Impressive! The finish is worthy of the upper range. Neat and non-squeaky threads, impeccable adjustments and no lack of taste in the choice of materials, the whole exudes strength and reliability. The atomizer is delivered with a PMMA tank and a metal tank to be able to face all possible liquids including corrosive pus. Some users may regret the abandonment of pyrex because of the non-visibility of the liquid when using the metal tank but personally, I prefer this solution as much rather than having to buy 5 additional pyrex tanks to insure in case of breakage. And those who have used the HC V1 will understand me half-heartedly ...

One downside: the airflow ring is very loose and can easily turn on itself in case of manipulation of the ato or even storage in a bag or other. Another system, using a ball or an O-ring could have been able to perfect an assembly which, if we except this small defect, borders on perfection in this price range.

It is important here to note the major changes brought by this atomizer.
Departing quite radically from the principle of Kayfun Lite, the manufacturer here uses a bell which sinks around the plate, a bit like the Taifun GT and which has two notches that just need to coincide with the channels of the plate . Easy to understand and to handle, this principle also makes it possible to adjust the arrival of liquid to adapt to different viscosities by slightly shifting the notches relative to the channels, which necessarily modifies the supply of liquid on the cotton.
The air regulation ring does its job very correctly and we oscillate between a slightly tight vape by positioning the ring on a half-hole (each orifice is about 2mm in diameter) until well air by positioning the ring on the total opening of the two holes. Renderings change efficiently and the system allows you to efficiently adjust the air supply to your preferences. Too bad the ring is not less flexible to handle ...
The connection is made of copper and is adjustable, which is a significant improvement and allows you to be flush on any 23mm mod because, yes, the atomizer is 23mm (22.8mm measured with the caliper to be completely fact correct).

This is of course very subjective, but I found the quality of the drip-tip provided to be very correct. The grip in the mouth is nice thanks to two flats on the opposite sides of the cylinder and the internal diameter seems to favor the airy aspect of the atomizer, even if we are not on a hyper-wide opening like some drip-tips of drippers.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

The packaging is very clean, a rigid cardboard box with the initials of the product including the atomizer itself as well as an additional box containing a PMMA tank, a bag of parts with spare O-rings, screws, two microcoils and a screwdriver. There is also a sachet containing cotton and silica fiber. What to regret all the more the crying lack of a user manual and it is a pity because there is a lot of things to know for a good first use of the atomizer:
The atomizer is filled from the top, by unscrewing the upper cap (very easy and fast). This gives access to an orifice with an O-ring and hidden by… a very simple but practical steel plug. No more screwdrivers to refuel. It's silly but you had to think about it!
When filling, I advise you to close the ring managing the air flow. Then, once filling is complete, the cap replaced in its location and the cap screwed on, reposition the ring to your preferred setting. CAUTION: do not turn the atomizer upside down, the drip tip will flood!

Appreciations in use

Leaks observed only occur during filling. Even using the method of locking the airholes by the ring, we see that the liquid bead a little in the air intake holes. Nothing very alarming however because it does not last and afterwards, the atomizer behaves perfectly throughout its use. But that makes me say that the addition of an O-ring at the level of the ring would undoubtedly have allowed, in addition to making the ring less likely to move on its own, better impermeability during filling so as to avoid any call of air to the vents.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

I didn't expect so much. I thought I would find in the HC Plus a third version of the HC, but not at all. Already the look is different, much less bling-bling. Then, the finish made a huge leap forward and the quality of the assemblies and screws is up to the standards of the genre. HCigar responded with a remarkable job to all the criticisms that had been made on the previous versions. No more filling from the bottom which required unscrewing the ato AND unscrewing a screw to feed it with liquid. No more air regulation in the same place which imposed the same constraints. The positive connector becomes copper and remains adjustable. The use of a PMMA tank, more resistant than pyrex for non-corrosive juices and the metal tank supplied for more difficult liquids, offers a good solution in terms of the strength of the crew.

But it would remain very theoretical if we did not talk about its rendering, impeccable, very voluptuous and without ignoring the flavors. Each liquid, including the harshest like the Boba's Bounty that I used to verify that the atomizer accepted 100% VG even at high powers, is perfectly restored and the vapor is quite white and dense as can be. like. The draw, ranging from medium tight to reasonably airy, is convincing and will allow a majority of users to navigate. The vape is good, really good and has nothing to envy to devices from the higher ranges.

It will remain for HCigar to correct the airflow ring a little bit and thus prevent leaks during filling to achieve a form of perfection never before seen in this price range. 38,90 €, I remind you ... because it strangely goes out of mind when you vape with the HC Plus as the quality of rendering and the quality of finish tend to make us forget it. Without doubt the first must-have of the year 2015!
