After Phil Busardo's Watermelon Peach, here is Dimitri Agrafiotis' Cool Citrus. The two friends are never far from each other and actively participate in the development of these recipes for the Canadian brand Unsalted.
The concept of the brand is interesting on paper: making liquids for pods or MTL atomizers. Given the growing increase in this type of material in the vape, it is rather well seen. In this context, it is undoubtedly a pity to have chosen a shortfill format of 50 ml of aroma which, inevitably, will not be able to accommodate nicotine. Of course, it will have to be extended by 10 ml of booster and we will be able to access 3 mg/ml, but is that enough for the intended target?
I think 10ml formats would have been better, with nicotine levels between 0 and 18mg/ml, or even nicotine salts. This seems more in line with the concept of the brand and the real needs of the beginner vapers who are concerned.
The liquid is assembled on a 50/50 PG/VG base, traditional but effective for the purpose. It would also have been useful to specify it in the composition on the bottle, this is important information for consumers.
The price generally observed is 18.90 €, median in the category.
We no longer need to introduce Dimitri Agrafiotis, expert and activist of the international vape, who also worked as a designer of high-performance equipment such as the Zénith or the Ares. And we wish him and Unsalted to find a favorable commercial response to this range of three liquids.

The visual is sober but the whole remains pleasant. Devoid of artistic vocation, the design is friendly and proudly displays the brand logo and the name of the product on an orange background.

Comments on the taste of the juice
We can not blame the Cool Citrus for lying about its content.
From the first puff, you can smell a particularly tangy lemon, without any concessions. I who am not against a little astringency sometimes, I admit that here I am served! As no sweet solution comes as a reinforcement in order to sift a little the virility of the citrus fruit, we feel a little disconcerted by a liquid which seems to date a little from the beginnings of the vape.
Quickly behind, a fresh mint points the tip of its nose and gives a vegetable color to the liquid.
A cloud of freshness ends the tasting by installing a length in the mouth that is quite acidic, bitter and not very greedy.
Being a lemon-mint combo, we are not really surprised. There are palates that adapt to this type of recipe and they will undoubtedly be happy to vape the Cool Citrus. The general balances are correct, the aromatic definition rather good.
The divisive spirit will therefore come from the choice of flavors, particularly stiff, which will evoke for some a powerful lemon mint and for others reminiscences of dishwashing liquid, depending on the sensitivity of each.
Personally, I found this liquid unoriginal, but that's not serious. Above all, he is uncivilized. For me, and no doubt this is a mistake, the lemon is at its best when it complements a recipe, fruity or gourmet whatever. Here, it is raw, dry and surly and it is not the mint that will give it a lesson in maintenance.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
Lively and unrelenting, it will be difficult to pair Cool Citrus with any particular drink or food. Perhaps in addition to an iced tea?
I tested it in optimal conditions compared to these MTL and Pod type sights using the excellent Flexus Stick from Aspire. Even under these realistic conditions, it was difficult for me to go through with the test, especially with a constrained airflow that concentrates already violent flavors.

My mood ticket on this juice
It's hard to judge the work of someone you admire. This is my case for Dimitri Agrafiotis who won his place in the pantheon of the vape with a high hand through his regular and versatile work.
Alas, Cool Citrus is not the liquid of the year. Too lively, too acidic, too bitter, it will only appeal to those who like to bite into the flesh of a lemon with their teeth and there are some.
For the others, it will not be refined enough, not put enough in the recipe. Lemon, mint and fresh. Point bar.
