After the Dripbox Starter Kit, Kangertech offers us a set-up which includes an electronic box with an adapted dripper and pre-assembled in double coil with a clapton type resistive.
This set, like the previous mechanical model of the brand, is equipped with a bottom feeder device with a 7ml bottle in the box, as a reservoir to mechanically feed the dripper by a manual pumping system.
Ergonomically shaped, this box was largely inspired by the design of the Reuleaux but only supports two batteries to offer us all the same power from 7W to 160W.
Functional, easy to use and practical, it also allows you to take advantage of temperature control with Ni200, titanium, stainless steel and nichrome.
The dripper is composed of a removable plate and two double-drilled studs for easy assembly. This dripper is rather well thought out with a tank located in a double bottom which collects the liquid instead of letting it stagnate on the plate, without there being any leak since the excess juice falls back into the bottle.
This kit is available in three colors: black, white or steel. It is an interesting set-up, very complete, with a rate quite correct. All you need is the liquid and the batteries that require a discharge intensity of 30A.

The box is made of zinc alloy, it seems robust. The black coating does not mark fingerprints too much but be careful with the liquid, greasy stains on a mat finish are quickly spotted.
Under the box, there are two valves. One comes off completely because it holds with two small magnets and gives access to the bottle for filling. Its support is firm but be careful because it is still easy to open it… or to lose it. The second valve closes access to the batteries. It comes in the form of a hatch with a spring loaded hinge. It opens perfectly by pushing the ridged button on it. The direction of the batteries is indicated inside this flap and you just have to push it to close it.
The 510 connection is in stainless steel for better resistance over time with a non-adjustable pin pierced in its center to circulate the liquid to the dripper.
The adjustment knobs, like the switch, are made of red plastic. They are not very pretty and the material does not enhance them but they work very well even if they are a bit shaky.
The bottle with a capacity of 7ml is made of flexible plastic, well suited to its function, in which a metal rod is immersed to supply the juice to the ato. The system is much more stable than a flexible hose and above all more robust.
On each side of the box, there are two sets of 8 holes that provide ventilation of the box and, on the top-cap, we have the Kangertch logo embedded in the material with the name of the box "Dripbox 160"
The atomizer is made of stainless steel with a matte black coating, matching the box. It consists of four parts: the base, the removable tray, the tank and the top-cap.
The top-cap is inseparable from the drip-tip. The set is in PMMA and clearly allows not to drive the heat to the lips. A filter of the same material is provided to avoid splashing liquid, it is easily clipped just under the drip-tip.
The tank is quite thin and has two long cyclops type slots (12mm x 2mm), and two 2mm holes of diameter.
The pierced pin is made of brass and can be adjusted by gently pulling it since it is not screwed.
The velocity style tray has fairly close studs (7 mm spacing between holes) and the holes are quite comfortable with 1.5mm in diameter, which allowed me even to use a thick 0.6mm kanthal to make my resistances.
A correct set even if the quality of manufacture remains debatable.

The dripbox offers us a power capacity up to 160W with a start at 7W. It also has the temperature control mode with different resistive (NI200, titanium, nichrome and stainless steel) with an operating margin between 100 ° C and 315 ° C (or between 200 ° F and 600 ° F). The minimum resistance allowed is 0.05Ω in temperature control and 0.1Ω for power mode.
Strictly speaking, it does not have a menu but is very simple to operate.
Equipped with a micro-USB port, it can be recharged by this means even if I recommend the use of a traditional charger. The internal spare option can possibly be used in case of displacement or emergency. Note the need to use batteries with a discharge intensity of 30A.
For safety, it warns:

Of course, its main functionality remains bottom-feeding. To do this, it has a metal tube along its entire length, from its 510 connection, which fits into a flexible plastic bottle that can contain up to 7ml of e-liquid.
This set, integrated into the bowels of the beauty, is based on a pumping system that brings the juice up from the bottom of the bottle to the mod pine to arrive on the atomizer tray (provided it has also a pine pierced in its center, as is the case here). The bottom of the bottle is wedged by a magnetic hatch and, on the top, a tip acts as a stopper around the metal rod and ensures the seal.
The functions of the atomizer are also very simple since it is a dripper with a removable and interchangeable plate (a second plate is provided but it is not identical to the one that is already in place) Velocity type.
The holes of the studs, with a diameter of 1.2mm, are large enough to be able to use a wire of large section.
The tray is pierced with two holes in the center and is screwed on the base which has a small bowl and a perforated rim around the edge. The advantage of this system: allow the liquid to rise very quickly but also not to stagnate on the board.
The tank is equipped with four airholes on each side and opposes two small holes with two slots for a better adjusted airflow. They are located on the top, ready of the top cap, and their size confers a suction very airy or very tight, according to your setting.
The drip-tip is inseparable from the top-cap and will not allow you to use another drip-tip than that which is provided to you. However, top-cap material can dissipate heat well.

The packaging is wonderful. Nice, solid, complete with a lot of little stuff and more. Big Kangertech who cares for his clients and we like that!
In a large rigid cardboard box, tidy, we find the set-up already mounted with double clapton resistors for a value of 0.25Ω and wicks, but there are also:
- A micro-USB charging cable
- A capsule that includes a spare assembly plate, ready to use, in double coil with cotton (but it is not the same in a single hole on each stud)
- An additional squeeze bottle
- An awl wrench with 2 pre-mounted clapton resistors and 4 extra screws

For the box, its operation is so simple that it does not even use a menu to access the functions, incredible!
- 5 clicks on the switch: turn on / off the box

- When you are in the chosen mode, press the adjustment buttons + and - to adjust your choice
- Press for 2s on [+] and [-]: you change the orientation of the screen

The main function of this setup is the bottom feeding. This requires especially the two products (box-ato) to have a pierced pin for the exchange of fluid by pumping on the flexible bottle to feed the wick juice by simply pressing on the bottle, without the need for a atomizer with tank.
For this, you must first fill the bottle. The manipulations are simple. Unlike the dripbox choke, it is useless to make a boot, the liquid rises immediately without the need to soak the wick beforehand.
The realization of the assembly is very easily, even with a resistive large diameter. The tray can be unscrewed to be prepared on a table leaving ample room for installation.
The ergonomics are also well adapted, despite an imposing size for a double 18650 battery. The edges have a rounded shape which remains pleasant in the hand.
During use in power mode, this box is supposed to recognize the change of atomizer and ask you if it is a "new coil: y / n?" ". However, this question was not put to me and, on many occasions, I had to switch when I removed the atomizer for the new resistance to be taken into account. So, be careful when you change your resistances and be careful that the question is asked of you. Then press [+] for yes and [-] to keep the same resistive value.
Autonomy, it remains in normality. Compatibility with other products is not a concern. I used various atomizers to test this box, both with a classic dripper and with an atomizer with a tank, no problem. It is the same with a "Tsunami" fitted with a BF pin (photo attached), the fluid transmission is perfect!

The mood ticket of the reviewer
An unbeatable quality / price ratio for this Dripbox 160 which is absolutely complete, despite an average build quality, but sufficiently efficient operation.
The only big flaw of this box is the recognition of the new resistance, capricious. It is easy to overcome it but it is still necessary to think about it.
A set that offers great possibilities thanks to its high power, these different working modes and compatibility with other materials.
Priming is easy and no leakage was observed thanks to the base which has a tank under its tray.
The atomizer tray gives the possibility to make assemblies with big wire but is still limited by the spacing of the studs and the diameter, however honorable, holes in 1.2mm which limits the resistances with worked or braided son who need big powers and more space.
An exceptional and very complete packaging that is important to emphasize as it is exceptional. A very successful set-up.
