Hcigar made a mecha! This is not a new new mod concept and the period does not really lend itself to this kind of initiative. But it is there, and while we are, let's see if it is correct.
It is all battery options, a neat aesthetic, delivered well protected, so far no problem.
The mecha option if it seems outdated and too "simplistic" to some is still relevant for a lot of us, it is a choice that is reliable and "all terrain". As long as you have good, well-charged batteries, there is no risk of falling out of mod and no longer being able to vape.
Among the inventors of the vape, we were not mistaken (although the ricans are at the origin of the mecha), the ancestor of the mod still holds its place!

Good quality of assemblies, both tubes and 2 caps, the threads are well machined, the mod is clean without any filings or badly deburred part. The black satin lacquer brings out the golden engraving of the angel and the copper ends (and worked) finish the object in a harmonious way. The switch locking ring is stitched over the entire surface, thus providing an effective grip for its implementation. The surface in contact with the ato allows an influx of air “from below”. The materials chosen (copper and brass), although more fragile than stainless steel, are also in phase with the basic use of a mechanism: to transport electricity. No mistake, this object is very well designed, we will be able to move on.

No fault I tell you, I am looking, however, you can believe me, I cannot find any, even the degassing vents are discreetly present: 4 holes inside the switch. The top-cap offers 2 depth settings: one according to the size of the ato connector (the black threaded insulator) and the other for the adjustment of the connection (copper threaded pin). The switch is also adjustable, its threaded copper screw reduces or increases the tensioning stroke which, although mounted with a spring, proves to be firm and effective. This mod takes any type of battery in 18mm, with or without protruding button.

That's it !! I found a downside:
I did not arrive despite my attempts to add an Evolv kicker in 21/18, that said for the 650 and 490/500, not having 350 on hand I cannot formally assure you that it is impossible .

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
Well, it is sure that in terms of packaging it is not the Mona Lisa ... For the instructions we forget, the box is cardboard, its adjoining cover folds down and holds in place thanks to 2 magnets stashed away under a paper covering White. We learn on a label that the mod (or the box?) Is “designed in UK”… .. good. The mod is packaged in a transparent plastic case that you will take care to throw away for recycling to avoid polluting the ball, thank you in advance.

For the ease of transport with the test ato, frankly, with the heat it is I have not tested the jacket, say that there is no discomfort to sit on it if you have it. 'forget it in the back pocket of the jeans, I don't dare, and as I vape in a dripper I have a small dedicated vape bag where I store everything. The drippers are like the Harley-Davidson, there is always a 'tite escape ... .. I will not have fun walking around with more or less suspicious spots depending on where I have pocketed the gear, (like the front pocket of the pants, you see?). To come back to the mod, with the battery and a magma, we are around 220 - 230g in 18650, it's not negligible and I have to find something to complain about a little.
Vaping with this mod is simply worry-free. No latency, the switch is straight forward, the locking ring does not get stuck, it does its job well, no tool needed to adjust the different threaded parts, the ato is flush, the batteries have no floating, in short, it's good stuff.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Thank you Carlos for this loan, in addition to my personal interest in this kind of stuff, I particularly appreciated reviewing it and using it for 3 days non-stop. In the panoply of resolute vapors, there is necessarily a mecha mod, the advantages of this type of vape are no longer to be demonstrated: reliability, simplicity, efficiency, longevity ... ..
The dark angel is one of those mods which we can not find fault with, and which we can only note the good design, the good finish, the excellent conductivity… .. besides about this I will tell you this that the leaflet could have taught you if it had been present:
To maintain the optimal performance of the electrical contact elements, take care to keep them dry, clean and non-oxidized, using light abrasives, (very fine) polish the contacts of the switch and the top-cap of from time to time. Pay the same attention to the cleanliness of the metal threads (tubes and caps), particularly that of the 510 connector, (the use of a brass wire brush is recommended).
I will refrain from commenting on the aesthetics but I insist on the quality of the elements lacquered, engraved, or worked both for the pleasure of the eyes and for the functional side. This mod will give you complete satisfaction whatever the length of the battery used, I take this opportunity to remind you of the judicious choice of the latter according to the resistance value of your ato, prefer to vape in complete safety and only use batteries from 20A. The autonomy performance announced by manufacturers in mAh is often overestimated.It is also important to note that in IMR the higher the CDM (in Amps) the lower the autonomy (in mAh), this battery chemistry still remains the most “safe” for our use in mechanics. Above 1,7 ohm, the unregulated vape (in mecha) is of no interest both in terms of performance and autonomy with an 18650 at 4,2 V. So stay around 1 ohm to get better performance from your batteries while preserving their performance.
To conclude this modest review, I recommend this mod, since it is now acquired, I hope at least, that a mechanic is essential for any far-sighted vapoteur, you will not go wrong by getting the Black Angel, its price is justified and its durability will have made you amortize it well before it lets you go…. or let it go.
