Comments on the packaging

Pear of The Dark, the pear of darkness !!!! The name alone terrifies me and reminds me of the titles of some old chicks like “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”, a sumptuous film which, if you manage to keep your eyelids open for more than a quarter of an hour, heals you. pizza for life!

No more silly jokes, it is therefore an e-liquid signed by Espace Vap for its Addiction range, a range that particularly appeals to me for two new characteristics:

  1. Dream recipes, very powerful aromatically and addictive to wish.
  2. A price floor for a premium range!

The packaging is not the sexiest on the planet and, even if the bulk of the information is there, it still lacks the PG / VG ratio, which is always important when choosing a juice. But we will console ourselves by saying that for that price, other manufacturers are doing less well. And realizing, thoughtfully, that some manufacturers are doing much worse for much more !!!!! Let's move on… but by dint of taking the consumer for obscure pears, we will never make cider… heuuuuu, I understand!

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

Here, no questionable jokes. We are on an e-liquid that takes on and corresponds exactly to what we are entitled to expect from a juice today in terms of transparency. There is nothing to complain about therefore and it is not the presence of pharmaceutical grade water that will be a game changer for the reasons you know if you read us.

To those who still think that the manufacturers add more fleet to save on the base, I invite you to call various manufacturers of your choice and they will explain to you better than I the usefulness of this natural element in a mixture and its safety once vaporized. Otherwise, we would take very reckless risks every time we cook pasta while breathing in water vapor!

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in accordance with the price category: Yes

Comments on the packaging

Given the floor price at which the manufacturer sells its product, that its pouring bottle is perfectly suited to filling any type of atomizer with ease, that a more classy packaging would certainly have a significant impact on the selling price and account- given the wind speed on Mount Canigou on December 17th, I think we have here a coherent and correct “packaging”.

Now it is certain that it will never be exhibited at the Louvre and will not receive the 2015 Design Prize. I just hope for a little effort to harmonize the label and the cap whose colors change depending on the nicotine level chosen can create conjunctivitis.

Sensory appreciations

  • Do the smell and the name of the product agree ?: Yes
  • Definition of smell: Fruity, Chocolate, Sweet

  • This liquid reminds me:

A Belle-Hélène pear cooked by an alcoholic pastry chef.

Comments on the taste of the juice

The Pear of The Dark is good and keeps all of its promises. On inspiration, we find a Williams pear, rather dry but tasty, which bathes with joy in a rather young but quite woody whiskey. On the exhale, we find a rather diffuse chocolate, rather pleasant and which mixes in the aftertaste pleasantly with the whole. The whole gives a compact taste, well put together and quite dry. This is probably the only criticism I would allow myself to make with this e-liquid. He is not really greedy.

Be careful, don't make me say what I didn't say. The Pear of The Dark is not acidic or too strong, it simply lacks a bit of softness for my taste to take all its gourmet dimension. And even though I vaped the vial like a thirsty, which is usually a good sign, I think the promised vanilla cream is too underdosed to take on its true aromatic amplitude. Frankly, if I had not read the composition on the site afterwards, I would not have noticed it. And even afterwards, this aroma is much too shy to happily influence the recipe. At most, I note dark chocolate / milk chocolate variations which undoubtedly demonstrate the influence of vanilla cream.

The length in the mouth is excellent and the residual taste is very good. Pear of The Dark is probably not the best juice in the range, but it will appeal to fruity and alcohol lovers.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 15 W
  • Type of vapor obtained at this power: Dense
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Strong
  • Atomizer used for the review: Taifun GT, Cyclone AFC
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 1.4
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kantal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

The juice takes on its true taste dimension at low enough power for the test material. At 15W, it gives the fullness of its aromas. Above, aggressive aspects take shape little by little, the alcohol rises in the mixture and we lose the serenity of the whole. It stays perfectly fine up to 18W and then takes too much whiskey above to stay consistent. I recommend a resistance between 1 and 1.4Ω and a rather median draw in order to keep a good aromatic power while ventilating the few “roughness”.

Recommended Moments

  • Recommended Moments of the Day: End of lunch / dinner with a coffee, End of lunch / dinner with a digestive, Beginning of evening to relax with a drink, End of evening with or without herbal tea
  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: No

Overall average (excluding packaging) of the Vapelier for this juice: 4.08 / 5 4.1 5 out of stars

My mood ticket on this juice

Can't say I loved the Pear Of The Dark. I also can't say that I didn't like it. I steamed it without displeasure and found undeniable greedy aspects tempered by a drought that was undoubtedly a little too pronounced.

The problem with the Addiction range is that, given the references that I have already tested, being amazed each time by a festival of flavors, I was probably expecting too much from this one too and, without being disappointed , I was not as won over as usual. Be careful, however, this is only an opinion and I remain convinced that this juice will find its fans because its quality of assembly can not be faulted. Just a matter of personal taste.

If you like pear, chocolate and strong spirits, you could find with this liquid a new and nice playmate. If you like gourmet and creamy juices, you will probably be a little disappointed.

All in all, a good juice from a manufacturer from which we expect nothing more and nothing less than excellence!
