Continuation and end of the Red Rock range from Savourea. A captivating range that has marked characteristics. A big penchant for fruity liquids, very clean packaging and a really low price which, far from disqualifying the range for a “Premium” claim, on the contrary makes recipes made from natural aromas within reach of all budgets. , guarantors of interesting sensations. Within the range, I had the pleasure of surfing between references inspired by other famous juices but introducing certain taste peculiarities and much more daring e-liquids which revealed intriguing but nevertheless very successful associations.
I will end today with the Captain River that I have carefully kept for the end because, on paper, it contains apple, which is the fruit that I like the least and cucumber, of which the least. one can say is that I do without it easily. So, a personal challenge that should push me to my limits. The juice should be very good, you've been warned!
Well, it starts well with the very rewarding packaging and a host of information that will be used by the consumer to validate his purchase and to be aware of what he acquires. Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects
Like most of its range colleagues, the Captain River, for which I am not insulting you to translate the name, contains water. For an e-liquid inspired by piracy, it is undoubtedly a sacrilege but between us, as I try to explain it each time, this aqueous presence does not harm neither the taste interest of the product nor its healthiness. This is a production choice aimed at fluidifying the liquid to make it compatible with as many devices as possible and also to partly influence the quantity of vapor. So the presence of water in this juice scares me about as much as an episode of Derrick.
There is, I have confirmed, a triangle for the visually impaired included in the label. It is a choice which certainly makes the product comply with the rules in force, but which does not satisfy me personally. Being half-sighted for my part, I can trust my touch and also my sight, in part. To the touch, it is difficult to distinguish the contours of the triangle which look more like micro-folds on the label. In sight, it is complete darkness, it is very difficult to locate it. So, I understand the idea of including this pictogram in the label so as to limit the work on the bottles or to maintain an aesthetic unity. No doubt a total visually impaired person, whose sense of touch is developed beyond the norm, will have fewer tactile detection problems, but I continue to find the old way more convincing, effective and direct.
Apart from this detail, everything else is perfectly in line with the rules and safety is one of the priorities of Savourea, as evidenced by the note obtained on this chapter which pays tribute to the efforts made by the manufacturer.

Comments on the packaging
If we relate it to the price of the product, the packaging is a gift. Indeed, the presence of a blood-red glass bottle, conducive to partially mitigating the destructive effects of UV rays, is in itself the keystone of aesthetic success at all. A label from the same barrel is added to it, proudly displaying the flag of the buccaneer. Modern interpretation of an ancient mythology, it is successful, visual and the theme of the range is perfectly respected. My compliments to the one or those who worked on the design.
The tip of the glass pipette is neither large nor thin, but of a medium size allowing easy filling of a large part of the atomizers that you may need to use. No doubt a thinner tip would have been even more effective but let's not be choosy, we've seen much worse!

Comments on the taste of the juice
I'm telling you straight away so as not to prolong the suspense. Even though I could doubt the combination of flavors offered here until I found it almost incongruous, I had a great time with Captain River. Because the assembly is ideally assembled and the recipe sufficiently fine to interest beyond prejudices.
The cucumber enters the mouth, offering itself between the vegetable it is and a water fruit that it is not. It does not have the bitterness associated with its natural condition but is tinged with a sweetness that makes it resemble a ripe watermelon. The apple, green but devoid of acidity has the good taste not to overwhelm the whole as it could have. Almost shy, it exists especially on the expiration and in the length in the mouth.
The whole is creamy, not like a gourmet dessert but rather like a Greek yogurt and very pleasant to vape. Sometimes it seems to me to feel like bursts of red berries, but I will not swear, which pleasantly tingle the tongue without lingering, like a spice to spice up the whole.
The end of the mouth and the reminiscence of the taste finally gives way to the green apple which is the aroma that lasts the longest. And, although I was resistant to this fruit and indifferent to cucumber, I found myself liking this surprising and delicious mixture. Another proof that all prejudices are erased when they are confronted with reality.

The aromatic power is medium. It will therefore be necessary, and this falls perfectly in line with the PG / VG ratio of this juice, to promote the expression of flavors to that of steam. I therefore recommend a precise rebuildable, RTA or RDA, in single coil and with a mid-tight, mid-air draw so as to have a rather “cold” temperature without adding too much air so as not to level out the aromas.

My mood ticket on this juice
A suprise. And a good one.
I, who have no particular appetite for hazardous combinations when they involve components that I don't like, admit to having been charmed by the Captain River and well beyond what I expected. As you must not block on preconceptions and stay open, I admit that this juice amazed me. I gave it a taste to vaping friends who all had the same initial reflex as me (what is this thing?) And who nevertheless were convinced after two or three simple tasks. A conclusive test therefore.
A well-made and convincing e-liquid which joins in this sense the rest of the range of which a single liquid will have seemed inferior to the others. I leave it to you to find which one… 😈 But a complete and distinctive range which does not lie about its content and which does not deny its container. It is quite rare all the same that an almost complete range is successful. It is however the case of Red Rock which will please, I guarantee, all the amateurs of fruits and all those who like associations out of the ordinary.
