Reviewer comments on business characteristics

The vaposher is a fascinating world for geeks that we all are. Not a week without new material coming out. Not a month without a technological breakthrough. We remain in ambush permanently in order to find the latest fashionable thing that will be able to bring us even closer to our personal Grail. It's a bit like the world of cell phones except that it's even more alive, more changing, more exhilarating.

Of course, in the cohort of ideas emerging from the manufacturer's cornucopia, not all are great, and for three steps forward, you often take two steps back. But the fact is and remains: the vape advances. Towards more practicality, more sanitation, more ergonomics.

It is with a view to a great practical evolution that Aspire offers us its Quad-Flex Survival Kit. Indeed, here is a product that offers you, in a simple and almost fun way, four atomizers that you can build with all the parts provided. There is an RDTA, quite classic, a normal dripper with airholes at the bottom facing the resistors, a bottom-feeder dripper with the airholes at the top as well as a Nautilus X, a clearomiser that we no longer present. All this is therefore available for € 58.90. If you add up each atomizer, you will happily exceed € 100, so you can capture the savings made. How is it possible ?

sucks-quadflex-RDTA-bursts

Well, it's so simple that you had to think about it! The kit provides us with a set of thirteen pieces, compatible with each other, which, according to your choice of the moment, will be used to assemble a particular type of atomizer. By reducing the number of parts, an economy of scale is achieved which makes it possible to sell the product at the price of almost a single atomizer. An excellent idea, therefore, which allows nomads, in a single box, to carry with them all the possible range of atos. It's almost the egg of Christopher Columbus!

It is also necessary, of course, for the implementation to be easy and above all for the result in terms of rendering to be unequivocal. This is what we are going to see now.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality

Let's take a first look at the quality of the whole.

We therefore end up with stainless steel parts, well finished, the various assemblies being facilitated by threads of excellent quality. The assemblies are very correct for the price category and there is no shame in the overall finish. Of course, the thickness of the materials is not exceptional but everything holds together very well and gives a qualitative impression.

A good part of the parts are in delrin, in particular those which play an active role in the cooling. Again, no bad surprises, it's well done. Some interlocking is done using O-rings perfectly chosen for the role they have to play and others by screwing. In all cases, we get very clean results that hold well.

sucks-quadflex-spares-2

The pyrex reservoir, common to the use of the RDTA and the clearomiser, is of good quality, quite thick. It does not have any particular protection in either of the two cases, also beware of falls, but we notice the presence of a spare pyrex, in a “frosted” finish in case. A priori, there should be no problem obtaining spare parts since the tank is the same as the one used by the Nautilus X.

The different atomizers, once assembled, have the same characteristic of lightness and contained dimensions. The diameter is the same for everyone: 22mm, which will stick well with all the nomadic mods on the market.

In summary and in short, a very correct finish, especially in view of the nice price of the whole.

Reviewer's comments on functional features

In terms of functionality, there are people at the gate. It's the least we can say.

First of all, it is important to understand the method since we will have to play the construction game to assemble our different atos.

In the packaging, each part is identified by a letter. In front of you, on the cover, you have the four possible construction diagrams with the list of the letters of the parts and their locations. It is therefore extremely easy to find your bearings by following the diagrams and putting the unusual parts in their place in the pack. Building an atomizer takes no more than a minute and again, for the most complex of them.

Of course, you will never have four atos mounted at the same time. Only one will be possible since the different parts can be used for several atomizers.

RDTA:

He presents himself a bit like an Avocado. Velocity type plate, compulsory double-coil, four plunge holes to lower your capillary into the reservoir. Nothing complex here. The airflow is adjustable by the upper ring of the top-cap which circulates a delrin wall in the steel tube. The two Cyclops-type airholes are positioned just in front of the resistors, and you can not do otherwise (and fortunately) because two lugs lined with two silkscreened arrows indicate where to position your top-cap.

The assembly is very simple and the tray will accommodate complex threads without problem. The passage of cotton is also simple, only the fact of pushing the capillary into the plunge holes can possibly be problematic if you have put too much but not more than the vast majority of atomizers working in the same way. For the RDTA, I used Fiber Freaks D1 in order to take advantage of the exceptional fluid transport speed of this fiber and since there is no need, in this specific case, to keep the liquid in the fibrous body, like on a dripper.

The filling is a little more delicate since it will necessarily involve a vial with a needle or a syringe. Indeed, it will be necessary to go through the plunge holes to fill the ato, no orifice being provided for this sole function. In the worst case, you can also unscrew the plate and fill the tank directly. But it remains random even if it works because you risk moving the cotton or getting part of it stuck in the central screwed element which serves as a link between the plate and the bottom-cap.

The cooling of the whole is ensured by the use of a drip-tip delrin tray, the famous double delrin wall which also serves to hide the airholes and a very open airflow. You will be able to use very calorific exotic assemblies without problem.

THE DRIPPER:

By using the RDTA top-cap, the Velocity plate and a new part which serves as a bottom-cap, you have your dripper in 30 seconds! This one is therefore classic, in double coil necessarily and takes advantage of the generosity already noticed before of the airflow. The airholes are therefore positioned in front of your resistances according to the same principle of lug and arrows.

Of course, do not expect a large capacity for carrying juice, there is not really a tank worthy of the name but the four plunge holes communicate with a fairly narrow pool and if you place your cotton well, autonomy is not ridiculous. The filling is traditionally carried out either by removing the top-cap or by the drip-top directly.

In the same way as on the RDTA, we notice a very correct cooling, even at high power (tested up to 100W), due to the same causes: the presence of delrin and a generous airflow.

I used Cotton Bacon for the dripper for its ability to capture liquid in its fibers and swell enough to serve as a reservoir itself.

THE DRIPPER BF:

It consists of the same top, the same drip-top and the part serving as the bottom-cap. On the other hand, we use a new part for the top-cap and the specific screw which will allow the connector 510 to convey the liquid.

The new top-cap has the particularity of having the air intakes on the top. The internal structure making it possible to convey the air below the resistors then to convey the vapor towards the drip-top. Why such a choice ? Undoubtedly to avoid leaks in the event of too much liquids arriving on the tray from a too manly squonk!

sucks-quadflex-dripper

THE CLEAROMIZER:

No surprises, this is the Nautilus X that we no longer present. Not from any copy, it is the Nautilus X in question here, with its proprietary 1.8Ω resistance and its lack of airflow adjustment.

To mount it, we get the pyrex of the RDTA, the base of the bottom-cap of the RDTA, we add the resistance and the new top-cap now famous and voila. Simplissime!

The filling requires the unscrewing of the top-cap, like a Nautilus that you would have bought separately and the capacity is 2ml.

Drip-Tip Features

  • Type of drip-tip attachment: Owner but passage to 510 through an adapter not supplied
  • Presence of a Drip-Tip? Yes, the vaper can immediately use the product
  • Length and type of drip-tip present: Short with heat evacuation function
  • Quality of the drip-tip present: Very good

Reviewer's comments on the Drip-Tip

Depending on the type of atomizer chosen, you will have access to a generously sized drip-top (for RDTAs and different drippers) or to the Nautilus proprietary drip-tip. In both cases, these drip-tips are made of delrin or contain delrin and therefore have the particularity of heating less than steel drip-tips.

For the most demanding, no fear, you also have an adapter provided allowing you to use the 510 drip-tip of your choice.

Evaluation of the packaging

  • Presence of a box accompanying the product: Yes
  • Would you say that the packaging is up to the price of the product? Yes
  • Presence of a user manual? Yes
  • Is the manual understandable for a non-English speaker? Yes

Reviewer's comments on conditioning

We should not miss this chapter, given the complexity of the proposal even if the implementation is childish. Aspire has therefore assured the blow by delivering everything in a magnetic black cardboard box.

When you open the hood, you are therefore faced with the panoply of different parts (the RDTA is already mounted), all identified by a letter. On the cover itself and in front of you (practical), you therefore have the explanatory diagrams of the different atomizers and their construction by following the letters given.

aspires quadflex-pack

In addition to the parts, the pack contains a small carton with many spare seals, 4 screws for the velocity, two preformed clapton coils, a cotton pad and a BTR key.

Of course, you have an 1.8Ω resistance supplied to mount your Nautilus.

The packaging is therefore complete and provides everything necessary to operate immediately. The notion of Survival Kit is therefore not usurped in the least.

Appreciations in use

  • Transport facilities with mod of test configuration: Ok for an inside jacket pocket (no deformations)
  • Disassembly and cleaning facilities: Easy, even standing in the street, with a simple tissue paper
  • Filling facilities: Not easy, even taking time
  • Easy to change resistors: Easy but requires a workspace to lose nothing
  • Is it possible to use this product throughout the day with several vials of EJuice? Yes perfectly
  • Was there leak after one day of use? No
  • In the event of leaks during the tests, descriptions of the situations in which they occur:

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product

Generally, we saw that this whole little family of atomizers was easy to assemble. If we except the somewhat rustic filling of the RDTA, we do not notice anything that could be detrimental to an excellent user experience. We will therefore focus on the rendering of each member.

RDTA:

Mounted in steel wire on 3mm in double coil for an overall resistance of 0.30Ω, the RDTA is flexible and very responsive. However, the airflow is so large that we quickly go to a good set of clapton to try to titillate the machine and push it to its limits. A few minutes later, we are finally in paradise. The Aspire RDTA works very well with this type of resistive and the airflow is perfect for supplying large assemblies.

The rendering is therefore powerful and gives pride of place to a very dense vapor. The flavors are not left out, however, and the precision is appreciable. But what is most striking is the perfect marriage between incoming air and the capacity of large assemblies to generate steam. Particularly suitable for gourmet juices, this set is tastefully correct and generates very good sensations. Much better than a single wire, regardless of size, which seems too exposed to the air to do its best. Strangely, the RDTA is therefore more naturally worn for use with large multi-strand assemblies.

In return, the 2ml go quickly in steam, as you can imagine, but the sensations and the fullness of the steam make sure that we do not regret it.

THE DRIPPER:

With the same editing, we quickly take turns. The dripper is interesting, rather typed flavors but not neglecting however to rise strong for a beautiful white steam. The rendering is compact, tasty and roundness is here. Although benefiting from the same plateau, the same set-up and the same top-cap, the flavors are even more precise, proof that gravity still makes the difference between an RDTA and a RDA.

If we are not however on an exceptional dripper, it is still very far from shaming its corporation and, in view of the price of the whole, can provide many services on the move.

sucks-quadflex-spares

 THE DRIPPER BF:

I was a little apprehensive about testing this one in view of the air intakes located on the top of the top-cap. Well, very strangely, the opposite is happening. The aromas are saturated, very strong in taste and the rendering becomes even more interesting than with the normal dripper.

This is probably the best surprise, in my opinion, of the lot. If the rest works very well, we have here a very well calibrated BF dripper designed to enhance the flavors. Little or no loss of steam and a demonic taste for the price category.

As for the bottom-feeding itself, it behaves well and the liquid comes to the point on the board as it should.

I only regret one thing about the drippers, which is that the manufacturer has not provided an anti-splash grid in the drip-tip. By rising high in power and if we let ourselves go a little on the juice, we gain some unpleasant postilions. But it is a peripheral effect which passes quickly when the quantity of liquid is normalized.

THE CLEARO:

Not surprisingly, we had the same rendering as a Nautilus X and for good reason, it is!

Tight draw with 13W power to make the flavors to the line and a nice steam for the regulars of this type of vape or beginners. The result is superb and still sits the Nautilus reputation as clearo in normal vape.

Easy to get along with, filling and vaping, this is a must-have for those who like tight vape.

The mood ticket of the reviewer

The Quad-Flex set offered by Aspire was attractive on paper with its proposal of four atos in one. After testing, it seems obvious that what could have turned into a game of massacre was a gamble that the manufacturer won with flying colors.

It's simple, we are very well guided in the assembly of the various possibilities, the parts are easy to locate and the rendering of each of the atomizers is quite surprising. Moreover, there is no poor relation here, all the atomizers present behave very well in their respective framework and there is undoubtedly the success of Aspire: not to have made concessions on the quality of the renderings.

Beginner, intermediate or confirmed vaporizer, everyone will find what they are looking for, especially since the price remains very interesting and respectful of the consovapeurs.

What deserves, by so much consistency, a Top Ato with regard to the novelty of the proposal and the quality of its realization.
