Comments on the packaging

Today, it is in the Flavor Power catalog that we are going to draw and savor a seasonal juice: The Kilwa from the FMR range which is, as its play on words suggests, an ephemeral range. Yes I know, here I am repeating myself, it must be the age ... The new products of the Flavor Power catalog are attributed to this collection - with purple labels - in a PG / VG ratio of 50/50 to then be transposed into the 50 / collection 50 classic, the one with white labels.

Packaged in a 10 ml transparent plastic bottle, Kilwa is available in several levels of nicotine and therefore in 50/50 of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. The flask is provided with a fine tip which should allow easy filling of all the devices.

The description of this juice is rather attractive, by the 35 ° which reigns today: “Association of the acidity of a green apple with the sweetness of ripe fruit: strawberries, apricots and peaches."

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

In the safety register, everything is present on the bottle, demonstrating once again that our national manufacturers have long been concerned about the information provided to vapers.

On the health aspects, I will be more critical. Whether an e-liquid contains water or ethanol, that's fine. It is a choice of the manufacturer. But that the labeling does not mention it and that the discovery occurs when reading the Flavor Power website, it is more of a shame, especially since the brand is among the most serious in the territory. Undoubtedly an oversight to repair on this specific range. Of course, the harmlessness or harmfulness of these elements has not been demonstrated even if it is quite possible to design juices without them.

Of course, this involves a heavy and costly modification of the manufacturing process, but I think that in the ambient and deleterious environment of our vaping sphere, we would be all the better for it. Of course, this is a personal opinion and some of my colleagues at Vapelier have a different vision

Appreciation of the packaging

Comments on the packaging

The packaging does not lend itself to criticism even if I find that the visuals cause a feeling of uniformity.

Nevertheless, it is clean, clear and all the mentions are present. Advantage of its defect, the packaging of Flavor Power products allows immediate visual recognition when you enter an unfamiliar shop and are looking for “your” beverage. Which is not the least practical.

Comments on the taste of the juice

In the sense of smell, I especially feel the green apple. Clearly, it takes precedence over the rest of the aromatic mixture. I sharpen my olfactory senses to go in search of the rest of the recipe but nothing else seems to me so acutely.

As generally, I also taste a small drop on the back of the hand (not to reproduce at home!) And there, I have more sensations, with an aftertaste, my time, not unpleasant at all.

With the vape, if one feels there again that the green apple is put forward - will of its creator - I manage to detect the continuation. The very fashionable marriage of apricot and peach is present, that of strawberries more tenuous but noticeable.

The assembly is rather well balanced and above all vapes very well. I particularly appreciate its well-measured length on the palate as well as the outstanding flavors on my palate.

An equally important element for those around us, this Kilwa causes mists with a pleasant smell and it is on this point that the strawberry aroma is felt the most.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 40 W
  • Type of vapor obtained at this power: Dense

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

For this Kilwa, I recommend a cold vapor as usual for fruity liquids. Nevertheless, this juice being more, in my opinion, greedy than fresh and fruity, a slight warmth will not alter it.

This chapter is subjective since it is mainly based on my feelings. So I appreciated the Kilwa more on measured powers. I carried out my tests on a Zenith double coil dripper and I found the marriage more harmonious under 45W. The rise in temperature has the effect of unbalancing the whole and pushing the green apple. For fans of this fruit, my recommendations will obviously not be valid.

The vapor is quite consistent for a 50/50 liquid and the hit is light for a dosage of 03 mg / ml of nicotine.

This ratio of PG / VG will also allow you to easily vape this juice in the vast majority of atomizers on the market.

My mood ticket on this juice

Well there you go, the bottle is exhausted. What an idea that these 10 ml packaging at a time when our gear consumes as much as American muscle cars cubing above 5 liters of displacement. I didn't even have the leisure to test the Kilwa on a clearomiser. I vaped everything on a dripper… damned.

The disappointment is all the greater as I liked this juice. A larger bottle would have allowed me to shell it better (and enjoy it in the process). I was still able to get an idea and especially the conviction that this beverage will be ideal for this summer period and even after, when the fall arrives, its little gourmet side going very well too.

Of course, the Kilwa will be more at ease with gourmets using their device at “reasonable” values than with “Cloud chasers” but the advantage of the 50/50 ratio is to offer a very versatile juice and this one, it vapes well.

I have only one small problem in the chapter of the packaging to oppose it and the sanitary reservations that I expressed in the dedicated chapter concerning the presence of water and ethanol.

Despite this, all the elements are there to make Kilwa a success and therefore appreciated by the world.

One last point. The price recommended by Flavor Power is 5,90 €, which positions it in entry-level prices. However, while surfing the Internet you will not have any problem to find it at even more competitive rates.

See you soon for new adventures.

Long live the vape and the free vape,

About the Author

Follower of the tobacco vape and rather "tight" I do not balk in front of good greedy clouders. I love flavor-oriented drippers but am very curious about the evolutions of our common passion for personal vaporizers. Good reasons to make my modest contribution here, no?
