Reviewer comments on business characteristics

After a Mage that will have had a certain resonance among cloud lovers, CoilART returns with an Azeroth RDTA which, as its name suggests, comes to us from the planet where the Warcraft game takes place. A good omen, no doubt, but above all a strong commercial appeal for gamers in love with the franchise. They are smart at CoilART. The next one might be called Diablo, why not? Ah damn, it's already taken… ..

The Azeroth is an RDTA (Rebuildable Dripping Tank Atomizer), namely an atomizer functioning like a traditional dripper but, instead of the tank generally in force, the capillary plunges into a deep tank. Anyone who has been vaping for more than three years would have considered it a normal atomizer, but lexical multiplication probably also has commercial advantages that we do not know. The snobbery of geeks should never be underestimated! “Do you have your new RDTA? Affirmative, I mounted it in Fused Clapton in gauge 26 around an axis of 3, I have to tilt a little but it sends heavy! ” . Obviously, that sets the scene ...

The category is already well supplied with references such as the Avocado 24, The Limitless RDTA Plus and many other very interesting products. Of course, there is always room for a newcomer, it is still necessary to have specificities to offer or a quality of rendering, even an interesting price. CoilART doesn't come empty-handed or without a promise. Because, beyond mere appearances, this atomizer conceals interesting surprises that we will discover together.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

Aesthetically, we are not on an atomizer that is innovative. It is true that to the uninitiated, nothing looks like an atomizer than another atomizer. But for us who know the difference between a Kayfun V5 and a grand piano, well the Azeroth will not mark us more in fact. Having the same form factor as an Avocado more or less, it is therefore not on the external aspect that Azeroth intends to surprise us. That said, its aesthetic is far from charmless. For my part, I find in him this discreet elegance of traditional forms.

In terms of materials, good surprises are starting to appear. Built in 304 steel, an alloy that is admittedly quite widespread, the manufacturer did not cry over the material and the thicknesses of the walls are quite respectable. The same goes for the pyrex which is used for the reservoir and which benefits from the same quality. The top of the top-cap is entirely in delrin and therefore allows good insulation from the heat released in the chamber. It can be turned to hide or open the airholes arranged in shark gills on the sides of the steel facing the resistors.

The size of the pyrex is quite limited, which will inevitably reduce the risk of breakage in the event of a fall. Indeed, the top of the tank, just under the plate is made of a piece of steel, which allows to accommodate a filling orifice that is revealed by removing the top-cap.

The big difference is on the plate which is all gold plated, which will promote conductivity but above all corrosion resistance. The assembly gantry is in the “vice” format, that is to say that the retaining bars, screwed on the studs, compress the resistive wires. It is a credible alternative to the more widespread Velocity type trays. The positive part is insulated by PEEK which holds strong heat well. The clamping screws are long enough to use complex cables of large diameter.

The positive pin of the 510 connector is also gold plated and can be screwed or unscrewed to help you secure your atomizer to your mod. This is something that is increasingly rare and therefore deserves to be highlighted.

The finish is neat, the adjustments are precise. The threads are very sound although I notice some difficulty in screwing the steel circle which compresses the pyrex around the plate. But there are the four diving holes in the board and the interruption of the step is the cause of this difficulty. Nothing serious however, we get there quite naturally after two or three manipulations.

A very “roots” engraving of the manufacturer's logo sits on the top-cap and the product name sits on the bottom of the ato, around the connection. In short, a more than positive result in this chapter with an abundance of gold plating which leaves to hope a rather fast response of the ato to the solicitation of your mod or at least an increased resistance to corrosion.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

Pin 510 adjustable by screw. Controllable airflow by turning the top of the top-cap in delrin. We have seen this and these are two important features on an atomizer.

It remains for us to take a good look at the beautifully golden plateau of Azeroth. The top itself shows a cross seen from above. In the center rests the vice gantry, composed of a negative pole and a positive pole. Two chrome-plated metal screws per pole hold a small bar of gold-plated metal. When they are unscrewed, there is therefore a space between the bars and the studs themselves. This is where you will insert the legs of your coils which will be two in number. And when you have installed the two coils, therefore the four legs, you will only have to tighten the screws in order to flatten the ends of the resistive.

This seems more complex than using a Velocity. It's not false. But for all that, it's still much easier to implement than a three-point plateau. It suffices to position the coils touching the gantry. to tighten the screws and then to pull on the coils using your template in order to move them away from the center while tightening them. It's pretty straightforward to handle in the end. Of course, the principle is not new but it is seldom used so that one makes the effort to linger a little on it.

There are four dip holes on the base of the tray which are therefore used to introduce the chosen capillary into the reservoir. No problem here, it's rather easy and, with the adapted tool, a flat screwdriver in my case, we manage to insert the cotton well, in this case for me the Fiber Freaks D1 that I generally use for this type of ato. There are two schools. You can “dip” fairly short cotton wicks in order to improve capillarity, but this will require you to tilt (turn the atomizer) at the end of the tank to re-feed the ends of the cotton. You can also dip long wicks, which reach the bottom of the tank. The capillarity can be a little thwarted because of the distance to be covered but it is a marginal phenomenon, more theoretical than real. I use the FF D1 precisely so that the almost exceptional liquid transport capacity of this fiber can compensate for this.

To fill the Azeroth, all you have to do is remove the top-cap and you immediately have access to a large orifice that allows you to enter any filling tool. It's easy, not new either, but the accumulation of good points inherited from previous references is precisely what makes this ato a good ato…

Drip-Tip Features

  • Type of drip-tip attachment: Owner but passage to 510 through a supplied adapter
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of drip-tip present: Short
  • Quality of the drip-tip present: Very good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

The Azeroth comes with a nice dose of spares including two different drip-tips. The first, cloud type, is 12mm internal diameter and the second, flavor type, 8mm. Both are delrin, pleasant on the palate and rather short.

If despite everything you are not convinced, all you have to do is install the supplied 510 adapter and you can use your favorite drip-tip.

We can say that all choices are allowed.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

A small box of black cardboard, whose top is transparent and hosts the logo of the manufacturer, provides us with:

  • The atomizer itself.
  • Two drip-tips and a 510 drip-tip adapter.
  • A silicone ring to protect your pyrex
  • A spare pyrex
  •  A black screwdriver with a cruciate print.
  • One bag containing double all seals, 4 spare screws and two spare retaining bars.

Ok, as a manual, you will be entitled to a round paper showing a diagram of the ato. It's not Byzantium but, for once, I'm not going to get carried away, considering that the packaging is largely provided for the requested price.

Appreciations in use

  • Transport facilities with the mod of the test configuration: Ok for an external jacket pocket (no deformations)
  • Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy, even standing in the street, with a simple tissue paper
  • Filling facilities: Easy, even standing in the street
  • Easy to change resistors: Easy but requires a workspace to lose nothing
  • Is it possible to use this product throughout the day with several vials of EJuice? Yes perfectly
  • Was there leak after one day of use? No
  • In the event of leaks during the tests, descriptions of the situations in which they occur:

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

The assembly, once the course of learning has passed, will not pose any problem. The filling is childish. The airflow adjustment is done in two seconds. The capillarity is good, the ato heats up quite little. No leaks with use ... We are on an adventurer atomizer which requires little care to be perfectly functional and which allows itself the luxury of walking with the fire of God.

The rendering is very fleshy and the Azeroth stands out as a leading challenger in the cloud category. Accepting the lowest and mechanically restrictive assemblies without flinching, it has an unsuspected reactivity and the design of the plate or the use of gold plated, I do not know, makes sure to blur the diesel effects of complex assemblies a little.

The result is a steam loco that starts off with a quarter-turn and generates foreground clouds. In terms of flavors, we are in the medium / more segment. It is undoubtedly not the must of the must but there is much worse and the aromas, even drowned in the very important air supply, manage to be discernible and benefit from a fairly good precision.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

The Azeroth is therefore a voluntary, well-built atomizer and stands as an excellent challenger in the RDTA category.

Rather typed “clouds”, it nevertheless remains a provider of fairly precise flavors and therefore reserves, as I had promised you, nice surprises such as the gold plating of the top and the 510 pine, the vice gantry, a construction above suspicion and responsiveness that will give punch to all your edits.

Moreover, its versatile aesthetic ensures that it does not tire the eye and the quality of its finish finally convinces us.

So, all on Warcraft Air and on the way to Azeroth!
