The ACME-L is, at least in terms of price, the highest placed of this range offered by Ijoy. In terms of autonomy also since it quietly gobbles up 4.5ml more or less. At this price, it is therefore positioned against the Subtank mini or the Delta 2 from Joyetech. On the other hand, the ACME-L, unlike its two competitors, does not offer this RBA chainring, either as standard or as an option, at least for now. It must be said that Ijoy has worked a lot on his proprietary coils and really thinks that they can easily replace a homemade assembly. Having noticed the power of ACME-VAPE in this area, the manufacturer is not far from succeeding in his bet. On the “L”, the coils are compatible with those of the Vape and vice versa.
There are two types of resistors for the “L”:
- The A1 is a rather traditional 1Ω dual-coil resistor, which, according to the manufacturer, behaves perfectly up to 25W.
- The A2 is a 0.5Ω double parallel-coil and will be able to navigate nicely up to 30W.
Of course, like the rest of the range, the “L” uses the same and atypical air circulation structure since the air is taken at the top cap, is led up to the resistance and then rises along the top. the chimney charged with steam. Which implies some form of habit to take. It's far from being unpleasant but a little disturbing at the start even if you get used to it very quickly.
Add to this the airflow adjustment which differs from the other models in the range since it is varied by turning the drip-tip.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
The execution is perfect and the L looks good. The finish is flawless and the mechanical parts work very well. With just a small downside to which we will come back later: the airflow adjustment by turning the drip-tip is well blocked when it is perfectly tight or perfectly loose but, in the intermediate positions, the drip-tip is wobbly and the setting is necessarily required to move on its own.
I remind you here that I have a pre-version in beta-test and I hope that Ijoy will make the appropriate changes for the commercialization.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
Not much to develop in this sector which we have not already mentioned above. If it is, that in the current state of the airflow adjustment, the difference between the two extremes is really minimal, much more than on the other elements of the range and it can even be difficult to define if the draft adjustment is really functional. We feel a very slight difference between the two opposites but, in the middle, it is the great artistic blur. In his concern for doing too well, I think Ijoy forgot that sometimes simplicity is the best possible solution.
For me, the airflow setting as it is there, on my copy, is more of a gadget than a successful functionality. I would add that the clearo is noisy on suction, which is astonishing and a shame, being the only one in the range to behave like this.

The drip tip is proprietary and there is no way to change it. It consists of a narrow thread and a seal. As much on the Vape, it is possible to replace the drip-tip, as the L skips this opportunity. Too bad even if the drip-tip seems adapted to the possibilities of the machine by being simple, pretty and quite pleasant in the mouth.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging, identical to that of the Vape of the same range is quite consistent and pretty. The box is made of hard cardboard and has a very dense foam which allows the transport in the correct conditions of safety.
The user manual is pleasant, succinct but comprehensive, and has self-explanatory diagrams that allow those who think Hugo's language as interesting as Shakespeare's to follow the directions.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
In use, even if the ACME-L is quite easy to live with, I have a mixed impression which holds in two points:
- The ineffectiveness of the airflow adjustment which is disabling.
- The possibility of filling from above, nice on paper, but which remains in practice more restrictive to use.
It seems, frankly speaking, that Ijoy felt the need, in addition to concrete innovations and working perfectly on the other models in the range, to add gadget features to justify the price of the L or even its existence against a Vape fundamentally more successful. It's disturbing, especially since the L would have, in my opinion, worked much better by retaining the attributes of the others than by endowing itself with these two possibilities which only weaken an otherwise well-thought-out structure.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Let's be clear, the ACME-L is a big disappointment. After having successfully tested the VAPE of the same range and the same brand, I expected, with the most expensive of them, a super slap. But this clearomizer is totally unfinished in the state and will not meet the expectations of Subtank or Atlantis enthusiasts, nor those of Joyetech Delta 2 fanatics. For an identical or even higher price, the L does not have a sufficiently constant and voluptuous rendering to claim to seek neither the first place nor even to be at the foot of the podium.
The steam is far from impressive and the L is beaten flat on this ground by these competitors. As for the flavor, it is to match, imprecise and not exciting for a penny.
To this is grafted a design which visibly lacks clarity and which preferred to favor the event rather than the quality of the rendering.
But there is worse. It is to note that in the same range, there is a formidable challenger in the person of the VAPE which is not only up to the level of vapor volume but in addition allows itself to unbolt its main competitors in the field of flavor. By the way, he also debunks the L which looks poor against his little brother. The fight is so unequal that it ends in a knockout! VAPE: 1, L: 0.
The question then arises of the interest of having, within the same range of the same brand two clearomizers at such a close price, one of which is a future bestseller and the other an announced failure, at least. in its current state.
