Comments on the packaging

Curieux is a French manufacturer located in the Paris region which was founded in 2015. The brand offers 63 flavors spread over 11 ranges including the “Hexagone” collection, a tour of France with seven fresh or gourmet fruity juices.

The Bamboche à Bordeaux, from this range, is packaged in a transparent flexible plastic bottle containing 50 ml of product. The juice is overdosed in aroma, it will therefore be imperative to add neutral base or nicotine before use.

Indeed, the liquid being naturally devoid of nicotine, it will be necessary, according to your needs, to add a booster for a rate of 3 mg/ml or two for 6 mg/ml directly in the vial, which can accommodate up to 70ml of liquid.

The base of the recipe displays a PG/VG ratio of 40/60 and is entirely composed of vegetable base, 100% natural vegetable propylene glycol having the same properties as PG. It restores the flavors well, accentuates the effects of nicotine while being softer for the throat.

Bamboche in Bordeaux is displayed at a price of €21,90 and ranks among the entry-level liquids.

Comments on the packaging

The design of the packaging fits very well with the name of the product. Indeed, there are several illustrations of monuments referring to the city of Bordeaux as well as visuals of emblematic products from this region. An image of blackcurrant, present in the composition completes the whole.

On the front side of the label, there is a female character “photocollage style”. Its presence is consistent with the name of the juice since one of the possible definitions of the word “bamboche” refers to a small or even deformed person, hence the “rough” collage of the visual.

The label is smooth and all the various data written on it are clear and legible.

The packaging is neat, well made, it's clean!

Comments on the taste of the juice

Bamboche à Bordeaux is a typical “fruity/fresh” juice with grape and blackcurrant flavors.

The presence of blackcurrant is obvious even omnipresent at the opening of the bottle. The berry is easily recognizable thanks to its fragrant, aromatic, fresh and pungent scents. The smell is pleasant and pleasant.

Unsurprisingly, after this olfactory observation, blackcurrant has the most pronounced aromatic power in the mouth during tasting. The taste of the berry is realistic thanks to the fragrant, juicy, slightly acidic or even astringent notes it provides.

Regarding the flavors of the grapes, I must admit that I can't really discern them well. Indeed the intensity of blackcurrant seems to erase them. They certainly contribute to the extra delicate softening, sweet and juicy notes felt at the end of the tasting.

The “icy” aspect of the composition is rather felt as a subtle touch of well-dosed freshness, not aggressive and whose rendering is refreshing. This last taste note is very pleasant!

Bamboche à Bordeaux is light, the homogeneity between the olfactory and taste sensations is perfect.

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

Typically fruity, the Bamboche in Bordeaux will not necessarily require too high a power for its tasting. However, I opted for a value close to the maximum recommended by the manufacturer in order to compensate for the overall lightness of the juice.

A limited edition is more suitable to bring out more precisely the taste nuances but also to take full advantage of the refreshing notes appearing at the end of the tasting.

My mood ticket on this juice

Blackcurrant is a berry whose particular taste is recognizable among a thousand. Bamboche à Bordeaux praises it, while remaining realistic and convincing.

Curieux has been able to perfectly reproduce all the nuances of the berry both in terms of smell and in terms of its appearance in the mouth.

Add to that sweet and pleasant refreshing notes, perfect for a fruity summer break!

I have only one regret, that of not having felt the grapes more clearly during the tasting. As it is, I can only recommend this refreshing fruity juice for lovers of the genre as the blackcurrant is addictive!
