Comments on the packaging

Like all the offspring of the “Addiction” range, Granny's Dose is presented as a simple juice in a simple dress. Apparently, the brand has since released a new packaging, probably more appropriate to the claimed quality of the liquids.

As it stands, it's probably too simple, even anachronistic. Indeed, the packaging takes us three years back, when the bottles looked more like medical nasal solutions than original bottles, more able to differentiate one juice from another. The new packaging should in any case remedy this problem.

Problem that must all the same be put in perspective with regard to the price which is really very low, more exactly modeled on the entry level whereas, until now, the juices of the addiction range have demonstrated a good taste value. above what the price let us foresee.

The information available to the consumer is existing and clear if we omit the remarkable absence of the rate of PG / VG. Pity. We can slip on an oversight of this kind on an e-liquid available at a tobacconist (heresy !!!) but not on an e-liquid from Espace Vap. Especially since the information is available on the site.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

If the packaging does not break bricks, the chapter of security is irreproachable.

All legal and safety notices are there. One could object that the triangle for the visually impaired appears on the top of the cap and not on the label, but that would be mean. A visually impaired person will not find fault with this since their sense of touch will reveal information to them as effectively. There are hardly any people who are well-sighted (and well-meaning…) to take offense at this type of detail. It's a bit like giving sprint lessons to Usain Bolt…

Another ENOOOOOOORM problem, there is water in this e-liquid. If you read me, you already know my opinion on this subject as important and controversial as the number of broadcasts of the Dance of the Ducks on Radio Nostalgie. Otherwise, I will limit myself to telling you that the addition of water in an e-liquid appeals to me about as much as the date of birth of the janitor of Charles the Bold.

Water is not dangerous to inhale, those who frequent the hammams will be able to testify as well as the millions of people who live near the sea, the ocean, a lake, a pond or a pond and which therefore breathe ad vitam aeternam an air saturated with humidity ...

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: No

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 3.33 / 5 3.3 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

If there is one qualifier that this packaging does not deserve, it is “beautiful”. Indeed, it seems difficult to be uglier than this bottle from another age of plastic surmounted by a cap whose color changes according to the rate of nicotine chosen, which would not be silly if the colors chosen were not all of nameless aesthetic brutality. Neon pink, shiny blue… so on and some of the best…

Nevertheless, I give it a great practical quality since the tip of the bottle is of rare finesse, which allows any atomizer to be filled in excellent conditions.

Sensory appreciations

  • Definition of taste: Sweet, Fruit, Patissier, Vanilla, Light
  • The taste and the name of the product, do they agree ?: Yes
  • Did I like this juice ?: No
  • This liquid reminds me: Nothing very precise.

Comments on the taste of the juice

Well, we will avoid a lot of problems by saying from the outset that this juice, although it does have the DNA of the range, is not the best, far from it.

It is not inherently bad. It is even rather pleasant to vape and we expect no less from the manufacturer. But the imprecision of its aromas and a less controlled recipe than usual make the first contact disappointing. Of course, I vaped a good 5ml to see if the Granny's Dose could be tamed and it is clear that this is the case and that it can be consumed without disgust or nervousness. But at the time of the assessment, the juice lacks character, hesitates between several trends without transcending any and remains quite empty in finality.

We feel on inspiration a caramelized apple and a vanilla paste. Then, thereafter, a very slight acidity that we cannot really name. It's light, probably too much and above all, it's opaque. Indeed, no aroma really emerges, as if all were present at the same dosage level and a fine palate will be the one who will manage to find his marbles there ...

I think that by wanting to include Granny's Dose too much in the genetics of the range, Espace Vap has deliberately erased the specific character of the juice. But by doing so, we deviate from the tarte tatin described to end up with a broth that is certainly not unpleasant but illegible. And the general taste is not original enough to create a feeling of healthy surprise.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 20 W
  • Type of vapor obtained at this power: Dense
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Medium
  • Atomizer used for the review: Taifun GT, Cyclone AFC
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 1.4
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kantal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

The Granny's Dose readily accepts to ramp up and the temperature does not bother him more than that. Its viscosity makes it compatible with a large part of the atomizers available. Preferably vape in a cushy vape, around 20W, on a good quality reconstructable or a dripper.

  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: No

My mood ticket on this juice

Granny's Dose will appeal to converts to the Addiction range because it has all the scars. But, come to think of it, it adds nothing more to this quality collection. Less convincing than the Pear Of The Dark in a similar spirit, it lacks definition and benchmarks.

The Addiction range, in my opinion, is a success thanks to the relevance of its concept: premium and finely crafted liquids at an entry-level price. Granny's Dose is at its fair price. This is what makes a noticeable difference with the other references.

A not bad e-liquid in an excellent range. This is his biggest flaw.
