Comments on the packaging

Dark Bean is a production of Italian origin, straight from the Flavor Art catalog. Its distribution in France is ensured by the company Absotech.

The different ranges are packaged in 10 ml bottles of transparent plastic and equipped with a fine tip at the end. The PG / VG ratio is fixed at 50 / 40, the remaining 10% being spent on nicotine (optional), aromas and distilled water.

Nicotine levels are a bit disruptive to our habits since 4,5 and 9 mg / ml are offered, without omitting the nicotine-free reference or the highest one at 18 mg / ml.
These dosages are identifiable by plugs of different colors:
Green for 0 mg / ml
Light blue for 4,5 mg / ml
Blue for 9 mg / ml
Red for 18 mg / ml

The price is 5,50 € the 10 ml, to appear in the category of entry-level.

Vapelier's note regarding the respect of various conformities (except religious): 4.13 / 5 4.1 5 out of stars

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

Since the first bottles that I evaluated of this brand, Absotech, the distributor for France of Flavor Art, has made real and commendable efforts to inform the consumer and ensure even more transparency and information on the different juices at through a revamped website.
Nevertheless, and it is not his responsibility, I do not judge the system of opening / closing the bottle as effective. Like the sum of the legal notices which, if they are present and complete, ignore many pictograms and the clarity of the warnings.

I do not judge the ongoing compliance since the beginning of 2017, knowing that I received my copies before the implementation of the new regulations.

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in line with the price category: Could do better for the price

Vapelier's note regarding packaging with regard to juice category: 4.17 / 5 4.2 5 out of stars

Comments on the packaging

Legislation and the size of packaging are constraints that some manufacturers are more successful in eliminating.
The result of the Flavor Art packaging won't win the prize for attractiveness, but the job is done.
Since all incentives to consume are absent, that should satisfy the legislator.

  • This liquid reminds me of: Another recipe from the catalog Flavor Art

Vapelier's note on the sensory experience: 4.38/5 4.4 5 out of stars

Comments on the taste of the juice

From an olfactory point of view, the top note will be coffee, as expected. Only, I feel another flavor without being able to decipher it with precision.

In the vape it will not be much more obvious. The taste of the grain is there but nevertheless lacks realism. I have the feeling of a second aroma coming to mingle with the assembly ...
The impression of a nut that stands out from this top note and tries to replace the roasted taste of coffee.
So there emerges a strange feeling that takes us away from the Italian espresso, as I imagined it at least.

For once, this recipe has more aromatic power than other variations of the various Flavor Art ranges.
If the mouthfeel remains modest, it emerges more flavors to build a more accurate opinion.

Steam and hit throat are consistent with the dosages announced.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 40 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Normal (type T2)
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Medium
  • Atomizer used for the review: Dripper Zénith & Subtank mini
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 0.5
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kanthal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

On dripper RDA it is easier to do the job and decrypt the flavors. Warm to hot steam will be the most suitable.
Clearly geared towards beginner vapers, I also tested the recipe on an ato tank, Subtank mini… Ok, I grant you a little bit of geekitude, it was equipped with the RBA tray…
And there it is back to square one ... too low aromatic power ...

My mood ticket on this juice

This Dark Bean has an aromatic power superior to other recipes from the brand, which I have previously evaluated.
For a most faithful transcription, I naturally opted for a dripper type atomization device. Unfortunately this material does not go hand in hand with the consumers targeted by this category of e-liquids.

If I found a better taste, my score remains under 4/5 because the blend is not the most realistic.
Nevertheless, juices are sold at prices that are far below our consumption habits and their manufacture is obviously safe.

I can only encourage you to taste them for a personal opinion and possibly to discuss them with you.

See you soon for new hazy adventures,

About the Author

Follower of the tobacco vape and rather "tight" I do not balk in front of good greedy clouders. I love flavor-oriented drippers but am very curious about the evolutions of our common passion for personal vaporizers. Good reasons to make my modest contribution here, no?
