the Arcabuz ……… .. a nice little mod not expensive at all from a Spanish moderator unfortunately not well known enough for my taste.
First thing: to book the experienced mechanics !!!!!!!!!!!!
Indeed, it arrives with two top caps (hybrid / semi hybrid) so the ato rests directly on the battery
no risk of short-circuit despite everything between the + of the battery and the top cap since there is a small plastic washer stuck on the top cap (improvement of V1.2)
let us come to the beast itself:
the tubes:
classics in 3 parts ……. 1 for the 18350, 1 extension for the 18650 and an extension for the kicker or 18500
the switch: here is the particularity of this mod
it is in fact a tube with a magnet in the bottom that we slide into the main tube
we place a magnet (2 sizes available for the length of the switch stroke) on the negative pole of the battery and oh magic! the two repel each other (yes, well, you have to put them on otherwise they stick together and that doesn't work eh!)
when you press the switch there is contact and voili voilou.
no locking system, so we will avoid carrying it around in the pocket or in the bag (for my part I put it in a small round toothpick box that prevents the switch from being triggered in the bag) on ​​the other hand you can put it on the table without any problem.
very nice point of this mod: the size
in 18650 with the Derringer it is the size of the body of Vapershock's revolver ………… and when it is in 18350 it measures only 46 mm it is therefore one of the smallest mods that exists with the hummingbird (the nectar would go very well above I think ………. toff if you can hear me 😉)
not much else to say about this mod which is not despite everything of exceptional quality but considering the price we can not ask too much either.
Note that Enrique (the moderator) regularly makes big promotions on his site (I had the brushed at 18 € and the brass at 12 € instead of 48 €) and that this model is available in an impressive number of finishes (polished, brushed, pearl, carbon …… ..)
so very good little mod from a moderator who besides this model makes superb atos and drippers not to mention his latest creation a BF wood box (bottom feeder) ……… .. to see during a next FT maybe if I take it 😉
