Aspire thinks big! For this version of the Atlantis, 3rd of its kind, here we are with an atomizer of considerable proportions. For reasons of aesthetic coherence, I am not sure that this choice is suitable for most of us, little equipped in terms of mod or box of 30mm in diameter, I naturally think of the female gender, which is a good half vapors.
The brand with “aquatically” named productions has therefore made a daring bet by offering an oversized clearomizer that embeds proprietary coils without the possibility of replacing the original plate with a rebuildable plate as already offered by the competitors on this type of ato. .
With 5ml of liquid available it is not the most efficient either, there are atos tanks in 22mm in diameter which allow 6. Its price, although justified by the object, does not seem too high. is he more than the others apart from his size?

We are used to seeing that when it comes to manufacturing and finishing Aspire designs and produces perfect products. The quality of the Mega is in the same vein as that of its atomizer brothers.
The AFC ring rotates on a notched interior base where balls lock the chosen location is a very "pro" touch.
4 air inlets of 4 different sizes:
4x 1,75 mm for medium draft and direct inhalation.
4x 2 mm for direct inhalation inhalation aspiration
4x 3 mm for a very airy vape
4x 3,5 mm for higher steam production
The drip tip is proprietary, with an external diameter of 15 mm it is proportioned to the dimensions of the beast. Under the latter appears a ring pierced with 4 holes of 2mm, which it opens and closes gradually and simultaneously, by rotation.
4 elements make up the whole: drip tip, top cap, tank, and the plate / connector which accommodates the resistance.
The tank is Pyrex, metal parts made of stainless steel, no positive pin setting, resistance owner requires.

The big change is in the AFC and at the level of the drip tip, the time of the clearomizers with the ultra tight vape, adjustable until a tight draw while passing by very tight, is finished. Aspire takes the concept of Atlantis V2 and adds specific attributes for the vape in ULR.
So this air flow does not have a tight vape position, this is understandable since the appropriate resistances do not exceed the ohm.
In addition to the air flow which acts on the passage and the quantity of air passing through the resistance, the Atlantis mega is equipped with vents for cooling exhaled vapor by adding fresh air…. This device is located under the drip tip and works rather well, unfortunately to the detriment of the quality of feeling in terms of "quantity" of flavors, this system has the effect of cooling the production of steam already generated and therefore dilutes the quantity thus produced. , this affects the quality of the flavors more than the density / quantity of vapor.
To fill your ato, you turn it over with the drip tip at the bottom and you unscrew the tank / chimney / top cap, which then separates from the base, nothing complex and there is no lack of space to perform the operation in the the most austere conditions.
The effective inside diameter of the drip tip is 9mm, that of the chimney only 7, and that of the resistance output is 9 mm, sections a little limited to claim to compete with the champions of power vaping.

The drip tip is proprietary, with an external section of 15mm, 21mm in total length, only the tip exceeds 10mm.
It is placed on a cylinder adjoining the top cap, which proposes to add (or not) ambient air to the mixture already produced. This is probably what explains the difference in diameter between the drip tip and the part of the chimney which leads to it, the 2 mm gap is intended for the passage of the air that you will have let pass from this device.
It is made of stainless steel, with a glossy satin finish that is pleasant on the palate and on the eyes.

This atomizer is of course delivered in a box, but hey, in transparent plastic, in a gray postformed foam which conceals an open hole on its internal face, where the replacement resistance is planted. AND WORSE THAT'S ALL !, not the shadow of a description, a diagram, a notice, nothing.
You will just be entitled to the brand's self-promotional commercial speech (in English) and a certificate of authenticity of the product on the back of the box.
It is appalling, it does not reflect the overall qualitative impression that the atomizer emits, it is moreover a breach of regulations on the marketing of manufactured products within the EU: “French case law requires manufacturers and professional sellers to provide instructions, user manuals, user manuals to the purchaser of the product or else sold when it is difficult to use ”. there appears to be an effort by the brand in this regard to meet future TPD requirements, and importers are tracing the information back to Aspire, there is no doubt.

Eh yes ! This tool is used for vaping, even though no intelligible indication specifies it anywhere, if you are reading this review here it is not to buy a drill press or an electroencephalogram….
Having received this test ato from the silky hands of Papagallo (who already had to crack down on him for his own review), it happened to me mounted with a resistance to 0,3 ohm and full of a juice which according to his words: "Should please me".
So I grabbed my biggest mecha mod: Mad Industries' Penny Copper (thank you Dad) 23mm in diameter, inserted a fully charged 35A battery, and took a large puff.
I'm giving you the details of the coughing, sneezing and hiccuping that followed this mega taffe, just telling you that the juice in question was 12mg / ml of nicotine and that I have been at 6 for almost a year, this explains partly that.
I started vents at the mini, without additional air supply, at 0,3 ohm the battery was requested to deliver a little more than 50W of power, how can I put it? It's a bit too hard. The vapor was abundant without more but the vape was hot, unsuited to the fruity 90% VG juice from Twelve Monkeys: Tropika (very good juice after all).
So I increased the draft and the vapor vapor improved noticeably, without using the top cap vent.
The general impression is that the more holes there are… the less there is gruyère!
Clearly, this ato makes more and more steam the more you increase the air flow and in return provides less and less flavor, the apotheosis of tasteless being reached AFC and upper vent fully open.
Passed on the eVic TC 60W to try to correct the situation, I have to admit that the settings that have the least disconcerted me to obtain a satisfactory taste at this resistance value are quite far from the generally accepted standards, here: between 35 and 40W AFC at the mini and closed at the top, the vape is lukewarm / hot the taste is about there and the production of vapor is rather miserable.
Otherwise to make a good big cloud the 50 to 60W option all open is already much better, but… ..
It is therefore for me an ato certainly very well made, which cannot compete for the feeling with any dedicated / regulated dripper, and which cannot compete with any dedicated / cloud-mounted dripper, end of the test.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Voila, it is not in my habit to break this or that product for free, usually I look for an adjustment or an assembly which would do justice to the work of the designers but, this Atlantis did not help me in my quest for a possible sweet spot.
Its size, weight, performance, not to mention the packaging disappointed me, I am no longer a fan of clearos but I have come to appreciate some of them for their rendering quality and vapor production, this Atlantis, like its little brother the V2 are not part of it.
On the other hand, I recognize the quality of the product and the efficiency of its equipment and functions, no dry hit, no leakage, moderate heating (at the base of the ato) from only 50W, AFC and ventilation of top cap effective, but…. Perhaps it will be necessary to review the resistance or its design, it did not seem useful to me to test the 1 ohm, if it is just to note a drop in production of vapor and a slight improvement in quality of taste , it is useless.
It did not succeed me this Mega Atlantis but that does not prevent you from trying it and finding a compromise of settings at your convenience.
