Focusecig is a Chinese manufacturer. Some of its atomizers have received a warm welcome among the vapers, such as the Hobbit, or the huge FE 30 quad coil, a RDA contest 30mm. In terms of RDTA (Rebuildable Dry Tank Atomizer), the Skyfall was not unanimous, it must be said that attacking the very principle of dripper and its ease of use is not a convenient case.
The Higo is the latest creation from Focusecig, which undertakes with this model to purify the aesthetic and improve the concept of tank dripper. At the time of publishing this review, the manufacturer has already modified the diameters of 2 important features: access to the filling (2,5mm instead of 2) and the 6 juice inlets from the base of the tank (1,8, 1,5mm instead of 510 on the model presented). The insulation of the positive pin at the XNUMX connection is now in Peek, while the silicone is used for the test ato.
The price of the Higo is rather modest considering the complexity and the number of elements used, the presence of a tank and spare parts, 2 pre-formed coils and a bag of Japanese cotton. Let's go for the owner's turn.

The object is heavy (near 80 g with the coils and count 90 when filled), and of good quality, the body and the metallic parts are in SS 316 (stainless) and the Pyrex tank of 20mm long makes 2 mm thick.
12 parts make up the ato, not to mention the mounting studs and the pre-assembled positive pin. 12 is also the total number of O-rings, add the positive pin insulator and the count is there.
The base consists of the tray, an e-liquid flow control ring (JFC), and two airflow tuners feeding the coils from below. They are nested and held by an O-ring.
The tank / top-cap / drip-tip part is independent of the base. The filling is done by the top-cap, it is composed of three separate pieces (without its drip-tip). A lateral airflow adjustment ring allows the second feeding of coils in air.
The brushed finish is neat, the dimensions are: (with its drip-tip without taking into account the 510 connection): 62.5 mm (length) x 22 mm (diameter) for 6ml of capacity. For discretion, it's not won.

Let's start the description of the features with the upper part: drip-tip / top-cap / tank / base. The drip-tip will be detailed below. The top-cap allows the filling of the ato from above, it is composed of 3 parts: a top for closing / opening the access to the filling, a junction disc to the tank and a screw thread ring to hold the ring high. To allow assembly / tightening of the tank part to the base, via a junction chimney, the underside of the top-cap is provided with a screw thread.
The base is pierced with six feed holes juice coil. It also holds three side airholes, adjustable by a ring allowing the progressive opening of two airholes for double-coil assemblies, or only one for a simple coil. This part of the ato will be screwed on the board.
The top and its base are broken down into two integral parts. The deck, with two pylons and two mounting holes, with its juice flow adjustment and the 510 base which has an airflow adjustment from below. Two indented knobs on the inside allow, by rotation, to supply the coil with air through two 3mm diameter vents, you can handle the knobs separately and completely close these inlets (it is recommended for filling). The positive pin is adjustable (no screw). The atomization chamber is small, be careful not to exceed the internal diameter of the O-ring joining the base of the tank, during your assemblies, or the short-circuit will be fatal to the coils.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
In a transparent plastic box you will find on two levels a semi rigid foam which contains your atomizer, a replacement tank and a bag of gaskets and other spare parts. Under this foam is a Japanese cotton pouch and an Allen key.
The manual is rather a descriptive embellished diagrams, without true explanations, you can nevertheless find all the illustrations to familiarize you with the Higo, it is minimal but it exists, it is already that.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
Before using your Higo, you will need to perform an assembly, double or single coil, an operation which will require the application because the space is not gigantic. Leave a good 2 mm above the air inlets. The distribution of the cotton will leave the air intake vents free, the compaction and the quantity will be discovered and adjusted to use according to the viscosity of the base and your resistance value.
To exert a setting once the coil mounted on the arrival of juice, it is before reassembling the ato that it happens, so there will be some trial and error to find the right compromise and finally vaper his tank at one time. The tank part is independent of the board, which allows you, the tank full, to make your settings of flow of juice or to work on the coils. The filling can be a little galère with the pipette, the holes are not well studied for this mode of payment, it is better a very fine end or a vial with tip needle.
The airflow is efficient, it allows all the intermediate vapes between very tight and very airy. These settings are operable during vaping. Of course, I did not have the leisure to practice several assemblies with several flow settings according to the juices, so I will tell you about my feelings with a DC at 0,3 ohm and juice at 50/50.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Here we are at the end of this chronicle, the atomizer in question will not leave me an unforgettable memory. Amateur dripper, I did not feel, with the Higo, that it can compete in any point of view. Only its available juice capacity makes a real difference, but it stops there for comparison.
In terms of simplicity of use, you will understand that it can not compete with a dripper, certainly its airflows settings are efficient, certainly you can modulate the flow of juice, but it is what already do some RTAs that do not do not compete, in terms of taste quality, with the ancestor of the atomizers.
I will add to conclude, that it is a correct RTA for the asking price, although a mini Goblin, if it is not its capacity of lesser capacity, offers the same advantages (with the flow of juice near) with in addition much better restitution of flavors. To consider a long ride without having to recharge your ato all the time, it is undeniable that this atomizer is ideal, let it be said, the beautiful days are approaching.
