VZone is a new brand from the Middle Kingdom that is coming to the Old Continent in force at the moment. Specializing in mod-boxes with an aesthetic of choice, the manufacturer therefore comes in with three devilish sexy references whose appearance does not forget the technological content, quite in the nails of the latest modern productions.

The Graffiti is therefore the dual 18650 battery version and promises a power of 220W. Sold around € 66, it therefore takes place in the mid-range segment and relies on its cosmetic difference to appeal to vapers in search of elegant originality.

Available in three well-sliced ​​colors, the Graffiti presents three very different paintings in order to hang the attention. The choice is assured. 

Offering a classic variable power mode, the Graffiti also has full temperature control, a pre-heat here called Taste Mode and all the protections necessary for a vape in all serenity.

The promise is therefore rather charming, it only remains to verify that the practice meets the theory!

Whether you are a “client” or not of this type of very graphic box, it is purely objective to note that the aesthetics have been neat.

Indeed, Graffiti presents well, very well even. The body offers a zinc / aluminum alloy with the most beautiful brushed effect which exudes a high quality of machining. On each side, tables are inlaid on the sides and communicate a Graffiti aspect, precisely, thus perfectly assuming the name of the product.

On the widths, there are two attached plates, of different color and tinted in the mass, the main one accommodating the switch, the screen, the interface buttons as well as the micro USB port.

One of the sides is formed by the magnetic cover providing access to the battery cradle. Easy to remove thanks to a notch located on the bottom of the panel, it reveals a neat and clean interior, reflecting the overall quality of the product which is worthy of the superior category. 

The swith is tinted aluminum, the same color as the plates mentioned above. It is square in shape, well reactive and pleasant to handle. 

The screen remains fairly classic, clear, even if we might have liked a little better contrast for viewing in direct sunlight. It displays essential information such as the current vape power or temperature according to the mode chosen, the resistance value, that of the voltage delivered, the pre-heat mode in function as well as the battery gauge. It overlooks the two buttons [+] and [-], also in metal, the handling of which is no problem. These interface knobs are slightly less well adjusted than the switch, which sounds amazing but does their job as you might expect.

On the top-cap, an 18mm diameter connection plate, equipped with a positive spring pin, takes place and has a very good quality to accommodate any ato of 25mm or less, the width of the box being 26mm.

On the bottom cap, we find the notch to ensure easy extraction of the cover, a few mentions engraved deep in the material as well as cooling vents.

The qualitative feeling is very flattering, the machining has been totally mastered and the Graffiti presents very well. The grip is good even if the weight and the consequent width (56mm) of the object could be a brake for some hands. But the whole is attractive, refreshing with its street art aesthetic and above all, remarkably well constructed.

The in-house chipset responds to the sweet name of HW Board 1.0 and provides all the features that we are entitled to expect in 2018 from an up-to-date box. 

We have the choice between two modes. First of all, a classic variable power mode operating between 7 and 220W in steps of 0.5W, which saves us from waiting forever when using the interface buttons. In this mode, the resistance range goes from 0.1 to 3Ω. This mode is accompanied by a pre-heat function, called Taste Mode, allowing the signal to be modulated. The SOFT item implies a smooth start of the signal in order to accompany a very reactive editing without obtaining dry-hits. The NORM item restores the signal as pre-set by the power. The HARD prints a boost of the first seconds of the signal in order to wake up a slightly diesel assembly. There is also a USER item allowing you to sculpt the response curve over the ten seconds of puff and thus customize the rendering of your vape.

The temperature control mode will operate between 100 and 300 ° C on a resistance scale from 0.05 to 1Ω. It natively supports the following resistives: SS316, Ni200 and titanium. However, it doubles as a TCR module which will allow you to implement the heating coefficient of the resistive of your choice.

There are also three memory locations where you can store your settings for easy retrieval. 

The necessary protections for a vape in peace are present on call: cut-off of 10s, protection against low voltages, against short circuits, against incorrect placement of batteries, against excessive temperature of the chipset ... in short, all that is necessary to ensure a vape in optimal conditions of safety.

The ergonomics have been simplified to the extreme and the technical handling of the box poses no problem. 5 traditional clicks turn the device on or off. 3 clicks allow you to enter the menu. At this time, the modifiable parameters are highlighted directly on the home screen and each modification is accessed with a simple flick of the switch. To review the different parameters or modify the different items, all you have to do is use the interface buttons. Nothing really rocket science, then, in the handling of Graffiti. It's simple and clear. No more spending time tuning your mod, the time to vape begins ...

The box is delivered to us in a beautiful cardboard drawer box proudly displaying a picture of the product.

There is a USB / Micro USB cable as well as a multi-language manual including French sometimes approximate (I liked learning that the switch was called a “fire button”), but clear enough to go around exhaustive of all the possibilities of the bike.

A correct packaging, rather aesthetic too.

Let's move on to the weight and size of the beast that we have already talked about and which may annoy little hands. The box is not uncomfortable, however, the rounded edges have a lot to do with it. In addition, the perceived quality being quite flattering, we quickly get caught up in the game and the box very quickly becomes an object of envy among your vaping friends! 

The simplified ergonomics and the relevance of the functionalities allow a very intuitive use and the technical handling is fast and easy, including without referring to the manual as long as one knows a little this type of object.

The autonomy is rather good for a double battery, a sign of a good calibration of the energy necessary for operation. 

The possibilities for customizing the signal are very efficient and really make it possible to influence any type of assembly. In terms of rendering, this is reflected by a rather dense and compact vape. The latency is very low and allows an almost immediate rise in the signal, suitable for treating the most reluctant atomizers. The aromatic precision is there and, even if it is a little inferior to some tenors of the sector like Evolv or Yihie, it ensures a greedy and powerful vape.

In summary, the ramage therefore relates to the plumage and the Graffiti is doing with honors, especially since its reliability in intensive use is remarkable, at least over a week of testing. Whatever the type of ato and the level of resistance, we always see a similar and positive result, both on a nag ato and a quiet MTL ato.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

Gone are the days when you had to invest 200 € for an effective and well-built mod. The very notion of high-end, if it is still present today, tends to go a little out of fashion in view of the pitched battle taking place in the middle-market to always offer better for much lower prices.

We already knew the continuous push of certain manufacturers like Smoant or Tesla in the sector. From now on, it will be necessary to do with VZone which, for a first try, achieves a masterstroke by offering an interesting alternative box, aesthetically different from current fashions around manga design and presenting a remarkable build quality.

What deserves a Top Mod without hesitation. 65.90 € for a 220W double battery mod machined like a large one, this is something that would have been unthinkable three years ago. Enough to greet the prowess with greed!
