Comments on the packaging

The Hazel Grove is a recipe of the gourmet range (Sweet) of the very rich Flavor Art catalog.
Straight from Italy, the potions are distributed in France by the company Absotech located in the Landes.

The different ranges are packaged in 10 ml bottles of transparent plastic and equipped with a fine tip at the end. The PG / VG ratio is set at 50 / 40, the remaining 10% being spent on nicotine, flavors and distilled water.

Nicotine levels are a bit disruptive to our habits since 4,5 and 9 mg / ml are offered, without omitting the nicotine-free reference or the highest one at 18 mg / ml.
These dosages are identifiable by plugs of different colors:
Green for 0 mg / ml
Light blue for 4,5 mg / ml
Blue for 9 mg / ml
Red for 18 mg / ml

The price is 5,50 € the 10 ml, to appear in the category of entry-level.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

I do not judge the ongoing compliance since the start of 2017, knowing that I received my copies before the implementation of the health directive.
Overall, the labeling responds to the trend and does not miss a notable dead end. For my part, I deplore the sum of informative texts and attention which is loaded and ultimately not very readable. Certain dead ends made on the pictograms would have made it possible to gain clarity.
Regarding the original opening / closing system, I do not consider it efficient enough but I know that even with my friends at Vapelier the subject is debated.

The transalpine productions meet the ISO 8317 standard and from a safety and health point of view we must underline the efforts of the brand, which offers us juices without alcohol and other prohibited substances. A DLUO, a batch number as well as the coordinates of the place of manufacture and those of distribution are part of the endowment.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in line with the price category: Could do better for the price

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 4.17 / 5 4.2 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

Legislation and the size of packaging are constraints that some manufacturers are more successful in eliminating.
The result of the Flavor Art packaging won't win the prize for attractiveness, but the job is done.
Since all incentives to consume are absent, that should satisfy the legislator.

Comments on the taste of the juice

From the opening, on the nose, I have a nutty smell in a spreadable style which is not to displease me. The dosage of aromas seems to me rather superior to house habits and this taste test promises to be auspicious.

This optimism is unfortunately short-lived. The vape of this Hazel Grove plunges me again into the circumspection.
My questions are multiple. But why the devil did the flavorists create this blend? Where does this mint aroma come from? The hazelnut seems rather nice to me and its rest in the mouth is not unpleasant at all.
Mint ? It's simple, impossible to guess. On the olfactory level I had a doubt when squeezing my bottle so that the flavors come out. Without this action I only had the spread. Matos carried to the lips, ditto. An indescribable flavor that more temperature will only amplify in intensity.
I, who would hope to feast on this Nut ... which is said to be full of palm oil ... well I am left hungry ...

This mixture is weird. Moreover, I cannot accurately transcribe the effect obtained. It is neither fresh nor minty. The assembly of the two flavors is in any case very strange and offers a feeling that is just as much ...

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 35 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Normal (type T2)
  • Type of hit obtained at this power: Light
  • Atomizer used for the review: Dripper Zénith & Subtank mini
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.6
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kanthal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

It will be according to your tastes. For my part, I preferred not to overheat; obtaining a lukewarm / cold vapor allows you to feel the nutty first. More watts will boost the mint and provide a mixture that I find unpleasant.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended times of day: Overnight for insomniacs
  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: No

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 3.7 / 5 3.7 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

Still disappointed.
And yet… Of a rather optimistic nature, I thought, when I opened the bottle, that after some “difficult” evaluations I was there, if not a Top Juice, a potion of good quality.
A nutty taste in the spread style, the evaluation was announced under the best auspices.
And then, there is the discovery of a mint association in the recipe. On the nose, by pressing on the bottle, the feeling is rather strange, and in the vape it gives sensations ... which spoiled the pleasure for me.

Always safe, always sold at a price belonging to the entry-level category, I cannot find the “catch” point with the flavorists of the transalpine brand. I do not understand the taste approach. I know the most expensive ingredient in the design stage is flavor. But Flavor Art makes aromas… so why be so stingy?

The brand is known for its concentrated aromas, which I haven't had the opportunity to test. Does she favor the latter? I do not know. But one thing is certain, at the shaped and ready-to-vape e-liquid level, production is, in my opinion, just not up to the level or standards that we are used to.

See you soon for new hazy adventures,

About the Author

Follower of the tobacco vape and rather "tight" I do not balk in front of good greedy clouders. I love flavor-oriented drippers but am very curious about the evolutions of our common passion for personal vaporizers. Good reasons to make my modest contribution here, no?
