After having had the pleasure of dissecting the Doggystyle atomizer from the same manufacturer, here we are in the presence of the Dogfather, a mod which was thought to serve as a support.
Always considered in France by Animodz and manufactured in Taiwan by Vape Prod, it is therefore a 22mm diameter mod accepting only 18350 batteries. The tone is then set, we do not have here the Zeus stick intended to send lightning and generate storms but a quiet mechanical mod, made to be a beautiful object and vape peacefully.
A mod presenting well, aesthetically perfect when accompanied by the Doggystyle (179 € all at our sponsor instead of 259 €) but remaining quite expensive all the same. Of course, being a mod of moderator, there is no standard in the matter and the price is adapted if the product finds a buyer. So I won't argue about it.

Surgical steel, brass, nice threads and silver-plated connectors and switch spring, we are on the high end, obviously. Moreover, it is not only a question of the materials used but above all of the machining which is carried out to perfection. The quality of the polishing, the assemblies of the various parts, all this is worthy of the requested price. We are objectively in front of a mod of great quality.
But it would be limiting to stop there. The quality is nothing if the plastic is disadvantageous. And here too, the Dogfather is strong. Whether in the drawing or the realization, everything converges to give a beautiful and sober object at the same time. The brass inserts, the engravings on the body and the switch are in unison with this magnificent polished version and give a truly magnificent whole. A certain idea of elegance that defends itself, just by looking at the mod.

Reviewer's comments on functional features
Well, this is a mechanical mod, I remind you so it will not tell the time or serve as a flashlight to find your keys. On the other hand, it will happily welcome a good battery in 18350 and will deliver the tension as a good doggie brings you the newspaper.
The mod's conductivity is not the most noticeable but this defect must be sifted by considering that its size and the use of the 18350 battery disqualifies it anyway for cloud-chasing. It is obviously not made for that so the correct conductivity of which it is capable will be enough to feed a calm atomizer for a vape in tune.
The switch is very pleasant in its handling. This is an old-fashioned spring system with locking ring, nothing technically new but the precision of the machining means that the switch is soft and the ring is not reluctant to open or close. to close. Quality helps functionality, that's a great point. You will also note the opportune presence of a vent allowing the possible degassing of a malfunctioning battery.

Reviewer's comments on conditioning
The packaging is reassuring. A rectangular cardboard tunnel contains a very dense foam which perfectly protects the contents. It's practical and simple. But it is not very beautiful and in no way suited to the price claim of the object. For an equivalent price, some do much better. You will argue that others do worse by delivering an overpriced mod or ato in a bubble bag and you won't be wrong. But the customer deserves special attention when he splits a € 150 note, a more classy packaging would have been appreciated.
We console ourselves with a spares pouch containing an additional spring (less strained, it relieves the pressure on the switch) and spare gaskets as well as a manual in French and English which goes around the entire product.
It's good but can do better.
To those, still many, who will tell me that we do not vape with a box, I will answer that yes, a lot of vapers vapor with a box! And that an exceptional product deserves exceptional service. The packaging being part of this service, it is not to be taken lightly in this price range.

There is nothing to say about the use of the Dogfather which behaves very well in daily vape. Once again, the machining quality has a lot to do with it because it makes the use of the switch and the locking ring extremely simple.

The Dogfather, in these frantic times when the race for power takes the place of indicator in the ecosystem of the vape, is an outsider.
He fully assumes this role, with sovereign calm, focusing on its simple beauty and the quality of its manufacture. A bet that has certainly been won nicely. The Dogfather is an addicting item that attracts lust and desire. Even if its concept confines it to an old-fashioned vape, where the taste was better than the clouds, one can only be seduced by its timelessness.
