Animodz is a French company that has been concocting small wonders of RBA / RDA mods and atomizers for us since October 2012, so it's not yesterday and Cédric Persan the creator, surrounded himself with competent professionals for the production in limited series of its models.
We are with the Doggystyle in full RBA of original design, laser screen printed and which costs an arm! Normal for a well-designed, perfectly crafted work of art that you can keep usable for the rest of your life.
This atomizer contains 3ml of liquid, easily "refillable". It has its own characteristics making it simply perfect for a vape devoted to flavors and completely useless for cloud hunters, let's see this in detail.

The quality is there. The stainless steel (316L) from which the metal parts are made ensures longevity without altering the main components. The 510 connector is cut in the mass. The vaporization chamber with a diameter of 8mm begins in the ceramic cradle where the coil is located and extends to the adjoining drip tip (called “mouthpiece” on the Animodz site) and whose rotation causes the opening / closing of the air flow.
Only the material of the tank (PMMA) is deplorable (in the sense that I deplore that it is not in Pyrex), for its well-known propensity to cracking and its poor resistance over time with regard to the threads that connect it at the top. The latter can be redeemed separately and in sufficient numbers to allow you to see it coming….
The whole makes a good weight which betrays the beefy side of this ato.
The peculiarity of the assembly lies in the design of the resistance receiver and therefore the way in which we will have to coil it.

Let us now focus on this resistance. When you have unscrewed the four parts of the ato body, you keep the plate in your hand and you notice that a cylindrical housing terminated by the pierced positive connector is there instead of the “traditional” bounded plates where you usually screw your resistives.
This is the first originality of the Doggystyle, it is provided with a ceramic "cradle" pierced laterally with 2 tiny holes (perfect for the 0,30), a central recess, and a top part of a larger diameter, laterally split with lumens of one mm thick by 3,5 mm long. A black O-ring ensures the sealing and the centering of the device when it is placed on the plate.
Preparation for assembly
I will not dwell on explaining to you how to mount your coil on this system, I invite you to carefully read the instructions for use provided to do this and also invite you to learn about 2 silent short films that will reveal you all the manipulations necessary for the making of your coil, here (video tab under the photos).
The second particularity of this ato is its LFC (Liquid Flow control), if you can call it that. To create a more efficient suction in terms of adding juice to the coil, you will play on the rotation of the drip tip and therefore, on the course of the chimney on its base, which it drives. This rotation allows you to unscrew the chimney by a maximum of 4 or 5 mm, which increases the juice inlet capacity by freeing the side channels provided for this purpose. This system is part of the joys of taming the doggie. Indeed, it will condition both the heat and the possible quantity of vape, the heat also depends on the position of the coil more or less close to the suction vent in the ceramic base.
A whole program for geeks, patience and stubbornness as a bonus, because you will not get a perfectly satisfactory vape on the very first cut, you can believe me.

A manual in French as well as a bag of spare parts are part of your purchase, you will find Kanthal in 0,30, a spare ceramic cradle and additional gaskets, this is an appreciable minimum.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
I must admit that it took me a few tries and adjustments to find the vape satisfactory with this ato, I will not detail my setbacks here but will give you some advice:
Your basic resistive (supplied) is fine, do not try to drop below 0,5Ω, the vape will turn out to be hot and the LFC settings will not change anything except that you will burn the juice in case of power too low and you risk gurgling by increasing the flow too much, (don't worry, this can also be the case with a 1 ohm coil).
The foot, for mézigues, is located with a Kanthal 0,30 assembly, 2mm in diameter (MC 7 turns for 1,3 ohm), buried at the bottom of the ceramic very close to the air inlet , and a strand of Fiber Freaks n ° 2 previously cut to 3mm wide, the vape was then finally revealed, admittedly a little tight for my taste, but particularly tasty, warm hot, ideal with a gourmet tobacco.
Knowing that the Doggystyle is supplied with air from below (positive pin pierced at 1mm) you will have to prefer a mod with the top cap well studied to allow this exchange. Any leak will result in the almost immediate and lasting electrical insulation of the system. The liquid being non-conductive, the phenomenon is better understood, because the leak occurs at the level of the positive pin in direct contact with the pin of the mod.
To avoid leaks, make sure that your capillary is thick enough for the diameter of the coil, that it does not obstruct the arrival of the juice through the channels, and avoid too much suction at the start.
In any case, for a correct assembly, follow the instructions in the user manual and watch the videos carefully.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
I did not mention the filling which is carried out simply by removing the ring (top cap) or by unscrewing the mouthpiece / ring assembly which in both cases leaves a comfortable place to do this without problem and in any situation where you will have your hands free.
The Doggystyle theoretically has no more secrets for you, nevertheless it will not fail to apply glues until finally you have mastered its various mounting and adjustment alternatives.
In view of the price and the technical specifications of this ato, I do not recommend it to neophytes without experience of RBA assembly. For geeks and other enthusiasts of beautiful objects who will take the time to wait patiently for many tests, it should be suitable as its vape very qualitatively restores the flavors. We will take care not to seek vaporizing performance, the ULR is not its universe, its tight draw intends it for a quiet vape.
The choice of a mod with the topcap and 510 connector adapted to the air intake from below is essential, the Doggystyle is therefore the ideal candidate for its brother from the Dogz range, the Dogfather.
