The Dvarw DL FL from KHW Mods! You could say I've been waiting for him for a long time on my workbench, this one. It must be said that the noises of the corridor which whistled like the wind under the doors were numerous: “best RTA in the world”, “incredible atomizer”, “the killing of the moment”… The rumor swelled like a cyclone as the lands and I admit that my interest was tickled like never before!
KHW Mods is above all a Hungarian modder who won his letters of nobility by releasing the first Dvarw of the name, MTL atomizer which has largely contributed to its good reputation. Beyond its unpronounceable name, the atomizer had marked the spirits by its quality of construction and transcription of flavors. It was therefore tempting, I believe, to give offspring to this precious and rare object by declining an FL version (for Face Lift) in DL ...
The FL version differs little from the first of the name. A narrower top cap, greater ease of filling, a reduced size and a more worked plate. However, as we will see later, it was well worth it, enough to think that it will undoubtedly be very difficult to do better.
The atomizer is sold 109 €, which makes it enter the high-end category without blushing the comparison with more established brands because it still retains a correct price in the super-atom segment. For this price, you will have a piece from a series very limited in number and which will have been tested before packaging, the modder being uncompromising as to the quality of its production.
The Dvarw DL FL is a strict 24mm single coil, whose airflow is not adjustable but can be personalized and it offers 6ml of liquid capacity, which is sufficient for a very slightly restricted DL atomizer. Lovers of snorkels and other breathing apparatus, you can stay since you are already there but know that this atomizer is not a fairground but rather a DL ato focused on flavors. MTL fans, know that there is also a much less aerial version, the aptly named Dvarw MTL FL, existing in 22mm and 24mm in diameter. For tourists, there is also the FL Tower but it is not my favorite area ...

Classic, timeless and devoid of frills. Here are the words that could characterize the aesthetics of this atomizer whose natural elegance will allow it to be installed with happiness on any mod, electric or mechanical. Apart from an engraving of the name of the atomizer on the bottom cap and the usual mentions on the butt, nothing disturbs the peace of mind of admiring a simple but classy object that will still be in fashion in 50 years, when we will be vaping laser plant nitroglycerin!
Anatomically, it's that simple. We find, from top to bottom, the very fine top cap which plays a lot on the pure aspect of the atomizer. On this sits the 510 drip-tip in PTFE (Teflon).
Below, there is a 6ml glass reservoir which does not benefit from any particular protection so as not to break the purity of the design. In case of nomadic use or unruly children (is not it, Lucy my darling 😖?), I therefore recommend the addition of a protective silicone ring or the tank option in ultem which will prevent you from repeated heart attacks every time your set-up falls on the table ...
However, if the glass is not unbreakable, it leaves a pristine view of the liquid content that will let you know where you are with your consumption.
Just on the floor below, we find the bottom cap or seat the tray. This one is a small masterpiece of ingenuity because it offers a fairly basic deck comprising a negative pole and a positive pole (still happy!) But also an airflow “pin” consisting of a steel plate which is easily screwed onto the tray.
The atomizer is delivered as standard with an airflow pin comprising two 2.5mm airholes. But, as an option, you can also opt for a pin of 2 x 3mm, one of 2 x 2mm, one of 1 x 3mm and one of 2.5mm. It is therefore obvious that by changing your pin, you modify the amount of air that reaches below the coil. We can easily imagine that with 2 x 3 mm, we end up with a very open DL. This is why we speak of customizable and non-adjustable airflow.
The top closes with a peek cover surmounted by a steel dome which connects and seals with the fireplace.
It is undoubtedly here that the taste capacity of the Dvarw plays out because, thus closed, the evaporation chamber is very small and therefore concentrates the flavors, the dome finish taking care of conveying the vapor released by the coil without hindrance in the chimney for unimpeded access to your oral appendix, your mouth, what…
Quality level, it is obvious that we are dealing with a modder object. The care taken in the assemblies, the quality of the materials used, the screws free from the slightest defect betray the work of a man of the art, the small series, the simple manufacture or small hands abound towards a unique realization. We are not at Disney (with all due respect) but at Miyasaki.
The rest does not require demonstrations or grandiloquence, you just have to look to know that you are indeed in the presence of a meeting of the third type!

Often, super-atos are scary. Firstly because we dare to put our big fingers in them less, but also because we wrongly believe that, because they are expensive, they are necessarily complex. Well, I suggest you put aside these preconceived ideas because the Dvarw (that name !!! I don't get used to it… 😕) is anything but difficult to assemble.
First, we unscrew the bottom-cap of the tank, which is very easy since only two turns are enough. Then, we mount a coil in 2.5mm or 3mm internal diameter. Personally, I opted for a Fused Clapton NI80 in 0.50Ω but all the choices are possible. Mounting the brackets is easy, there is room to work and the allen screws on the studs are sized enough to clamp any cable. We make the ordinary settings, as on any ato so as not to have a hot point or that, in the case of a micro coil, the heat spreads well from the center of the coil to the ends. Then, we move on to cotton.
This turns out to be even simpler. You will put a long cotton wick so that the coil tightens it well but not too much and you fold the two ends of the wick towards the center and the top. There you put the peek hood in place and cut your excess fiber about 5mm from the top of the peek. Then, you fold the cotton inwards in front of the liquid access ports so as to seal them without it sticking out. Extremely simple! No need to bother with tubs or cotton not to pack too much. Here, it's the lazy style that I love!
Finally, you close the peek hood with the mini steel dome to link with the fireplace and we are good at vaping! Assembly time, 5 minutes watch in hand!
For filling, it's that simple. The number of threads being very small, it is very easy to separate the tank from the plate and it is by turning it over that it is filled. CQFD! Obviously, I see some who pout, there is more simple. This is not wrong but here, you can easily reach the tray to change the cotton without having to empty the tank or trust some kind of complex mechanism that will stop working well one day or another ... A little trick hand to unscrew, fill and go for a turn.

The drip-tip is a classic 510 rather wide when placed and flared up. It is equipped with two seals and holds perfectly in place. Made of Teflon, its medium size provides excellent oral comfort and prevents heat from reaching your lips. Anyway, we can not say that the Dvarw heats up in use. It stays lukewarm.

Ah, the packaging of the high-end atomizers… .. There will have been digital ink on this point! And the Dvarw is unfortunately no exception to the rule. So we got a box of invoice, uh, average…. (Editor's note: Tell the truth, Papagallo !!! 😬) Alright, ok, maybe below par, so 🥺.
Inside, there are spare gaskets and screws, an allen key, the atomizer, the peek cover and an instruction manual.
This one is in French and warns us against the use blah blah, for health which blah blah blah but on the other hand, makes a total impasse on the operation of the atomizer !!! So you can easily refrain from reading it, you will save time. Fortunately, the operation of the Dvarw is very intuitive and will not be a problem for geeks or even beginners in the rebuildable.

So what if we finally talk about vaping?
Dvarw is divine. Even in DL, it exalts flavors that gain in precision. The vapor is very textured and saturated with aroma. This atomizer is a monument to the glory of taste. Regardless of the PG / VG ratio, you will get this same result. A tobacco in 50/50? It's perfect ! A big greedy in 20/80? Get ready to rediscover it! A fruitiness that lacks pep? You will understand that your previous ato was missing!
It's simple, since the Giant Vapor Mini V3, I had not experienced such a big and beautiful surprise. This atomizer is a godsend and will certainly end all the debate on the fact that too much air affects the aromatic concentration. In two puffs, he dismantles all the fallacious arguments. So, frankly, I don't know what that is. The size of the evaporation chamber? The fixed airflow? The introduction of cotton? Or all at once?
What does it matter since the taste result is light years away from the usual atomizers. The aromatic saturation is totally satisfactory for the senses and we even come to the point of saying that, by comparison, the price is not that high ...
As for its use, it is simple and effective. Without leaks or dry-hit by nature, it will really be necessary to entrust its assembly to a mole to have unpleasant surprises. Regarding consumption, it is reasonable but will largely depend on the assembly you make and the power at which you will vape. For example, I vape at 37W for 0.50Ω and I have a good half-day (good, ok, I vape like a 🐷).

What if the secret to its maturity in flavor restitution lay in its structural simplicity and in the absence of too advanced features to be honest?
Here, no adjustment of the liquid flow. No blockage of the tank. No top filling. No airflow adjustment on the fly but a fixed customization. In short, an RTA atomizer that vapes wonderfully, quite simply.
So, is this the best RTA in the world?
I have my answer. In 6 years of reviews, nearly 700 anyway, this is the first time that I have awarded a 5/5 to an atomizer. Now it's up to you to make up your own mind, but don't expect to be disappointed, because that's not possible!
