Ehpro is back with his own style that marks this atomizer, the Achilles Tank.
Class!… The look is typical of Ehpro with this tapered top-cap but it is also a proud and superior appearance that emerges from this tank. Achilles, the aptly named, offers two different looks, with or without armor as the resemblance to the Greek helmet is undeniable. Indeed, Ehpro offers the pyrex tank, entirely transparent or the steel tank which protects this atomizer while magnifying it.
Beyond appearance, we have a double proposal for this atomizer: sub-ohm clearomizer or rebuildable single coil. Obviously, this choice will be according to your desire or the mod on which Achilles will enthrone because its base is still 24,5mm. The capacity, meanwhile, will be different depending on the option RTA or not, since in clearomiseur the capacity of liquid will be 3,5ml while in rebuildable you will have only 2ml reserve.
This is for the first apparent options because, in use, the versatility of this atomizer is limited by its capabilities, it is not necessarily negative on the contrary but restrictive for those who wish to acquire the Achilles for performance that he could not not offer.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
For an entry-level product, I remain stunned because overall, all parts are impeccable in terms of machining. The engravings are perfect, without burrs and the threadings fit together very well. The seals are sufficient to ensure proper sealing.
On the basis of this Achilles, the airflow is adjustable via a pivoting ring which has a stop, the opening offers two spaces of 15mm on 2mm to obtain a good suction capacity in sub-ohm but it also knows how to restrict itself to smaller space until the total closure.
The pine remains fixed and it is a shame because on a mechanical tube of 24,5 mm (or 25mm) the Achilles looks great but may not be flush with the mod, unless the pin of the tube lends itself to adjustment.
Overall, it's really a beautiful atomizer without major defects and solid, however, although the threads work well, I have some reluctance at the top-cap when I want to fill my tank, because the catch is not easy and it sometimes takes me some time to unscrew.

The functional characteristics of this atomizer are either a powerful sub-ohm vape, distributed by a proprietary 0.2Ω resistor that allows you to power on between 40 and 60W, or a more classic vape with the RBA board that can accommodate a single resistance to build but it must be greater than 1Ω, to avoid the risk of dry hit.
On the proprietary resistance, the vape rendering is excellent, both on the flavors and on the density of the steam, but be careful because consumption suffers.
The RBA tray is very easy to work, only one resistor is useful but to keep a good air circulation, it is better to realize a coil of 1.5Ω. Despite this, the rendering remains average.
The airflow allows an adjustment of the air circulation adapted to the vape of the vaper.
The atomizer also offers the possibility of placing a drip-top in 810 format for an even more aerial vape.
The pin remains fixed and can not always adapt to certain types of mods, especially mechanical.
The greatest quality of this Achilles is its simplicity of use.

The supplied drip-tip is ideal for finishing the warlike look of the Achilles.
Medium and straight, made of stainless steel on a black PMMA adapter, it goes very well with the rest of the product and stays comfortable in the mouth. The PMMA adapter helps reduce heat if necessary, but in reality the resistor does not really heat up. It is especially convenient to have a standard format 510.
However, you can also remove the drip-tip and its adapter to get an 810 format. So I tested the drip-top with the proprietary resistance sub-ohm, the format is more suitable with this wider opening for a large suction.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging is good, the box remains classic black card relatively solid. The well-tuned atomizer is protected by a foam. It is already equipped with a proprietary resistor, the 1Ω EL1B-0.2. This atomizer is accompanied by an additional stainless steel tank and an RBA plate to allow the reconstruction of the resistance.
There are also two separate pouches, one with a pre-assembled resistor and capillary, the other contains a small screwdriver, replacement screws for the pads and many seals.
A user guide accompanies the product but it is only in English.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The use, as I mentioned above, is really simple.
For "Clearomizer" use, there is only one proprietary resistor to screw on the base, wait two minutes after filling and vape.
The filling is also very convenient. Unscrewing the top-cap, the opening is large enough to supply the tank regardless of the vial proposed on the market. The most complicated to do is to succeed in unscrewing this top-cap because its shape does not lend itself to a good grip during unscrewing. This operation remains the same with the supplied RBA tray.
This tray is also relatively easy to work. It only needs a single resistance, once the legs fixed in the studs, the capillary is instinctively placed in the notches provided.
In practice I encountered some small problems:
The use with the proprietary resistance is fabulous, I love its dense steam and its taste that seduced me, only when I sought where to refuel in resistance, I had a big problem, I do not have not found, so if you manage to provide, think long term and take a good amount, they are the same resistance as the kit Ehpro Amor EL1B-1. It's too bad !
The RBA tray is therefore useful to remedy the lack of proprietary resistance. Only if the resistive of large diameter is possible, the dry-hit will be guaranteed. Because during use, a simple resistance of 1,2Ω led me to the saturation of the capillary. It was necessary to unclog the place destined for cotton to finally not have these saturations and vaper normally.
A badly organized board that does not allow to be used with big powers. Plus the flavors are average, the taste is reasonable but I did not really feast like the resistance owner.
The only positive point, will be for consumption, because at 1.5Ω, the reduced capacity of the tank at 2ml is sufficient.
Another inconvenience of this Achilles, it is an erratic behavior, cuts of contact between the resistance and the pine come to oppose the vape, it is necessary to screw all the parts thoroughly to have a constant contact. I'm afraid that in the long run this one will become more capricious.
On the other hand, good or bad idea, it will be up to you to judge, I did not observe any leak on this atomizer, and for good reason, under the level of the airflow, the surplus of liquid which could possibly escape the Atomizer tends to stagnate on the bottom of this tank, then a small amount escapes through the pine. While the amount is minimal but it remains a disadvantage that must be regularly overcome by removing the ato mod and passing a small cloth at the end of the day.
So much for the good and bad surprises of Achilles.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
Of a flattering appearance, Ehpro proposes us a magnificent achievement with Achilles.
Its robustness and elegance are out of the ordinary for a clearomiser, yet I still have a taste of unfinished that has trouble passing. As clearomizer this atomizer is perfect, a good rendering, superb flavors, a correct power and a capacity of 3,5ml which is suitable, but where can one find the resistors EL1B-1?
It's complicated indeed, to keep this product on long term if the consumable is not available.
It remains the proposed RBA plateau, but here it is, it does not offer the same vape, or the same taste, with a few bonuses inadvertent. Yet with small research and improvement efforts, this atomizer could be one of the best.
A product that could make the happiness of many vapers but which unfortunately will remain a frustration by its uncorrected details.
