We are leaving today for Cherbourg. Not for a musical romance in the rain but to continue the gustatory tour of France offered by the French brand Curieux through the seven fruity/fresh or gourmet juices that make up the Hexagon Edition.
Cherbourg Mon Amour is offered to us in a transparent flexible plastic bottle inserted in a cardboard box. The vial contains 50 ml of liquid and can accommodate up to 70 ml after the addition of neutral base and/or nicotine boosters since initially, given the quantity offered, the liquid is devoid of it.
The liquids in the range are overdosed in flavors and are optimized to obtain 60 ml of juice. The mixture can be done directly in the bottle, we will then obtain, depending on the quantity of liquid desired, nicotine levels of 0, 3 or 6 mg/ml.
The base of the recipe displays a PG/VG ratio of 40/60. The recipe is entirely plant-based. The 100% natural vegetable propylene glycol has the same characteristics as the so-called “classic” PG, restoring the flavors well and also accentuating the effects of nicotine while being softer for the throat.
Cherbourg Mon Amour is also available in a 10 ml vial with nicotine levels of 0, 3, 6, 12 and 16 mg/ml, this version is displayed at a price of €5,90 while the 50 ml version is offered from € 21,90 and therefore ranks among the entry-level liquids.

Comments on the packaging
Curieux always brings careful work to the design of its packaging. Indeed, all the products distributed by the brand have boxes and labels finely decorated and pleasant to look at!
For the Hexagon Edition, there are illustrations of monuments, famous people or emblematic places related to the name of the city in question as well as visuals indicating the flavors of the liquid.
We find on each label of the collection a female character in a photocollage style who, like us, seems to be doing her tour of France, it's quite amusing!
The packaging is not only aesthetically successful, it is also very generous in terms of the total capacity that the bottle allows. Indeed, with 70 ml we have enough to see coming!

Comments on the taste of the juice
Cherbourg mon Amour is a refreshing fruity drink with flavors of mint mojito.
I immediately identify the tangy notes of lemon as well as the sweeter ones of mint when I open the vial. The sweet aspect is also palpable, the flavors are very pleasant!
The drink has an excellent aromatic power, I manage without any particular concern, to distinguish all the flavors present in the composition.
Lemon appears first thanks to its tangy notes. Lime type with controlled acidity and very present vegetal and fresh notes.
The citrus fruit is then delicately enveloped by subtle menthol touches that “break up” the tangy notes of the lemon somewhat. The plant comes to soften the whole, a sweet spearmint with light peppery notes which contribute at the same time to the “fresh” aspect of the recipe.
the sweet notes appear accompanying the mint until the end of the tasting, fine sweet touches reminiscent of the taste of brown sugar with its delicate caramelized notes.
The whole is refreshing, soft and light, the homogeneity between the olfactory and gustatory feelings is perfect.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting
No need for high power for the tasting of Cherbourg mon Amour, a “moderate” power for a “lukewarm” vapor will be more than enough.
Regarding the draw, MTL and DL can easily agree depending on whether you want more acidity or freshness in the mouth. An airy draw will favor menthol notes while a more restrained draw will accentuate lemony notes.
Rest assured, in both cases the liquid is very pleasant!

The Mojito is a traditional cocktail of Cuban cuisine, the star of aperitifs on the terrace thanks to its particular taste that is tangy, sweet and refreshing at the same time.
Curieux has brilliantly succeeded in reproducing this thirst-quenching and festive drink with all its taste nuances for our greatest pleasure and even allows us to consume it without moderation, quite the contrary!
I was a little afraid, before the tasting, that the fresh notes of Cherbourg Mon Amour were too pronounced. It is not so, this freshness comes naturally from the menthol flavors dosed to perfection.
I liked Cherbourg Mon Amour a lot and this liquid will suit all those who are fond of the famous summer drink. A potential “All Day” for those who have tried it! And a Top Vapelier!
