One of the flagship creations of this Chinese brand, theAegis, a shockproof and waterproof box very resistant which has seduced the most daredevils or clumsy among us.
It happens to us in a Mini version which has a built-in 2200mAh battery and which is capable of reaching 80W.
Offered at a price of less than 40 €, the case seems very interesting and at this price, it should appeal to more than one.

This Mini version of the Aegis takes elements of style specific to the family: association of leather, metal, soft gum, drawing with the hook.
In short, a small testosterone concentrate (excuse ladies), even if the reduced dimensions give this mini version some finesse.
The shapes and feel of this coating suggest good comfort and good grip.
In the middle of the facade, a good size OLED screen, above him, the fire button and below +/- buttons.
The Top-Cap is equipped with a plate capable of receiving an atomizer without risk of overshooting.
The Bottom Cap him, welcomes the micro-USB port well hidden under a thick silicone cap which ensures its sealing.
The overall quality is good, like any good Aegis self-respecting this new version exudes solidity. It is not too heavy given the capacities.
Overall, we are really in phase between the qualitative feeling and the price, I would even say that we are a cut above what we expect to have.

On this point, “nothing new” because our Aegis Mini uses the same Chipset as his big sisters.
So we have all the possible modes of vapes: Variable power, temperature control compatible with NI200 cable, SS316 and of course, Titanium, a TCR mode and finally a Bypass mode. Nothing is missing.
The resistors must have a value included in 0.05 and 3Ω.
The Box is shockproof, dust-proof, waterproof to IP67, which gives it exceptional resistance. In addition to its “physical” protections, the electronics will provide you with the essential safety features (short-circuit protection, discharge limit, etc.).
The recharging function is said to be “fast”, the Box accepts a current of 2A of intensity which makes it possible to obtain a charge of 80% in 40 minutes.
Finally, the plate can receive atomizers up to 26mm in diameter without protrusion and the connection is, as most often, equipped with a spring-mounted pin.

The Box is delivered in a box that respects the usual codes of the brand including the iconic orange and black colors.
A flexible cardboard case that features a photo of the Box in a decor reminiscent of its shockproof and waterproof functions. On the back, the normative logos, the contents of the box and the main characteristics. Under the case, a black rigid cardboard box. Inside are the Box, a USB / Micro-USB cord, a cap and a spare screw to cover the USB port.

First, this “little” Aegis is compact and light enough, so it will be easy to take everywhere.
The ergonomics are pretty good, the Box is comfortable, the handling is good.
The ergonomics of the electronic interface are accessible. We find the 5 basic clicks for switching the system on or off. As for the settings, we will press the switch three times to be able to switch from one mode to another with the +/- buttons. In the different modes, the adjustment principles will always be the same, the + and the - to move the sliders or vary the power or temperature values, and the switch button to validate your choices. A fairly instinctive interface that is easy to learn.
The sensations are good, the Box offers good responsiveness and very good regulation.
The recharging is done without problem and the autonomy of 2200 mAh is correct, especially if you vape at powers below 20W.
The physical protections work well, it handles falls well and is not afraid of getting wet, you can find quite evocative videos on this subject on the brand's website.
In use, theAegis Mini is effective, practical and above all very resistant.

THEAegis Mini retains all the qualities that made its success, solid, resistant to water and dust, it has the luxury of keeping the same Chipset as its predecessors and therefore makes no concessions to be miniaturized.
It can do everything, variable powers, TC, bypass… Fairly simple to learn, it tames quickly and offers a very good quality of vape thanks among other things to a very good reactivity (0,009 Seconds).
Built for the rough, it can finally take anything and the fact that it is more compact strengthens its aptitudes for outdoor nomadic use.
Perfect for those who work in workshops or on construction sites, it is also perfect for clumsy people who often drop their Setup, you just have to find an atomizer as “tough”.
Powerful, it is, but you have to be aware that even if the battery is not ridiculous with its 2200 mAh, it will be very limited if you want to vape at a power greater than about thirty watts. To counteract this, there is the fast charge but I'm not sure that is enough.
So I think it will be ideal for those who vape at 15 / 20W and who are looking for a well-armed companion to withstand the pangs of everyday life, especially if like me you have two left hands.
