It is through atomizers that Fumytech made a sensational entry into the vaping market with a Dragon Ball that could cringe a few teeth in its obvious borrowing from the well-known manga franchise but which above all seduced by its unusual shape and expressive rendering. We therefore wish this newcomer to the manufacturers' round the best for the future.
Today is a dripper that will take us a few minutes. This is the Mini Cyclon, RDA of 22mm and little brother of the Cyclon, which culminates at 25mm in diameter. A modest dripper at the level of its tariff which places it in the entry level in the matter.
Operating strictly in double coil, the Mini Cyclon therefore intends to exist in a category already very well equipped, if only by its friendly price and its apparent quality of manufacture. Will it be up to the challenges in terms of production and tasting, it is the goal of this test to define it.

Reviewer's comments on physical characteristics and perceived quality
Available in four colors and finishes, the Mini Cyclon presents well and allows itself a nice aesthetic which is largely due to the presence of streaks on its body. The concept is not new, it was initiated in its time by Vicious Ant with the Cyclone AFC but is still effective and allows the atomizer to stand out from the crowd of many drippers by this particularity which, moreover, sticks quite well. to his surname.
Three distinct parts make up its anatomy, visible on the drawing of the ato.
At the top, we have a single block the drip-tip and the top-cap which holds by an O-ring. Some might regret that this outfit is not more marked because, indeed, it is very easy to lift this part. Even if I am aware of possible incidents in the event of storage in a bag for example, I quite like that it is so because filling is facilitated. Indeed, there is no need to pass the drops through the drip-tip if the top-cap is easy to extract and we thus have better visibility of what we are doing. However, I refer everyone to their own preferences in the matter knowing that a drip-tip has never been thought of to lift a mod plus atomizer assembly either ... 😉
The second part consists of a removable double-walled tube which therefore acts as a body. Pierced by two air intakes located in front of the resistors, it is screwed on the base and it must be admitted that the assembly is successful since as a result, the airholes are exactly where they should be. The internal wall slides easily to close them according to your desire for airflow.
The lower part is therefore a base which consists of a fairly standard velocity plate and an airflow ring which makes it possible to adjust the airflow of two other airholes located below the resistors. We are already beginning to see that the overall airflow will be quite generous.
The level of perceived quality is very correct, especially if it is compared to the price and the adjustments are made with care. The threads are a bit hard but pose no real mechanical problems. Ditto for seals that do their job efficiently. It should be noted that the connection pin is in gold-plated brass for good conductivity and better resistance over time.
On balance, we have here a serious construction and a particular aesthetic that are two assets to attract a particular clientele of very fussy vapers in these two areas.

The functionality of a dripper is, by nature, quite limited. They must therefore be impeccable in their implementation.
What do we ask a dripper in this sense? A precise and easy adjustment of the air flow to adapt it to its type of vape. Here, the contract is fulfilled beyond expectations since there are indeed four air intakes, adjustable two by two. The first pair is therefore located in front of the resistors, the second operates via two nozzles located on the plate, below the center of your coils. We therefore have a generous and above all precisely adjustable air flow which will greatly influence the rendering.
We also ask a dripper to have a minimum of liquid carrying capacity so as not to have to recharge it with each puff. This is the case here with a tank depth in the “standard”, even if we have been able to know much better in the genre. But it remains honest. In use, it is true that the dripper does not ask for his bottle too often ...
If the volume of vapor can be guessed quite easily, compared to the possible air flow, we can also ask a dripper to have a good restitution of flavors. It is even, in general, one of these essential characteristics. The manufacturer therefore cut the inside of the top-cap into a dome, a string known enough to obtain a good concentration of the taste. Even if the height of the interior of the plate-body block is not negligible, we are entitled to think that the diameter of 22mm will allow a correct development on this point.
The interesting presence of a connection pin pierced in its center provided in addition in the packaging will also allow bottom-fedding. An undeniable plus in the functionalities allowed.

The drip-tip is therefore proprietary since it is an integral part of the top-cap. With a flared upward shape, it is pleasant on the palate and very thick in substance.
It has an interesting feature, that of being able to be surmounted by a 510 drip-tip in case its proposal does not suit you. Clever, even if in this case, your construction game will still gain height, to the detriment of a maintained temperature of the steam. But the choice remains open, which is always better.

A black cardboard box, quite classy and stamped with the effigy of the dripper and the brand serves as a case for the Mini Cyclon and a bag of parts fairly well provided. Judge by yourself :

No instructions but just an exploded view of the dripper in diagram to help you with the assembly / disassembly. This is not much even if it is necessary to put into perspective by thinking that this type of material, more intended for experienced vapers, can therefore do without unnecessary verbiage. However, it must be imagined that a beginner in rebuildable always needs to be accompanied, even in the category of RDA and, if the blogs, sites and forums do their job of helping, it would not be superfluous that the manufacturers. also do.

Reviewer's comments on the use of the product
The assembly of the resistors as well as the installation of the capillary do not call for any particular comments. It's simple, velocity requires, and it is easy to balance the heating of the coils. The size of the plate and the holes for fixing the legs allows the use of large diameter wires or complex wires. Likewise, it will be possible to work on fairly large coil axes.
The airflow adjustment, upper and lower, is childish and the resistance of the rings has been well balanced, between correct handling and ease of operation.
So now is the time to talk about the rendering in terms of vapor volume and flavors.
Here, the Mini Cyclon has made a choice and is assuming it. It is indeed the vapor which is clearly favored. The dripper is even gifted in the matter and develops Fukushimiesque clouds, with a beautiful texture. The credit is based on the multiplicity of airholes which allows a significant air supply and good distribution on all sides of the coils.
Upper and lower airflow open, it is the mist assured in your room and the reproaches of Mr. or Mrs. your half assured! On the other hand, the restitution of flavors is quite weak, the taste drowns a little in the internal cyclone and does not convince.
By closing off the lower airflow, we lose a little volume of steam but ultimately not enough and the flavors remain superficial, not precise and sharp enough.
By closing the upper airholes and using only the lower airholes, you gain flavor all the same, which seems quite normal. The vapor drops a little in volume but becomes more textured and tangible.
To obtain a satisfactory flavor / vapor compromise, it is therefore necessary to play between the multiple possible air flow settings. Personally, it was the unique use of the lower air intakes that convinced me the most.
Otherwise, the Mini Cyclon behaves well in use. It tends to heat up after a few puffs and a very long puff causes an increase in the temperature of the drip-tip which then tingles the lips.
A mixed record which, if it is more than flattering in terms of steam generation, is less convincing in taste.

The mood ticket of the reviewer
For a first insertion in the very private circle of drippers, Fumytech holds its place correctly. The Mini Cyclon is well built, pretty, cheap and sends very heavy weather level!
On the other hand, it will be necessary in the future for the manufacturer to work on a better exploitation of flavors in order to make its RDA truly irremovable. It is possible because the bases are good and it only remains to refine a little to allow the aromas to reach their full yield.
A rather positive conclusion but there is still a little work to confront the best.
