With the ACME line, IJOY intends to hit the market and play the role of the dog in the well orchestrated bowling game to date by Aspire and Kangertech.

The range will consist of several clearomizers and RBAs which will be totally dedicated to the needs and uses of the different categories of vapers (tight, airy vape, with or without substantial containers, power vaping, etc.). We are therefore no longer in the context of generalist atomizers, by definition “moderately good” for all uses, but on dedicated products, specially designed for a specific use, and whose avowed goal is to position ourselves in the lead, as a champion. of their respective category.

Today, we are reviewing the M version, intended for novice vapers or those who have stayed on Ego or Twist batteries and they are more numerous than you think (for this purpose I invite you to look around you in the rue… 90% of the vapers that you will meet are on this type of configuration).

This version is a Beta version and the final product which will reach the market at the end of the month will have received some improvements, for which the Vapelier team worked as advice to IJOY, through technical studies that we produced in order to qualify the limits of the products and to highlight even more the innovations imagined by the engineers of IJOY (Thanks again to TechVapeur, and to the whole team of IJOY for its confidence in giving us all the beta versions as soon as 'they were coming out of their testing lab in ShenZHen).

And precisely the ACME-M arrives with a good set of technical innovations quite capable of making a difference:

Therefore, the air intake is via the top cap, at 180 ° at an angle with the drip-tip on the basis of a reverse air flow!
Although not having had a clearomizer burst, I presume that the air drawn in passes through a bypass which directs it towards the chimney to the coil and that it then flows back into the central part accompanied by the vapor generated by the coil.

The ACME-M will be offered for sale towards the end of the month at a price between 12 and 15 € and is 16mm in diameter. What puts it in direct competition with the Aspire K1 or the mini Protank.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

First of all, the ACME-M Clearomiser seems to be made of chromed brass. Everything is perfectly assembled and presents a nice impression of solidity. Including the pyrex tank thick enough to withstand small harmless shocks. However, violent shocks must be avoided, the material itself is not really made for this, and this is valid for all manufacturers opting for this material ...

The airflow ring is perfectly functional and does its job very well. Soft enough to handle so you don't have to take out the multigrip pliers but strong enough not to turn on its own. It conceals a Cyclops type airhole (elongated oval) according to your desire, discovering it totally or in part. The decrease and increase in air flow is clearly noticeable as well as the changes in flavors that naturally accompany them.

The owner resistance is made of steel, so as not to conduct the temperature too quickly compared to brass or copper.
It has a positive contact mounted on a spring and plated brass.
It is very narrow, which according to the manufacturer, will favor the flavors.
It has four liquid supply holes of approximately 0.6mm each. This will rather be intended for low viscous liquids, which is good in view of the pro-beginner destination of the clearomiser. It contains a very tight microcoil (about 1mm) made of a resistive wire of 0.15mm (at nose sight) of 7 turns.
The assembly contains a silica wick and rests on a cotton nest placed in front of the liquid supplies and responsible for serving as a reserve airlock for the silica fiber. The value of the assembly is 2Ω.

Not much to say in this area. Aside from the positive spring-loaded connection and the small size of the resistor, the ACME-M has the functionality necessary for its intended use.
We can all the same note that, even while chaining the puffs, there is no release of heat from the lips and no more from the base of the clearomiser, which testifies efficient heat dissipation.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

It is with the use that one realizes the capacity of this clearomizer to fulfill its function while protecting its owner.
Although its autonomy is reduced, the ease of filling makes it usable all day without any risk.
Likewise, changing the resistance does not pose any particular problem. Even if the filling system by unscrewing the tank from the bottom cap and filling up to the maximum level of the chimney has become an archetype, it is clear that it is still very effective.

The good surprise lies in the TOTAL absence of leaks! Not a drop escapes from it, even by shaking it voluntarily in all directions. It is hermetic to a rare point at this price level.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

If you are a first-time vaporizer or even still a smoker and you are wondering about a material that is easy to use and has a good rendering, the ACME-M is for you.
Well thought out, well built, this clearomizer has an astonishing advantage for its category: its air circulation system, coupled with a high resistance and a very open drip-tip, indeed allows, depending on your airflow setting, to vape in the mouth or in direct inhalation! No need to push the power, it is easy by adjusting the setting, to switch from one to the other.
This seems to me to be an interesting advance in this category of material.

Of course, the volume of steam suffers and will become more important depending on how you regulate or vape.
When fully opened and in direct inhalation, the vapor is far from ridiculous and completely exceeds the direct competition.
With a tight opening and oral inhalation, the volume of steam will necessarily be lower but the rendering of flavors becomes sharper, sharper.
It's up to you to juggle all the possibilities to find your account.

This brings us to the negatives of this clearomizer. First of all, it will not exceed 11 or 11.5W.
You will inevitably have a taste of hot at higher powers and by chaining the puffs, you will achieve a dry-hit.
However, this defect must be tempered by reaffirming that this clearo was designed for beginners and that we rarely vape at this type of power when starting out....
This clearomizer is truly made to be accompanied by a variable voltage battery and not to exceed 4.4V.
On the other hand, at this power level, you will get a more than excellent volume of steam.

The quality of the flavors is very good, especially when you take care not to open the airflow fully.
Because in this case, given that the power range remains quite limited, you will not be able to make up for the loss of flavor by increasing the voltage (once again the M was not designed for that ... we are waiting for its little brothers who them, complete the range of uses of vape ...).

Ideally, this clearomizer will give full measure with a liquid in 70 / 30 proportions PG / VG and around 4.3V.
Which will give a power of 9.5W. And the miracle is that at this power, the ACME-M will be able to generate a very beautiful vapor and a precise restitution of flavors..

In summary, the new ACME range from IJOY looks promising and we can't wait to have the final product in our hands because this Beta version is anything but an additional gadget.
Typically “entry-level”, the ACME-M is recommended for your friends who are reluctant to get started in vaping or for those who are tired of spending their time wiping their set-up with paper towels.
