct, it is relatively easy to use, it provides good performance and in addition it is compact. In short, he's a good horse and you can bet on it!

The mood ticket of the reviewer

Eleaf remains faithful to its credo: to offer us inexpensive and efficient equipment. This is typically the type of product that will appeal to people who want to vape performance without breaking the bank.

The Invoke brings nothing new at this point of the range. Indeed, this double 18650 box incorporates the main characteristics of current electronic boxes: variable power, TC….

Basic in appearance and frankly rather bland, the Invoke will clearly not seduce you with its lines. On the other hand, his measurements are very convincing. It is arguably one of the smallest electronic boxes with a screen and using two 18650s available on the market. This box is also very versatile, so it can very logically be suitable for the greatest number.

We will also welcome the new screen interface, it is undoubtedly the most explicit that I have ever encountered at Eleaf.

The Invoke is the everyday box par excellence: compact, versatile and not precious for a penny. It will not be a compulsive purchase guided by a visual love at first sight but a reasoned choice for those looking for an ideal companion for everyday life.

Good vape
