The Aspire Atlantis Evo is a small clearomizer that under these mini appearances, is actually an atomizer made to send heavy. Expected for the sub-hom, it supports powers of 50W and more.
With a capacity of 2ml which could prove to be too tight for its capacities, this Atlantis can also be metamorphosed into a 4ml version by adding an extension that screws onto the proprietary coil and by changing the Pyrex tank.
So there are two kits: one, that of my test "standard" (without extension), the other is the "extended" to change to an 4ml version.
The pace is sober, simple and classic but the black will not please everyone, meanwhile it is a product that is at the entry level and which, for the price, deserves to be scrutinized.

We stay on a classic product, typical of clearomizers with very few parts, because although there are six, three are intended for the top-cap.
It is a product with a base and a steel top-cap, stainless steel coated in a mat black coating. The solidity seems to me sufficient for a clearomizer but the Pyrex tank although quite thick, weakens the solidity of the whole. However, on the version in my possession, the size of the tank, which measures barely 12mm, also considerably limits the risk of shocks, but it is also thanks to the addition of a silicone protection on the top-cap, that this threat is largely mitigated.
In short, it is a simple, solid product, without leaks thanks to the gaskets which ensure its tightness. it also offers an adjustable airflow, using a ring on the base, which turns very easily. All the threads are perfect and I had no problem with that.
The pine is assured classically by the resistance owner, which necessarily is not adjustable.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
The features of this Clearomizer are as simple as the product itself, with four big airflows on its base, it is made to sub-ohm vape and provide a nice vapor density, all on powers varying between 35 and 50W depending on the resistance used.
Side flavor, it is clearly not on a dripper, however, despite the type of atomizer, this Atlantis Evo pulls a lot to restore tastes appropriately. The flavors are slightly muffled, we do not perceive them distinctly, for my taste.
The capacity of 2ml is the weak point, because with this type of operation, your juice will evaporate at high speed "V".

The Atlantis Evo comes with a rather special proprietary drip-tip. This one is in the shape of a hat and fits on the top cap. Its PMMA material, it seems to me, reduces the heat of the coil to the lips, however, the attenuation is moderate, because by removing this drip-tip you can use a drip-tip of your choice which seems to me almost as effective. But the idea is ingenious.
A top-cap cover is provided with the atomizer, it is very easy to slip on and slightly edges the top of the Pyrex tank. Of course, this does not protect you from big falls, but when the set-up is reversed, as it happened to me, no problem, no breakage is to be deplored. A protection so effective and not at all ugly, quite the contrary, I even hope there are different colors, I loved!

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
For just over 20 euros, the packaging is well done. A box black cardboard sleeve whose top is equipped with a flap that contains the record and reveals a window on the atomizer.
Inside, we discover the atomizer already equipped with a resistance of 0.4Ω and the proprietary drip-tip, as well as the protection of the silicone top-cap. In addition, you will find a replacement Pyrex with a second proprietary 0.5Ω resistor.
The set is quite suitable for the asking price.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
using the EVO is really fun, you just have to screw the resistance on the base and the parts on the mod, then add the tank and fill the tank, before screwing the top-cap on the assembly.
Remember to close the airflow before filling, that said I did not notice any leak but a few drops may have escaped through the airflow when filling.
In use it takes a few minutes for the resistance imbibe well, but after several manipulations it is inevitable, the atomizer gurgles just a little after filling only.
The airflow is very easy to adjust and adapts perfectly to your vape. The possible vape powers vary between 35 and 50W as indicated on the instructions, providing a nice dense vapor and decent flavors.
The only fault I could make is the capacity of 2ml which is really too low because at 40W it consumes a lot… but when it's good…
I could only test the resistance of 0.5Ω because the other one, that of 0.4Ω shorted and did not work. I took the opportunity to disassemble and see if it was possible to redo it.
The answer is yes, with a few details:
The resistance in 0.4Ω is “claptonné” on a small central part of the resistive for three reasons: to lower the resistive value of this one, to allow a rapid heating and to use a thinner central wire in order to maintain it well on the pin. The diameter of the resistance is very large: 6mm, to offer an aerial pull, but if you redo your resistance, reduce this diameter a little to avoid the juice being splashed in the throat and remember to use a piece of coffee filter on the capillary, as shown in the tutorial you will find here

The mood ticket of the reviewer
To conclude, I find this atomizer very successful in its simplicity and efficiency. Close to a RBA sub-ohm double coil, it has nothing to envy. Both on the power of vape, for a beautiful production of steam, as for the restoration of flavors, which is very suitable.
Some proprietary resistance may be fragile, but it is possible to redo them with a little patience, if they were to release a Sunday for example (you can not materially get this day, but theoretically you have time to you look into the problem).
The Atlantis Evo has a fairly compact size that goes everywhere and Aspire has found a judicious system that reduces the heat of the coil to the lips, and a way to limit the breakage of the tank in case of shocks.
An atomizer very interesting and above all, powerful.
