A big like Smok can not miss the craziness of the Pod. This specialist of the big vape does not shine particularly on the market of the primo Vapoteur but with the North Kit, the Chinese giant is likely to be more present.
A system composed of a Pod with a capacity of 3ml on which a 0.6Ω DL inspiration resistance or an MTL type resistance can be adapted. This Pod will be associated with a 1100mAh battery which delivers a constant current.
As for the price, this new small kit is in a good position at less than 25 €.
We start obviously on interesting bases, remains to verify if the real is in adequacy with the promise.

Smok We therefore propose to start in the vape by following the NORTH. It comes in the form of a small elongated paving stone, stripped of any form of sharp edge.
The front and rear sides are slightly domed. They are both covered with a plastic plate with a vitrified appearance that takes up the weft of the reptile skin pattern so dear to Smok.
One of the two accommodates the plastic switch. Rectangular in shape, it is pierced with a slot in its center, this small opening lets glimpse the light signal of an LED.
The frame is made of metal, it is curved on its edges, the upper part of the battery receives the Pod. Three small pins ensure contact at the bottom of the housing.
Once in place, the visible part of the Pod takes the form of a long and flat “beak”. On each side, a small ovoid shaped sight seems to be placed there to allow to have a vision on the level of E-liquid.
On the other hand, the bottom of the “stick” is flattened, there is the micro USB port.
At first glance, this new product from the Chinese firm Smok presents rather well, it does not jouscule any visual code but it offers a nice finish and consensual lines all-purpose.

Smok chose a simple product that offers just the basics.
A battery of 1100 mAh which delivers a constant current, of the basic one but a good capacity of load in view of the jig.
NORTH has a Cut off at 8s, protection against excessive battery discharge, protection against short circuits, in short, the arsenal essential for a safe vape.
The Pod offers a capacity of 3ml, it fills through a small hole closed by a small silicone plug located on the side. Two resistors are possible, a traditional MTL of 1.4Ω and a mesh DL of 0.6Ω.
No screen, the only indicator is the LED placed in the switch, the color that animates it will give you an idea of the charge level.
A simple kit that combines essential functions.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
A small black box with drawer serves as a North kit. As often, there is a picture of the Kit and right next to it, a series of small 4 pictograms indicating product-specific features.
On the back of the box, we find the contents of the box as well as the normative logos as usual.
In the box are the kit, two resistors (an 0.6Ω DL and a 1.4Ω MTL) and a manual but Smok unfortunately did not find it useful to translate it into multiple languages, so you will only have English.
A simple presentation but quite correct given the price.
Appreciations in use

Like all products of this “species”, this new Set-up is very easy to take everywhere, it fits easily in a pocket. The ergonomics are good and the grip comfortable.
Le North part is very easy to use. The inalterable 5 clicks to start or stop, add the double-click to find out where the battery is and here are all the commands to know to operate this kit.
The Pod is extracted simply by pulling on it. On the side is the filler cap. You just need to remove it to be able to fill the 3ml reservoir. This operation is simple to perform, the opening without being huge is quite comfortable.
The Vape that delivers this machine is of good level whether in DL or MTL. The tastes are quite well respected, it is well positioned for a beginner's kit. The production of steam is quite suitable, nothing to say.
The autonomy is good, the North part is one of the Pod Kits which has one of the biggest charging capacities with 1100mAh.
It will be better with resistance to 1.4 Ω but it remains correct even with the 0.6 Ω.
Charging is fast, it takes a little over an hour.
A simple and effective product that fits well in its category.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
As a great generalist that he is, Smok had to propose a Set-up to Pod.
So I'll be honest, for myself Smok is capable of the worst as well as the best, I find that the Chinese sometimes get lost in his productive frenzy.
When I saw this Set-up for the first time, I found it nice to look at but the cobra decor, even if it is pretty, put me on my guard. Indeed, this kind of flashy little effect sometimes tends to hide a product of little interest, produced in a hurry and which is only intended for a quick passage on the market.
In addition, this mouthpiece, duckbill style, doesn't get me excited either, it's not ugly but I'm not a fan of this type of thing and I find it a little too big.
So, I completely disregard my prejudices and I fill the Pod on which I put the DL resistance. And there, after waiting for the ten minutes regulation, I pull a puff.
Not bad, not bad, it works well and the flavors are present, let's see in the long term. Surprisingly, it works well, it is quite reliable and it is easy to use, it will just be necessary to avoid chaining the puffs with too much frequency because as always with the pre-built resistors that tends to either go to the dry hit or gurgling.
I continue with a resistance in MTL and there, I am well, the vape suits me and the autonomy increases, I am in heaven.
To end with a more serious speech, I would say that this product has all the qualities of a Set-up Pod, it is easy to use and compact.
Perfect for beginners, it is quite reliable and efficient, the sensations are good and it is in the high average of this category.
Frankly, I'm pleasantly surprised, this North part is really good, the price is right and its qualities crush his little flaws.
Un Top Mod deserved for Smok who was visibly in a good inspiration the day when sprung from the creative whirlwind of our Chinese friends what North part.
