Comments on the packaging

Ah, French e-liquids are on the rise and that's only fair! Indeed, in the current vapology, five nations stand out largely by their juices: the United States of course with a plethora of vials and different tastes, China which, apart from a few rather rare cases, has remained with juices after all. fairly basic, Great Britain where small miracle workers like Druid's Brew and industrial manufacturers like T-Juice, the Philippines, who are starting to arrive on the European market with juices in the same steam process as their equipment and finally France, which offers a very impressive panel of manufacturers, large, medium and small and which relies on its gastronomic reputation to sell and why not export its juices elsewhere?

814 is a Girondin manufacturer which, like Nova-Liquides, is showing the history of France as a concept for its range of juices. It is far from being stupid since our history makes many countries dream and is an immense heritage wealth. The first liquid I'm going to test for you is Charlemagne, named after the great French emperor, who died, I'll give it to you in a thousand, in 814! The world is small, the story is small. But this juice looks like a great future!

The packaging is very pleasant. 20ml glass bottle, presence of the necessary information for the consumer, pipette with a fine tip, nothing is forgotten to help the vapoteur to use the product efficiently and without fuss.

The strange aspect comes from the levels of nicotine available: 4mg, 8mg and 14mg which are levels that are rarely found but after all, why not. There are habits that need to be shaken sometimes and no law has (yet) written down the famous 0, 6, 12, 18 that we have known so far.

Comments on the security, legal, health and religious aspects

And paf, the emperor fights against conformity and security arguments and wins by knockout on the first round! Everything is clear, explicit and we even have the right to a DLUO. It is even a textbook case and that falls well since it is this sacred Charlemagne who, if not invented it, at least worked for the propagation of elementary education. The example is given by the flask that bears his name, it's perfect!

Appreciation of the packaging

  • Does the graphic design of the label and the product name agree ?: Yes
  • Global correspondence of the packaging with the product name: Yes
  • The packaging effort made is in line with the price category: Could do better for the price

Comments on the packaging

There is nothing to criticize about the design of the packaging which, although simple, is done with enough talent and relevance to be in tune and happily accompany the story declined by the range.

A sober label shows an equestrian statue of Carolus Magnus, designed “in the medieval”, and serves as the only adornment for a simple but practical glass bottle. If this is not the find of the century, it has the merit of being sober and in good taste.

How good it is to find a gourmet tobacco in the middle of the current avalanche of fruit of all kinds !!!

Comments on the taste of the juice

Just by the smell, we understand perfectly the taste theme of Charlemagne and we salivate in advance, especially when we are, like me, an eternal lover of gourmet tobacco e-liquids. At the first suction, we are surprised by the power of the juice and its hit which goes down low in the throat. This is certainly due to the slight increase in nicotine compared to the 12mg / ml that I usually vape and to the use of a base in 60% of Propylene Glycol.

We can perfectly smell a base of blond tobacco, fine and very slightly harsh, I would tend to say “as it should be”, rounded off by a taste of shortbread, between sugar and fleur de sel. The promised coffee is present but light enough, it is just there to make a smooth transition between tobacco and biscuit. We are not on a strong coffee e-liquid but rather on a delicate and rustic pastry on a background of neutral tobacco.

And the result is impressive. Endowed with an abundant vapor taking into account the rate of VG, the Charlemagne is very attractive and inevitably recalls the most beautiful successes of the kind like the Breakfast Blend for example, not in the taste but in the style, a greedy tobacco “more” , pleasant to vape and a nice hold in the mouth. The 20ml lasted me three days and I never felt the slightest disgust or the slightest feeling of satiety. Vape Charlemagne makes you want to vape Charlemagne !!!! This is certainly due to a simple but finely proportioned recipe, which balances the different elements without ever making them outrageous and the consistency of the general taste is particularly interesting.

Tasting recommendations

  • Recommended power for optimal taste: 17 W
  • Type of steam obtained at this power: Thick
  • Hit type obtained at this power: Strong
  • Atomizer used for the review: Taifun GT, Cyclone AFC, Subtank, Expromizer, Change
  • Value of the resistance of the atomizer in question: 1.6
  • Materials used with the atomizer: Kantal, Cotton

Comments and recommendations for an optimal tasting

The Charlemagne is perfect between 15 and 18W. Even if it accepts to go up in the towers, it loses a little of its coherence with too much heat which will exacerbate the tobacco to the detriment of the other aromas. Preferably vape on an RBA coiled between 1 and 1.5Ω. The GT suits him very well, the Change too, the Expro ditto. It will be a little less comfortable on sub-ohm clearos, it is obviously not made for that.

  • Can this juice be recommended as an All Day Vape: Yes

My mood ticket on this juice

Excellent! A real good gourmet tobacco, a bit old-fashioned, but which magnificently awakens a category that was dormant. Well done, pleasant to vape, suave despite its high rate of propylene glycol but nevertheless powerful and full, Charlemagne gives us full palate but all in finesse and without excess. Just what it takes to bait us and make us dependent but not too much to never be sickening or boring.

This type of balance is difficult to find but when we arrive at such a result, the challenge is worth it and I would like to congratulate the fairies who leaned over the cradle of this Charlemagne who happily opens my general test of the range.

Congratulations for a sincere juice without burrs!
