Today I invite you to a particularly perilous experience, carried out without nets and I do my stunts myself!
Indeed, I will have to tell you as objectively as possible about the electro box that I prefer, the one that accompanies me every day in my daily vape. The one, undoubtedly, which I would miss the most if it were to be stolen from me by a lawless outlaw: the HexOhm V2.1, and more particularly here the HexAngels version.
We are therefore dealing with a box that uses the famous OKL2-T / 20-W12 chipset, only the voltage of which is adjustable and again, empirically since no screen will come to help you visually in your settings.
Some will see it as a glaring flaw. Me, I see only good since we will be able to return to the fundamentals of the vape: the taste and the vapor! And all that will be regulated according to your feeling. If it's too strong, you go down. If it's not strong enough, you go up. Period. No need for a screen or manual for that, your palate being the best and only judge in terms of vape in the end.
The price is serious. 189 € for a box, we are at the top of the basket. We can complain, and me first, against these prices that nothing seems to justify. I have never been a fervent defender of the principle of the high-end, those who know me know it but here, I admit that I find the price fitting as the level of quality of vape is high. For this price however, Craving Vapor guarantees your box… for life.
We can therefore vape between 3.7V and 6V maximum and on resistors from 0.3Ω to make the most of the capabilities of the machine without taking any risk. The potential competitors are called Surric X or Vikings Vap and a cross match between the three would please me quite well. But for now, let's savor the pleasure of vaping on a box that happily mixes yesterday and tomorrow for a vape of today.

First impact: the visual shock!
In its shiny white livery, the aluminum box casts it. Admittedly, there are no aesthetic frills, a simple homemade case replaces the Hammond case of the previous version while retaining this “home-made” aspect which gives a nice artisan side.
The anodizing is applied in a fantastic way and you can feel that you have a reliable and durable coating at your fingertips. Having had mine for about three months, I can tell you that it doesn't budge one iota. She fell from my height (1.85m at the withers), not even a poc!
Laser-engraved, we find the usual logo of the range in a light gray very becoming and enjoying, unlike the box, a grainy finish nice to the touch. On the other side, it's a great design very “Hell's Angel's” in mind, with an angel wing around the brand's ohmic logo. Magnificent and still perfectly highlighted by the immaculate whiteness of the box.
On the side opposite to that of the adjustment potentiometer, we find the logo with the serial number and version. Only the entire version is present, ie V2, but it is indeed a V2.1 that it is.
The switch is in itself a curiosity. Made of plastic, it is nevertheless solid, responsive and those who have put their finger on it one day are still wondering why not all boxes are equipped with it. It's simple, this button is a dream to use. It marks a very precise click, it falls naturally under the index finger like the trigger of a revolver, it is perfect.
The voltage is adjusted using a plastic potentiometer that can be manipulated with the fingernail. Well, I won't hide it from you, it's a bit of a hassle and a more convenient knob would have been welcome. Either a little projecting from the front, or containing a more pronounced marking so as not to struggle to turn it with your fingernail. However, it remains rather hard, which is a good thing and will avoid the disappointments of untimely adjustments.
Inside, it's clear, clean, removable at will. The location of the battery terminals is indicated by large “+” and “-” and the batteries themselves will benefit from a strip of fabric allowing them to be removed from their housing. Everything is well secured and the finish, whether interior or exterior does not suffer from any reproach.

The user manual is easy to write, which makes it more regrettable that it is absent:
- Put 18650 batteries of more than 20A in their housing following the markings of the positive and negative terminals
- Set the potentiometer.
- Press the switch and vaper.
Apart from that, the only functionality that the chipset offers us is protection against reverse polarity of batteries and bar point. For the rest, just stick to 0.3Ω minimum for the resistance and let your palate do it to refine the setting.
We would have liked the possibility of locking the bazaar to transport it more serenely but, given the monastic state of mind of the machine, we should not ask too much. Here, we are not at Yamaha but at Harley. It's tough rustic, not a gas plant! Everything is done with the crank and there are not even keys!
No temperature control, touch screen, recharging possibility, hands-free function or satellite tracking. Here, it is the minimum vital, it is made for vaping. For video games, go to FNAC…

Your box will be delivered to you in a very attractive bubble wrap packaging. You will therefore have plenty of time to have fun piercing said bubbles, it's funny, while wondering if, for the asking price, we are not giving a little, so little, to your face.

Even if the possible power of this mod, around 100W, its batteries in series, and its functioning in variable tension destines it all the same to the users informed and passionate, it could be usable even by a beginner as the shortage of functionalities, sum all useless, makes its operation intuitive and easy.
Let's come now, if you don't mind, to the result in terms of vape. Because, beyond any consideration on the finish, the functions and the packaging, this is all the same why we invest a crazy amount in a white box, by being consoled by the fact that it is always less expensive than the oak or fir box that we will inevitably have to buy one day ...
The rendering is magnificent, I don't see any other words. The vape is at the same time precise, creamy, generous. Perfect. And I weigh my words because, so far, I have never had or tested a mod that reaches her ankle. We are on the rendering of a perfectly tuned and well conductive mecha whose outgoing voltage we could adjust and whose power curve would not drop after a while. And this is where the perfection of the Hexohm resides, whatever its finish, it is in this inimitable rendering which largely reconciles the electro world and the mechanical world.
This mod is unlike any other (I haven't tested the Surric X) and is superior to all in terms of signal quality. I did a personal comparative test between all my boxes, some of which are renowned for their quality of vape, but nothing helps, the champion in all categories is called Hexohm.

We now know that all mods are not equal, far from it, in terms of rendering.
It depends on the smoothing of the electrical signal, on strategic choices to favor a soft or more brutal vape, on the possible possibilities of influencing the signal, on the intrinsic quality of the chipset and therefore on a large number of parameters each of which is able to influence. on the final quality of the cloud that you take in the mouth.
So many possibilities mean that every mod, whether tubular or box-shaped, is unique. And of course, some will suit you very well without being suitable for others and vice versa.
But some products make everyone agree. Whether you are a cushy vape, fiery cloud hunter, or juice huller, whether you prefer drippers, RTAs or old genesis, you can only be amazed by the rendering of the Hexohm which relegates to places honor all the top names in the category, all prices combined.
The secret lies in this simple fact: Vape with a Hexohm is equivalent to vaping in mech, batteries bursting at the seams without the signal ever decreasing and that the voltage can be adjusted. Point. The rest is just literature.
With a more practical potentiometer, a possibility of lock and a worthy packaging, we would have here the best mod of the world. Quite simply.
